What a pile of crap! Look at the starting eleven today and it was embarrassing. Never mind the injuries, the squad Allardyce has put together is simply pathetic, and the reason, of course, is the ludicrous purchase of the injured Carroll and the superfluous Downing.
Any team featuring Demel, McCarthorse, O'Brien, a semi fit Diarra, Taylor, Collison and Maiga in the starting line up is going to struggle. Where was the creativity? Where was the flair? Where was the goal scoring potential? There was none, of course. OK, we took the lead with the most route one goal in the history of route one, but we were never going to keep hold of it and we were never going to score a second - even with eleven men on the pitch.
The Nolan sending off was a disgrace. He was no doubt pissed off that he mistimed the last red and so had to put in a shift over the Christmas break; so he bought himself a holiday in early January instead. Captain? No captain stabs his own team through the heart and he should be relieved of the armband forthwith. In fact, I will script Allardyce's press conference for him:
"Nolan is a total James Hunt and is no longer the club captain. And I am now going to do the honourable thing myself and resign. I have fcuked up royally and have to accept responsibility instead of blaming player errors, missed chances, poor refereeing decisions and injuries. I built this squad and it is shit. End of. I apologise to the club's fans and wish them better luck with the next manager. I hear Neil Warnock is looking for a way back into football."
Relegation isn't just a possibility now, it is a probability. This squad is as bad as Grant's and is heading for the Premiership trap door. Can any manager save us? I honestly doubt it because the injuries, the red cards and the sense of resignation in the air have doomed written all over them.
And the game itself? Well it was dire. Fulham are shit which makes the defeat all the harder to take. In fact, it was all summed up by the winner, with Parker miscueing a shot straight to an unmarked Berbatov who simply tapped into an empty net. A Scotty Parker assist! That says it all!
Would the last man to leave Upton Park please switch off the lights?

I really wish everybody would stop wearing rose tinted specs and see what weve become under allardyce. We are going down, even before our injuries we were still playing shit, theres a reason allardyce has never taken at team down, he always gets sacked before he has the chance. Theres a reason teams go down once he leaves, because his teams can only play one way. The dinosaur is taking us down with his prehistoric tactics, and if you support whats happened to our club then you are as big a disgrace to the club as the current regime. Lyall and greenwood wouldve turned in the graves at the sight of whats we have become. Even previous managers like curbs and zola changed to 442 and both times it kept us up. Sometimes I just dont see what some people watch. Allardyce got his long ball tag for a reason... Because he plays long ball. As the saying goes, games arent won on paper. We haven't just lost our identity, weve lost our soul aswell. I for one would rather go down and play attractive football then watch this shit every week. I for one am done, and I will not be watching us play until the fat prick is gone.
I tend to err on the side of caution. Sacking a manager is always a gamble. There's no guarantee that the new incumbent will turn it around. Yeah, you can get a dead-cat-bounce - two of three good results 'inspired' by someone new at the helm before all the old problems re-emerge. In West Ham's case that's a list of injuries to key players. A new manager is not a remedy to a squad depleted through injury.
I think you've argued before, HF, that removing Sam has proved fatal for other clubs. Look at post-Allardyce Bolton, Blackburn and Newcastle. His teams are so indelibly stamped with his personality that anyone coming in to take over has to wrestle with his Sam's ugly legacy.
Also what would it cost the club financially to get rid of Allardyce? A small bloody fortune, no doubt.
I think we're stuck with him. He is a footballing dinosaur, but I suspect that he'll dodge extinction this time.
That said, if he'd had any dignity or integrity he'd resign. His conservatism is costing us dearly and we're going down. His team selection the last few weeks has been perverse. Even with the injury list we had the potential to but out 11 men that should've played a fragile Fulham off the park. I'd love to have seen Maiga and Cole start up front. Jarvis and Downing wide. Diame and Noble in the centre. The selection in defence presented some serious problems given the injuries but we could have outscored that Fulham team had Allardyce the nous to attack weak opponents.
Alas, I think he's a stubborn, one-trick pony.
The scoreline certainly flattered us and could have been a cricket score as you say. Another strong argument in favour of Warnock is the fact that if the inevitable does happen and we end up playing Championship football next season then no one is better qualified to get us promoted at the first attempt. Over the years Warnock has demonstrated that when backed financially (important point) he has the ability to get virtually any team promoted from that division.
