At last, action. I'm delighted to see that the club are asking Tottenham to help identify fans guilty of racist chanting and are promising life bans for anybody found to be engaging in this sick and shameful activity.
The only pity is that it has taken until now to act. This sick chanting has been going on for far too long and it is not only the away fans who engage in it.
Now we need to see the club delivering on the threats and the police taking action against the culprits too. Hopefully, the scum are starting to sweat.
Public shaming, loss of employment, criminal prosecution and lifetime bans might just bring home the fact that there is a VERY THICK LINE between banter and racism!
If any Spurs fans look in on this post, I can only offer sincere apologies and say that I am not alone amongst West Ham fans in feeling utter disgust with regard to the chanting.
A hefty points deduction is the only way to stop the hordes of Hammersfans chanting about the holocaust. Send their club into the relegation zone and they'll soon shut up, and if not good riddance.
ReplyDeleteRespect.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Spurs fan for over 50 years
Yet like a cancer you infect football sites spreading your hatred and bile? You've got a nerve you sad bitter and twisted old man. Is your club and your family proud of what you do when you're at your laptop?
ReplyDeleteJust think how empty your ground will be when they ban all the racist scum. You should also be banned for incitement and for your racist comments to Muslims.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear that WHU are taking action. Lets not label these inadequates 'fans' though.... they just attach themselves to any badge where others gather and help them get away with it. What I will say though is that Sam Alladyce missed his chance to condemn the chanting and this altimately has done him no favours when it comes (it does to every manager) to keeping his job after a run of poor results. He should have shown guts and stood-up against them.
ReplyDeleteNot all West Ham Fans are scum. I am absolutely appaled at what happened yesterday but there is no need to brandish them all as the same thing. West Ham are a great club but it the few that ruin it for everyone. All clubs have bad fans.
ReplyDeleteAnyone talking about a point ban should also say that Liverpool and ManU should reduce points for chanting about Hillsborough, Millwall fans for constantly taunting Leeds about Galatassary, and even Tottenham fans for chanting that they wanted to kill Sol Campbell. He who is without sin should cast the first stone, and no fans are without the minority of fan bases who are total f**kheads. We have them at West Ham, I'm sure Tottenham has them as well. Gold and Sully should ban those fans for life and no sort of racism or hatred abuse should be allowed at football grounds

ReplyDeleteAs you can't blog anymore about west ham through embarrassment and you'll no doubt be too ashamed to talk about Leeds,Watford or Qpr,why don't you turn your attention to cricket for a change? Everyone will be dying to see what you have to say. I bet you get loads of comments aswell? You've already done it?

ReplyDeleteIt really is time for football supporters like these to grow up. Maybe it's the education system which has spared these fools the atrocities committed by the Nazis or maybe they just don't care!
ReplyDeleteA good place to start would be for Newsnow to ban this particularly hateful and inciteful website which commits so much effort to stirring hatred between fans of rival football clubs.
Unfortunately, less educated fans reading this sort of stuff are goaded into this sort of puerile behaviour by websites just like this one because they think its clever to have baseless prejudices whether it be about your politics, your football team, your football team's manager or where you were born. Irrational prejudice breeds more irrational prejudice and if left unabated results in very bad things done in the name of your team, your political party or the place you live. Time to grow up a bit HF - and don't try and hide behind the "I condemned it" line.
No 1545 I must disagree with you there as all West Ham fans should be tarred with the same brush, all of them I tell you.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't 'I'm forever blowing bubbles..' mean taking collective responsibility for the actions of all your supporters?
What's Dave Jones got to say about West Ham fans?
ReplyDeleteNo tolerance for RACIST SCUM, whatever club they 'support'.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you Say sorry for being a dickhead Leeds fan hate you
ReplyDeleteWest ham fans are vile animals, the lot of them.
ReplyDeleteMMMMMM WHERE HAVE I HEARD THAT BEFORE.
That wasnt a minority of Wet spam fans chanting either. Cockney low lifes
This has blown up in your face now hasn't it Hammersfan.
ReplyDeleteLeeds fans anticipate your apology.
Personally, I quite like West Ham and hope you can sort these minority of morons out. I also don't feel the need to start a blog devoted to abusing fans of another team, but that's just me, you're clearly a different creature with some mental shortcoming.
The Hitler chant clearly audible on TV replays, so it definitely wasn't
ReplyDeleteone or two - more like [at least] one or two hundred. But the thickness of the 'average' lumpen plonker is almost predictabel. So Hitler bombed the east End in the blitz - then let the 'fans' of an east end club chant support for him. Best player [on loan] is Israeli ? - then lets have some good old anti-jewsih chants eh lads. For general ignorance, the plonker layer of WHU easily rival Milwall [or as they calll them, the 'pikeys']. Like I say, when it comes to basic ignorance, the WHU/Essex chump sub-class take some beating.
Time to police your own is not? This is what you were saying when our goon attacked Kirkland! Have you stopped to think though, your blog and its relentless attacks on Neil Warnock and by association LUFC are actually in a way part of the same breed as the goons? After all they are also just seeking a reaction from winding up rival fans, makes you think doesn't it?
ReplyDelete4th paragraph is spot on but you could take it further by banning the team from all competitions for the rest of the season. unfortunately it was not a small minority chanting in this way on sunday. It was a few hundred. maybe some of those people were just 'lemmings' but that is no excuse. thanks for the apology. My ancestors were killed by the nazi's during WW2 and it is very upsetting to hear such abuse. Thanks for the apology though, it means a lot.
ReplyDelete1022, it is time for the club to act, yes. I don't think Allardyce ordered his players to applaud the morons who were chanting this fould abuse in the way that Warnock ordered his players to applaud the animalistic behaviour of your louts at Hillsborough. We are promising to ban ALL those found to be involved; have Leeds done that? If so, it passed me by.
ReplyDelete0533, what do I have to apologise to Leeds fans for? I have called the West Ham fans who engaged in this "scum" - the same holds for the Leeds fans who taunted Dave Jones and sang in tribute to Jimmy Savile. I am not in the habit of apologising to abusive scum for condemning them!
1022, posting my opinions on the plight of Leeds United FC is not really comparable with what happened at White Hart Lane and Hillsborough, now is it? For a comparison, look to the ill educated foul abuse left as comments on this blog!
ReplyDeleteYour blogs are written purely to offend and incite Leeds United supporters. It's as simple as that. Here's a thought though. Why not keep your opinions to yourself? For some reason you can't take the hint, even w,ham supporters don't like you apart from one or two snivelling sycophants who send in grovelling comments commending you for winding up those "northern types". Personally i think it's about time w, ham acted on you. You have been building up hostility between Leeds and w,ham for a good while now, as you sit back in another country like the coward you are.
ReplyDelete1126, how do you explain the Leeds fans who compliment this blog then? Maybe they have the intelligence to understand that you can give an honest opinion without trying to incite hatred. Goodness me, I don't hate you and look at all the nasty things you say about me.

