QPR's Joey Barton Punched In Face In Liverpool

What a disgrace. What sort of world are we living in when a professional footballer can't go for a night out in Liverpool without being punched in the face?

I trust the two yobs involved will have the book thrown at them. With an international cap to his name, Barton is a treasured national asset and should not fall victim of modern Britain's yob culture when enjoying a night out in his home town.

The City of Liverpool will, no doubt, feel a deep sense of shame this morning following the assault on one of their greatest ever sporting and cultural icons, a role model for Scousers who stands alongside the likes of Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, Starkey, Cilla, Rick Astley, Tony Booth, Pete Burns, Keith Chegwin, Edwina Currie, Ken Dodd, the Diddymen, Robbie Fowler, Michael Jackson, Kevin Nolan, the McGanns, Wayne Rooney, Willie Russell, Anne Robinson, Sonia, Tarbie and his nice fella daughter, Stevie G, Charlie Seiga, Tacker Commerford and Derek Hatton.

The greater football family will set aside all difference's today and stand four square behind poor, poor Joey...offering to hold his jacket!

Hmmm, that last comment kinda spoiled my anger.
    Nasty.
    Why'd you put it up?
Was gonna say, just cos there's an audience through your page, that we Rs have come to know and love ;) - Hope they keep the dick in a stinking dungeon in the Merseyside area for at least as long as it takes for my club to remove every trace and memory of this person.
I despise reading these reports, that describe him as "QPR captain"!
    Not in my name...
    But that last comment, yuck!
