Who has been scoring all our pre season goals? That would be Baldock. Who has most scope for improvement amongst our clutch of strikers? That would be Baldock. Who is the most lightweight physically? That, of course, would be Baldock too.
Allardyce, as we know, operates on the basis of "If you're big enough, you're good enough" and given his determination to play 4-5-1 / 4-3-3, there was never going to be a berth for a little striker to lead the line. The big question is, why on earth Allardyce ever signed him in the first place?
No complaints from me about selling him. There's not exactly a queue of clubs in for him, suggesting he is not "all that" and we have too many strikers already, even before we sign Carroll, or Tevez or who ever else the spin machine nominates this week!
Allardyce was Forced! to buy Sam Baldock by fans and David Gold I think was one supporting fans, now all of a sudden he does not fit into Big Sam's plans, but the young player seems to be stop scoring goals just as when he first joined us.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Big Sam's problem, is it his arrogance? the lady is not for changing???
This is a sticky wicket for BFS, you will see a lot of fans (me included) very unhappy with this sale.
ReplyDeletePlay the ball on the ground and to feet and both Maynard and Baldock will score for fun.
BFS will be under a lot of pressure unless we get off to a very good start and sales like this will actually all stack up against him. If we are playing good attractive football to feet, but are a little unlucky with results Sam will be fine, however if we are playing hoof ball, losing to teams we should be beating or more likely drawing with teams we should be taking points off, then bye bye fat boy.
My personal opinion is that little Sam is one to watch and I would have preferred to give him a little more time, im sure we could have loaned him out for a full season for him to prove himself…
Still we are signing Tevez and Ronaldo so what do we care about baldock right ?
No interest in this West Ham post whatsever !
ReplyDeletehahaha
Quite surprised after the money Hammers spent Big Sam didnt send Sam out on loan.
ReplyDeleteHaving said that I like a lot of Dons fans didnt think Sam was up to playing in the Prem a good Championship player when fit is how I saw him.
I think Big Sam is cutting his losses and getting some money while he can.
One can almost hear the wind blowing the tumbleweed through this outpost. No wonder you seek the attention of Leeds fans.