ReplyDelete... hands up who's against racism; thought so most people.
Getting into a public lather about it is easy and not very effective as those who aren't cheer and feel good about themselves and those who are scowl silently.
Racism is but one form of discrimination and, for example, when it comes to gay innuendo on on this site HF I'm afraid I sometimes wince at what i read, although I am sure you mean no offence.
The best way to tackle any form of discrimination is to start with our own miserable lives and consider our own words and deeds and do something about it rather than shout about it without being pious and recognising that much of humour is based on sending up difference.
I don't think this has anything to do with being pious Kevin and there was no hunour involved either. Things can be said tongue in cheek and, as I maintained in the Anton - Terry fracas, the thought police should not be allowed to bully us into an unnecessarily PC world; but taunting Spurs fans with the Holocaust is not in any way witty nor acceptable.
ReplyDeleteHf at 14.22. Why give "an honest opinion" about something that doesn't concern you anyway? News now is full of honest opinions from genuine Leeds United supporters. All you do is make worse the relations between both clubs set of supporters. You aren't offering anything intelligent to any discussion and i seriously question the provenance of any complimentary comments on these blogs. I have proven several times that you constantly contradict yourself as you continually claim to write intelligent blogs for intelligent fans. Frankly you're a liar and a charlatan. Your writing is of the standard of a 70s down market tabloid. Several times over the past few months i have posted comments appealing to Leeds fans not to get embroiled in this rubbish. Every time the comments weren't approved for some reason whereas all comments containing insults are references to cancer always get posted. Again i question the provenance of those comments. You've been selective with all the comments that appear on every post to suit your own ends. I notice also that when the behaviour of your supporters is called into question yourself and the other west ham cretins come out with the song of the desperate and guilty-"well they did it first" "your fans did that" etc. Pathetic man who can't admit he's wrong.
ReplyDelete1603, it is very interesting that you are incapable of following your own advice. You keep getting embroiled in these arguments. Why? This thread isn't even about Leeds yet you still feel the need to read it and respond. Do I feel the need to chase you around the internet? No. What right do you have to an opinion on my blog? The same right as I have to an opinion on Leeds. You see, you hoist yourself by your own petard!
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, I haven't defended the chanting in any way. It was Leeds fans who justified their foul actions by pointing the finger at Sheffield Wednesday fans and bleating, "Please sir, they started it!" Read my posts and I say that there can be NO excuse for what West Ham fans did at Tottenham!
I Only read the comments, your posts aren't worth reading. There's something wrong with you. Nice to see i can still pull your strings though. What do your family think of your hobby of bad blogging and incitement?
ReplyDeleteThe articles are probably too big a jump from Janet and John books 1650! Mind you, dragging your finger across the computer screen must necessitate a lot of screen cleaner.
ReplyDeleteIn a sentence - it has all blown up in your face and you are humiliated.
ReplyDeleteIf you ARE a Hammerfan and you ARE an Eastender you know this was only a matter of time.
Now, whereabouts did BNP get their first council seat? Was it Leeds?
Hmmm....no, it was.....oh dear...the east end of London...oh dear.
