Don't get me wrong, I like Southampton's Rodrigues as a player and think we were bloody lucky he didn't start because of a virus, but Messi or Ronaldo he aint, and Pogatetz made him look like a world beater after his introduction.
How long was the former Miserableboro man on the pitch? About 20 minutes? And in that time he was done all ends up, collected a yellow and, on another day, might have seen a red. He had no way of stopping young Jay other than fouling him.
Based on what I have seen since his arrival, Pogatetz is slow, cumbersome and brainless. Thank God we only have him on loan!
I have to agree 100% I'm afraid. Come on Sam, surely we can do better?
ReplyDeleteHe makes Tomkins look good so he must be BAD !
ReplyDeleteCalled it in his first game for us: "Pogatetz is a lumbering accident waiting to happen. Jittery, uncomfortable on the ball and utterly slow. He should not be given another game. I would play Potts ahead of him every time, despite his inexperience".
ReplyDeleteWhy the manager fails to see is beyond me.
Think that is unfair Bubbles. Tomkins has been hugely impressive over the last two games as Collins has acknowledged. He is still young for a centre back, and he is learning. Pace issues will always be a problem but Moore wasn't quick, nor was Tony Adams, nor Alvin.
ReplyDeleteDid you post that on here Stani?
ReplyDeleteThe fact that we could sign such a lousy player in the first place is concerning, actually playing him in more than one game far more worrying.Who the hell watches these players and makes the decisions to buy?
ReplyDeleteI think I recall that post, Stani. After the Spurs game perhaps? Sam has already said in today's press conference that Pog will play if Tomkins can't. Makes no sense to me. Assuming Sam is not expecting any points from this game, why not play Potts or Spence? Zero to lose. Like a League Cup game.
ReplyDeleteNo way he should play ahead of Potts!!
ReplyDeleteYup HF.
ReplyDeleteIt was the game just before that one Dave...HF's post on the Villa game on the 11th of Feb.
Just worries me that Allardyce can firstly bring in players that are clearly so poor, and secondly, actually play and persist with them when it's obvious they are poor and not at a stage in their career where you will see them improve. If we play Pogatetz, he will single handedly cost us games.
9 comments? and 2 of them from the host, hammer fraud. Weren't you all warned about Pogatetz when he signed? Can't you remember the supporters of hammer frauds first love pissing themselves laughing? The same with CARLOS McCartney,oh how we laughed. Nevermind, Sammy is already making plans for next season so you've got him for at least another year. Stand clear of the oche, you can't beat a bit of Bully.
ReplyDeleteIf Sam plays Pogatetz against Man. U I will lose all faith in him having a rational brain.
ReplyDeleteI watched Pogatetz play for Austria against Ireland a couple of weeks ago. He was worse than useless and Shane Long ran him ragged all night. He gave away a penalty because fouling was the only way he could stop Long. I would like to see that he never dons Claret and Blue again unless it's Burnley!
