Hodgson Snubs West Ham again as Liverpool man is called up

Did Hodgson have a snooze through the Tottenham game one wonders? How else can you explain his decision to overlook Ravel in favour of Raheem Sterling?

Both are highly talented bad boys, of course, but surely Morrison has done more to justify a call up than the Liverpool man? His goal against Spurs was nothing short of sensational and his play has been consistently impressive since he came into the side. And given Cleverley is the man who has dropped out, Morrison looks the more natural replacement.

In fact, it is beginning to look as if Woy has a prejudice against West Ham men. He has, after all, consistently ignored the claims of Noble, Nolan, Joe Cole, Tomkins and Downing. Meanwhile, old nag Milner gets picked in every squad, even though he isn't good enough for his club team and he looks distinctly mediocre every time he pulls on an international shirt.

It's time for the Davids to speak out, challenging Woy to justify his policy of overlooking the claims of West Ham players in a World Cup year. Do you know who won the bloody World Cup in 1966 Hodgson?

  1. Morrison is the only player out of those you listed that should be getting a shot. I dont think any of the others are good enough to displace those ahead of them including Mark Noble who I rate as less of a player than Milner

  2. This is the most deluded article I have read in a long time. Just because he's not a guaranteed starter for Man City does not mean Noble, Nolan, Downing are better than Milner. None of our players would get in the England side currently. Give Ravel time and he'll force his way in through consistent performances.

Very happy that are players are ignored. . We could do without the injuries and let's not pile to much on to Ravel's young shoulders or put him in the international shop window. It's going to be hard enough to hold onto him as it is.

    1. Kev, I couldn't agree more. In my opinion Noble is long overdue an England call up when the likes of Henderson, Osman, Cleverly get picked but if it means that our players don't get injured, I'd rather they not receive the recognition!!

  5. Milner is a far, far better player than any of those players you named. And Ravel will get his turn in time - I'd be more annoyed if he did get called up right now than if he didn't.

  6. Sorry but I have to disagree. England need players with a winning mentality, not from West Ham who headed for the drop