It is easy to harp on about the "West Ham Way" or passing football etc but in reality where has that ever got us? It is also clear that some Hammers still blame Warnock for his role in the whole Tevez affair. However I assure you this is no time for sentiment. This is 2014 not 2004 and I honestly fear that if we don't come straight back up then we might never get back into the Premiership again and potentially go out of business altogether (similar to what is happening at Bolton currently).
Does it hurt to know Parker played well and had a hand in the goal? Uve mocked him for so long yet he is exactly what you need in midfield and is better than any u have AND has mire England caps than any of ur midfield will ever get in the future!
Totally agree with all this HF. Is it possible that Nolan is being paid to be sent off? I cannot see any other reason for it.
I was hopeful for a result before this game, and at 1-0, for about 5minutes could see us pressing for a second.
Now I see that relegation is a probability as you rightly say.
This is Zola, Roeder and Grant all over again. A recurring nightmare of mismanagement and missed opportunities.
JC
qpr won there must win game your words mug how did your relegation six pointer go one things for sure if we dont go up this season we will definitely be playing you next year wankers because your fucked
Very well put HF. Expresses my feelings totally. I would even add that even if I knew that somehow Sam manages by some miracle to save West Ham from relegation. I would still want him to pack up and go. This guy has totally pissed on everything the "West Ham way" stood for. Enough! I can't honestly support a team as pathetic and uncreative as a Big Sam team.
Unfortunately, our owners have already publically announced their full commitment to stay with Big Sam until the end of the Season. So the similarity with the Avram Grant debacle is bigger. So, would be the result at the end of the year, I am afraid...
Oh dear,Titwank United are 2nd bottom, the rope is round their necks and the trapdoor is poised. Also didn't Scott Parker have a good game? Was ross noble playing? One wouldn't have thought so. Anyway,i shall be visiting this blog regularly towards the end of the season to laugh at your crying and whining. Happy days.
Loyal fan then!
Run ur prediction by me again spam dangler, didn't u say earlier on in the season that u expected to Finnish higher than last season, meaning firmly in the top ten! Well it's not looking gud I am afraid, and it serves u right, all the shite uve spouted about LEEDS over the last year or so, and wouldn't it be funny if Warnock ended up as ur manager! Ha ha ha ha

Little boys goes into sports shop and starts looking at footballs, then asks shopkeeper if he can have one.
Shopkeeper says no
Next day little boys back asking same question, this goes on for five days, every day gets the same answer, so little boy says, i bet I can name any football with a name on it just by listening to the ball
Shopkeeper says ok if you can name 3 you can have one, so he gets the first ball down and hides the name, little boy puts it to his ears and says easy, I can hear gun shot, it's Arsenal, ok try this one says the shopkeeper, simple says little boy, it's Norwich I can hear canaries , ok if you get this you can have any ball you want, so he gets an old ball, ah the easiest ever, it's West Ham United, how do you know that ask the shopkeeper, little boys says, I can hear it hissing and GOING DOWN, now give me that Sheffield United ball, ha ha ha you soft Suvern nob jockeys
You lot have become the laughing stock of the premiership, losing to Fulham who got stuffed 6-0 by the norveners Hull shity, why don't you try and sign Tevez again so you can cheat your way out
Looks like West Ham United's Sam Alladiccio Feel Shit Factor Sleeper Express to the Championship, League One, Oblivion and Beyond is gathering pace nicely ... cant wait to see all those empty seat in that brand new, tax payer bought stadium and leyton orient laughing at you all the way
Warnock would be an excellent manager for us in the short time, he was harshly done over by QP hahahaha and would put Sam's efforts to shame, plus he also has extensive knowledge of how to get money back when we go down
Fat Sam offering 6m for Ba!? Hmmmm!?
As many people have now commented the shrewdest bit of business we can do this transfer window is get shot of Allardyce and appoint Neil Warnock as manager. The man is a promotion specialist. We can't have another Avram Grant debacle where we wait until the end of the season before we decide who will be given the task of bringing us up the next year. The new manager should be given as much time as possible to rebuild. The time to act is NOW!!!!!
Ha ha ha quality, gud 1 mate
sack Mr Remotey off and venture out your front door.
