Warnock Has Confused Priorities At Leeds

Another day, another defeat. And Leeds didn't lose against Hull because they were short of strikers - two goals should be enough to win any home game - but because they are as leaky at the back as an incontinent granny after a vindaloo curry.

Three goals shipped at home to Blackburn, two in Cardiff and three goals conceded against Hull. So much for the watertight defence that Leeds fans boasted about on here after the opening day victory over Wolves.

And so much for the promotion charge too. When I warned at the weekend that, even this early in the season, the table does not lie (look who already occupy the top four spots in the Prem) Leeds fans scoffed. But back to back defeats have put things into context. Leeds are already six points adrift of an automatic promotion place, and more worrying still, only one team in a play off place is less than six points, and so two victories, above the once mighty Whites. Playing catch up is a dangerous game!

In fact, Leeds are closer points wise to second from bottom than they are to Forest in sixth place! Warnock will cite injuries, bad luck and individual errors, but he put this team together and ultimately he must be accountable.

And meanwhile, Take Over Tuesday has, once again, become 'What Happened Then? Wednesday'. No movement forward on that front, and slipping below the plimsoll line in the Championship meanwhile. Things are not going to plan with a vengeance!

  1. They were beaten last night because the Tigers were by FAR the better side... We could have had a lot more goals. The only thing that stopped the Tigers being totally rampant was some poor finishing, some good keeping and a really poor ref. TWS should have had 2 players sent off and the "penalty" was outside the area. City were rampant - even Tony Cottee on SSN had us battering L**ds and had us totally rampant in the 1st half....

  4. Hammersfan, listen lad, Leeds have no money, in fact I think I have more money than they do. The problem is Bates and you know that, yet you keep having digs, why. We like you just want to go see our team win, just like every fan in the country. Who gives a toss wether the takeover comes sooner or later, it surely must come. You know I honesly doubt there's one fan in Leeds who would like to see West Ham or any other club in our position, we need clubs to be competitive, thats what makes football great, it's why we go and give our hard earned. Please stop all this rubbish. By the way, Scott Tracey, lololol, yeah ok and you have a brother called virgil, and you all pilot thunderbirds, whats yours, thunderbird one or two, three, four, You are good for a laugh though. Thunderbirds are go.

  5. The oracle returns, the all knowing Hammerhead

    Everybody knows....
The current Leeds team were thrown together in the space of a few weeks, for virtually nothing

Everybody knows Leeds have lost their main striker

Everybody knows Leeds have lost two midfielders in the first few weeks of the season

Everyone knows the replacement midfielder hasnt played for 18 months but had to be thrown into the action

Everyone knows that Leeds will really struggle to pick up any points against Bristol, Sheff W,Barnsley,Birmingham,Forest in the next 5 league games...

Everybody knows that relegation will be nearer than promotion.

Everybody knows the Leeds fans will moan and moan...

Everyone knows the only solution for Leeds fans is to stick with Warnock, stay positive, and support the team.

Everyone knows there is no takeover until the day it is announced - you know that fans gibbering on a forum have no real info - so don't harp on about it pal

Everyone knows West Ham have started with all the easy fixtures at the start of the season,
lets see how you get in November!

Everyone knows you are a cockney twat

  8. For once you have hit the proverbial nails on their collective heads; we have more chance of relegation than anything else with the bunch of jobsworths we have been forced to employ; Becchio, Austin, Byram and Lees apart there is a total lack of talent in the team that turned up last night. and if you chance to observe the cockney shitheafds comments, apparently the takeover / investment is still on track, but these things always take time; more especially when there is a conniving bastard in charge and no less than 27 companies accounts, all connected to LUFC before anymore can begin to unravel who owns what etc. the old twat should have stayed at and destroyed chelsea and done everyone a favour; still could be worse we could be like those poor buggers who support Portsmouth, certainly puts our issues into perspective. how is Rumania treating you or have you moved on again?

  9. Top be honest I can't say I'm happy with the last couple of results and I very much doubt based on our current situation that we will be able to make top 6 now. However, this may end up as a blessing in disguise. The fact that we have som many injuries to key players, a thread bare squad and a current owner that is reluctant to put his hand in his pocket, may lead to the takeover going through sooner (this side of Christmas) rather than later. Hopefully then we can strengthen in the next window and consolidate things.

  13. See where your lot are by Christmas, you'll be bottom half of the prem and on course for a trip back to the Championship.

  14. Hammersfan, you can't blame Warnock for assembling a mid table championship squad. Remember he had to do this from scratch with virtually no investment whatsoever. I know you often make comparisons between him and Grayson (I.e. league position before and after etc) but remember any "success" Grayson had was based on a handful of players which he had absolutely no influence. His dealings in the transfer market we're simply atrocious. In fact the only one he got right was Gradel and even then that started as one of the 1000 emergency loan deals (and took some encouragement from the crowd at that). If Grayson stayed the key players (not signed by him) would still have left and we would probably be looking at relegation this season. Apart from the fans Warnock is the only good thing left at ER.

  15. You clearly have too much time on your hands and have a deep seated hatred towards LUFC.

I wonder if this is because some of the home truths you have been given by follow supporters has really burnt you.

I conclude this must be the case because the abused is now trying, yes trying to become the abuser with the school girl bitchiness and pettyness.

It must be difficult knowing WHU are a non entity, a small east London club whom will never ever be able to compete or be known as a 'big club' in London.
