Diame Departing In January
I think we might as well accept that, barring a leg break - which won't help us! - Diame is packing up his new kit bag and buggering off in January. First Gold confirms the release clause, then Allardyce comes out and admits that if the right price is offered, he is powerless to retain Diame.
What we need now is for Diame to come out and say that he is not interested in a move, that he loves West Ham, is enjoying his time at the club and wants to play for the club for the rest of his career. The trouble is, the Mobot has been ominously silent.
Time to source a replacement me thinks. In the meantime, let's hope Diame is in the mood to impress possible new employers Liverpool at the Boleyn today!
He won't go liverpool as he didn't fit there style of play. Same as arsenal really.
ReplyDeletechill out, diame chose us over liverpool etc in the summer so why would he leave now when he is on good money, enjoying his football and playing well, he saw his contract out with wigan for gods sake so why would he leave us after a dozen games?
ReplyDeleteif a team meets his release clause its still up to him if he wants to turn it down, and if he wants to leave then how much is he worth to us if he dosent want to be here, i would say the amont his release clause is worth, so chill your beans
I wouldnt assume anything, HF. One minute there are reports he will leave, the next there are reports he loves WHUFC and we are working in a new deal to eliminate the buyout. Besides, you yourself have written that he has had as many average performances as stellar.
ReplyDeleteIf Diame's primary motivation is money, it's just as likely he would accept a new deal to stay at a club that he is a first team regular than start anew elsewhere.
The thing that upsets me is we could very easily keep Diame and even bring Demba Ba back in January, both for around £11M. Amazing value. But Gold won't spend that. Once again any sign of talent at WH and they're off. West Ham the shopwindow of football.
ReplyDelete3.2 ha ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't exceptional today when having to play a full game until he got injured I wonder how many will want him in January now
ReplyDeleteGoing nowhere now he is injured for three months. Why look for a replacement? Diarra is supposedly back in December so should slot straight into the side
ReplyDeleteWell plastic hammer, why on earth would Diame want to leave such a massive club? Beats me. Just goes to show that Diame's not forever though.
ReplyDeleteLIAR.
