Chamakh Signs For Six Months To Sullivan's Chagrin

So Jack Sullivan aint pleased but I expect his Dad has told him when it is his own money, he can buy who he wants - but for now...

A good, bad or indifferent signing? I think only time will tell. Wenger rarely makes a mistake when he lets a player go but he hasn't exactly let Chamakh go yet has he?

We needed another striker, even if we keep both Carroll and Maiga. Who knows, if he gets an early goal, there may be no stopping him. And as a loan signing, there's no pressure on him is there?

Anyway, it's another member of the squad with Premiership experience so, on balance it has to be good news.

  1. Can we please get a left back!
HF can you confirm of Tomkins is rumored to go? I heard he was but our news isn't up to date.

  2. We were after him before he went to Arsenal. I think this is quite a positive signing. For a skinny guy, he is very good in the air so would obviously be of interest to Big Pam.

I think it seems more likely that the Carroll option (I hope it's an option and we haven't been tied down) won't be taken up, and certainly not at £17m, I hope.

  5. Superb business getting a player who rejected west ham to join Arsenal and when he's no longer figuring in Wengers plans joins the premier league joke shop/reject bin along with cole, caroll, jarvis and noble. Thought i'd better comment as the response has been pathetic so far. Am i number 5 now?

  7. I'm pleased with this one, he could well come good in our side. I'm sure he would have buried some of the sitters our front line have missed this season

  8. Aah what a shame. A crowd of cockneys, ugly beyond redemption had thought they'd won the game and v,persie got on the end of a long ball to give the cretins a taste of their own hoof ball medicine. You can shove your fairy liquid up your arses. Actually you do already.

  10. Come on HF! No post on Cole's delightful crosses?! And he's hardly the best at the art. But it seems certainly better than you know who!

And when will we sell Tomkins to Newcastle?! When everyone realises that he's Titus Bramble's brother? Guy is slow and lacks footballing intelligence.

Remember a guy by the name of Elliott Ward? He was a much better prospect than young Tomka. Sadly the purchase of Gabbidon and Collins when we were promoted in '05 forced him out and we lost someone who'd have developed into a fine defender at our club, I believe. Tomkins won't.

  12. Fans of the 80s,why not pop along to the boleyn ground and re-live those heady days of hoofball with the WIMBLEDON AND SHEFF WED tribute team. And for fans of that 80s step-over,you can see it time and time again with the one trick pony that is JOE COLE.
