Sheffield United Floundering

So you narrowly miss out on automatic promotion and then get edged out by the narrowest of margins in a penalty shoot out in the playoff final - tell me, what's the sensible way forward?

The two automatically promoted clubs, Charlton & Sheffield Wednesday, were unquestionably the strongest in the division and far stronger than any of the three teams coming down from the Championship. Doncaster are a mess, Portsmouth are in administration, and Coventry are clueless. With Huddersfield also promoted and no big names left in the division, any decent team is sitting pretty for promotion next season. So tell me, what is the sensible way forward?

Is the sensible course of action to tear up a squad that narrowly missed out on promotion, releasing 11 players before you have sourced any replacements? As things stand, Sheffield United have just one forward on the books! What a joke!

We are shedding no tears over the plight of Shafting United but it does seem incredible that such a well supported team, fuelled with the millions of ill gotten gains from the Tevez affair, can find itself in such a mess. McCabe is, of course, a McCnut but how big a McCnut can you be exactly?

  1. haha. ill-gotten millions. the ones we got because you broke the rules (twice)? i'd rather have seen you lose points, then where would you be? same place you'd be now if you hadn't robbed Blackpool!

  2. p.s. i see your rules say nothing that could land us in court. most of what you wrote could land you in court - read up on defammation. we're all football fans at the end of the day so im just saying be careful.

  3. why are you bothering even referring to these fools? They'll spend the summer making up "new" songs for their convicted rapist former-players and planning their trips to crawley , brentford and "the BIG one' Donny.
Any team who's fans forget the basics of football i.e. win your final game and you can stay-up (and lets face it, they've got history on this front..!) and thern "blame" someone else deserve to be sent somewhere quiet to pull themselves together. leaves the pigs be,. Bless

  5. The Blades - kings of anti-football, clogging cloggers, now clogging up....division one. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

I LOVE it - because I hate those clogg boys.

Plenty clogg fans think their rapist should 'appeal' - but the only appeal he could make is not to get his ring ripped.
