Tottenham's Parker sidesteps QPR to join Fulham

So Scotty's agent has done it again, negotiating another 3 year contract which keeps the injury prone, ageing, running round in circles, midfield spinning dynamo in the Prem and so in with a shout of going to Brazil...well in Scotty's mind at least.

Redknapp must be fuming. 'Arry went out on a limb when pushing the case for signing Parker when at Spurs and Levy clearly wasn't keen on the deal, preferring to invest in younger players whose value might spiral - like Bale - rather than old lags with depreciation stamped all over their foreheads. 'Arry won the day and got his man, but Levy had his card marked from that point forward.

The Parker groupies will again make their case for the ever spinning action figure, but AVB didn't rate him and Wenger has never shown any interest. Why? Because the guy is so limited.

QPR fans should be rejoicing at the news that Parker has opted for Fulham  - because as those legs get older, the injuries are likely to multiply and Scotty's all action style is going to be more and more difficult to maintain.

  1. Parker was good for Tottenham he is still a fine player albeit plagued by injuries over the last 18 months. He will do great job at Fulham if he can stay fit. All true Spurs supporters should realise the good things he brought to the club and wish him a healthy, successful 2013/2014.

  3. Hopefully hoops spend the dosh on more important attacking midfielders and keep Barton, faurlin, jenas and even Henry as good enough in Parker role. Shame Harry doesn't like Diakite, him and faurlin for me....need more pace Harry. O'neil looked surprisingly good for ex hammer.

  4. He did a decent job that needed doing when Sandro was first growing into his role and then again last season when his knee exploded and was out for the best part of the year. The reason Parker went round in circles so much last season was because he had nobody to pass it to, a lack of options.

  5. Parker, for all his limitations would still be far superior to any midfielder At west ham,
Yet he has lost The ability to remain a squad player At spurs, as they continue to recruit top draw talent from across The globe.
The gulf is class between west ham And spurs is simply monstrous.

I heard one of The porn barons talking up stewart downing -one of The worst england players of all time- like he has signed messi.

  6. I am not necessarily a Parker "lover or hater" but one thing is for sure, if he is sooo rubbish why has he and still has more chance of getting in the England team before any of your spam danglers who you seem to rate so highly!? Factamondo!

  7. Great point on the injury front - never gonna be the same player he was at West Ham (and love the Action Man analogy). Still would've been a shame to see the FWA player of the year from only 2 years ago have to drop out of the division to get a game though
