Joe Cole's Downward Spiral complete with move to Aston Villa

Well, it seems even 'Arry and QPR didn't want him and clubs on the other side of the Atlantic said, "You did us over with London Bridge when we thought we were buying Tower Bridge, so we aint buying the duff Cole, be it Carlton or Joe." So what was the former Boy Wonder to do when even Batman 'Arry and the Yanks of Gotham City didn't want him?

The downward spiral started with that switch to Chelsea of course. Then it was Liverpool and Lille, before Joe returned to his spiritual home and proved that he truly is washed up and past it. So what's a knackered old has-been supposed to do as he contemplates retirement?

Why, find a nice Villa to see out the rest of his days of course!

What a pointless, hateful comment, you need to get some positive vibes in your life.

Yeah going from a massive club like west ham who've won virtually errrrr.
.NOTHING to a club like villa who've won it all in their rich history. What a loser!!!!

Villa a downward step from west ham ? Yes we are a bit down trodden the last few seasons but still a step up from west ham and most of the league for that matter.

Villa fan here... fair comment! I just hope if we play him in his favoured position he'll find some enthusiasm again. He was brilliant!

Oh hum, that's sounding a tad harsh, seems you are rather miffed at losing Cole. If he's that bad I would have thought you would be glad he completed Villa switch, after all,Villa and West Ham are competing roughly on the same level. Personnaly, I'm a firm believer that a player always struggles when trying to turn the clock back and return to old clubs. I think Lambert has a different role from that of the Dudley bloke Sam. I think it's a srewd bit of business by Villa and Cole could turn out to be a bargain free and that's more to the point of your irritation.

Thankful for small mercies, at least this blog doesn't come up on News Now anymore.

Villa Peeps - the guy who writes this blog (he resides in Bulgaria, which should tell you all you need to know) seems to think being sarcastic is witty - as we all know that isn't the case. Signed a real West Ham fan.
