Still Not Safe!

Never mind events at Stamford Bridge, with Noble, Nolan and Cole all ruled out, today was always about damage limitation, and keeping the score to two meant that was achieved. Our goal difference is still decent and much better than Villa's, Wigan's, Norwich's, Reading's and QPR's. But complacent Hammers who keep insisting we can't go down should study the Premiership table tonight.

This was so nearly the perfect weekend, but late winners for Wigan and Villa, on top of Southampton's victory over Liverpool, mean that nobody is safe up to Stoke and Norwich - and we are beneath them!

It's going to be a nail biting end of the season still. Birmingham thought they were safe two seasons back, and look what happened to them. With Man Utd all but ordained as Champions, there promises to be some freak results involving the teams at the top, and if Wigan can stay focused in the league, I can see them escaping.

And if Wigan aren't going down, we must be in the mix as we are only three points above Villa.

Bloody Pardew and Newcastle. Had they held on for a draw, we could all have gone to bed happy despite the defeat at Chelsea. Instead, there's a few sleepless nights ahead I fear.

bring in martinez or di canio and at least lets have some exciting football....

bfs is so predictable and his signings are a joke!! can we bring in anyone under the age of 30 plz????

god i am praying we stay up but we have ZERO quality and any hammers fan should be worried now!! seriously worried!!

stay up get the tv oney and move to olympic stadium, pay of debts with selling upton park and we may just be in a position to get a big, big investor in......

  9. Sunderland are in far worse danger than us, HF. And Wigan still needed a blown call for hand ball to get that winner. They won't get that lucky every week. I reckon we finish on 41. Wins over Reading and WBA and a draw at St Mary's.

  10. Our mediocre players couldn't match Chelski's millionaire team. Only Carroll any good, the rest outclassed. Jussi did well, considering the chumps like Collins et al in front of him. The 'saviours' should dig into their pockets and shell oput for some footballers - preferably not from Lardyce's agent pal ie, stay away from the has-beens.

  11. How toothless do we look when Diame goes off? Speaking of which...let's hope we have our teeth back in, because it is by the skin of them that we will survive.

  12. And anyone else find Allardyce's financial fair play comments strange? Yes he has done a good job since taking over, but we have been good for him too. What other club this size with this much potential for growth was there for him? So when he suggests he may not sign a new contract, is he taking the p*ss? You'd jump at it mate, so stop playing games.

As a Chairman, I wouldnt have taken too kindly to those comments

  14. The guy who said Wigan were gutsy is spot on!!! They may have needed a hand ball but it is about creating chances and they do!!!!

We create nothing, nada, zero just pump it long!!!!

And as for the guy who said 41 points you are dreaming.....

We finish on 37 !!! With other teams starting to play for their lives our one dimensional play with be our downfall....

Creativity wins matches and we have none!!!!

I fear championship football beckons as someone said Sunderland earlier but again you forget one thing...they can hit the back of the net and fletcher, graham and cisse will score some. We have Carroll, cole and chamach who would u rather have?...
