You couldn't write it! GFH Capital are taking ownership of Leeds on December 21st, but Santa Bates is going nowhere! A "period of transition" will see him stay in charge of the club in the role of Chairman until the end of the season and he will then move up to the role of President! Meanwhile, Warnock will remain in charge of the team!
This has to be the worst of all worlds. Shatan has bought the soul of Leeds United yet Bates is going nowhere. Talk about not having your cake and not eating it!
You are a negative piece of shit. 100% new owners. Leeds fans will treat you with the contempt you deserve. MOT
ReplyDeleteyou can go and write about your own team now!!! you cockney inbread....
ReplyDeleteHa Ha, you must be spitting feathers. Great news for us, bates will have no more say in what happens at our great club than I would. More importantly the words "immediate injection of funds" make me smile.
ReplyDeleteAll leeds fans will be pleased at this news and you cant stand it.
You are rather stupid...
ReplyDeleteThe takeover is complete, the only reason Bates is staying on is to get a cut of the club's earnings.
He's not 'moving up' to the position of President. President is a lesser position than Chairmen...
The fact that GFH are 100% shareholders means what Haigh and Patel says goes!
Im sure you write this blog just to wind us Leeds fans up....
Bates has a role where he doesn't control money and investment!!! I'm happy with that! Gonna be eating you words in no time! WAFLL!!! Trophy dodgers!!!
ReplyDeletethe day you have been waiting for HF!!! loser....bates as chairman till end of season showing them the ropes and then as president basically sitting on his arse in monaco as a consultant. im happy enough with that.this is a good day for leeds united and you cant write anything that will make me think other wise!
ReplyDeletelove it. Its so true, wish we could get rid of bates but hopefully this will give us amuch needed lift. Well i'm sure you hope it doesnt but us fans do!
ReplyDeleteyou must really love leeds took you half an hour to get something out.bet you dont spend as much time on your own clubs website.MOT.
ReplyDeleteBates will merely be a figurehead with little power so how is this bad as you portray? Even Bates himself said he is looking forward to stepping back and taking time off. Wee bit jealous deranged Hammer??? We will not go up this season but we will become a powerful force next season.
ReplyDeleteLEEDS LEEDS LEEDS... MARCHING ON TOGETHER NOTHING YOU CAN SAY NOW SO YOU MIGHT AS WELL GO BACK UNDER YOUR BRIDGE TROLL
ReplyDeleteWE LOVE YOU LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
talk all the shite u want but the way i see it mate, nw is an expert in this league who has been trying to perform miracles with zero money. add that to the fact that bates is an expert at balancing the books and keeping a tight run ship. then along come a gang of billionaires to give us a pile of money to spend...
ReplyDeleteits not a bad situation at all in my opinion. hate bates as much as we all do but at the end of the day he kept us afloat with no financial help thats the way im looking at it
David Haigh, Deputy CEO, GFH Capital Limited said: “After a long process of negotiations, spanning Leeds, London, Monaco, Dubai and Bahrain, it gives us great pride today, to have completed the deal for Leeds United.
ReplyDelete“A brief but important transitional period now begins in terms of the changeover of ownership: we have today injected further funds into the club and now we look to the future and start the exciting journey to take Leeds United FC back into a prime position in English football once again.
“From a Leeds family myself and a supporter of The Whites since childhood, I know that football is at the very heart of the people of Leeds and the wider community. We want to thank all the fans in UK and around the world for their patience and support while the negotiations have been taking place. Lets now march on together, taking the club back to the Premier League as soon as possible.”
That'll do for me and every Leeds United fan.
A the end of the day all we ever wanted was investment in our club. Now we have it.
Close the door on your way out HF.

Never mind Bates, Neil Warnock spending their money on rubbish will have them bankrupt before you can say "Neanderthal Tactics!"
ReplyDeletewe are coming to get you mooo hahahha !!!
ReplyDeleteand who is shatan?
bates is a financial genius and wont be tight with money that isnt his he will spend it wisely, gfh want to invest in players and thats what leeds fans want so how are we not eating our cake?
ReplyDeletetotaly disagree. i know your only blogging to wind people up but thats not even clever.
ReplyDeletewe now have a top manager with backing to buy in january, a gang of millionaires with money to sqander on us and uncle ken overseeing everything. hate him as we do, but at the end of the day he wont allow any club that has ties to him fall into debt or negative balance.
its a good arrangment i think.
Oh Dear.... just what you didn't want to hear PAL. You can sour it as much as you want, you know it's the start of the way back for the mighty Whites and you are shitting it. Now go and give your father-in-law a BJ and blow some bubbles on that!!! LUFC MOT!!!!! LEEDS, LEEDS, LEEDS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor some fans who have become more obsessed with ridding LUFC of Bates than seeing us move forward as a football club this will be seen as a hollow victory. Some of us however who feel that investment is more important than the Bates saga will view this news with reserved optimism.
ReplyDeleteIt remains to be seen whether the new owners have the financial clout to take us forward, the jury is also still out regarding whether Colin can perform better than he has if financial restraints are removed.
Personally I'm just pleased to see an end in sight to the distraction of the takeover saga that has split fans over recent months and hope that we can once again become UNITED in doing what we do best...giving unconditional vocal support and getting behind the team.
If and when we gain some much needed stability at Elland Road you may want to move on and revel in someone elses pain......
MMMMMMM Lets just wait and see, as usual you seem very quick to pass judgement on something you know very little about! Thought most of your time would be taken up trying to lure David Beckham to play for the footballing greats Hammertime. He should fit in well, having been known to wear some dodgy pants in his time. But realistically........ Never going to happen. OR You seem very quiet about taking over the Olympic stadium. AGAIN Never going to happen. Lots of talk coming from you about Leeds, so get a season ticket and come and join us! You closet Leeds fan you. Trev Degz
ReplyDeleteCock

ReplyDeleteBates is gone, the presidential role is nothing but symbolic
Looks like the takeover IS backed by a "very wealthy individual"
"GFH Capital are backed by the right resources, including a very wealthy individual. There have been a lot of rumours and wild statements, but we have had to be measured and considered to ensure we don't fall into the trap others have done"
ta ta darling !! xxxx
Long Live Neil you sad cockney twat
ReplyDeleteWarnock is the best
ReplyDeleteNeil Neil Neil
ReplyDeleteIll informed garbage. Bates will be President not the Chairman (who owns and runs the club)
ReplyDeleteTedious Hammers a little too boring for you?
Like you say if its a good deal for leeds why would bates walk from the Club? He Still has his fingers in a big fat pie. Must be a good deal and wants in on it. Coyi
ReplyDeleteWhat a joke!!!! Is that the best you can do Hammersfan?? You must be choking on your own vomit!!!
ReplyDeleteYour pathologicl hatred of Warnock does not extend to the sane world and we know he is the best man to tak Leeds to success so that snivvly comment sounds so desperate. Given the resources he will now get then Warnock will be able to do for us what he did for QPR
You are so so so so sick now that the takeover has finally happened that this pithy piece of shite is all you can come up with
Suffer in your pants Moron..we are Leeds and we are coming at you!!
