Arsenal show that Celtic and SPL are second rate.
I know the goals were freakish but the onus was on Celtic to outplay Arsenal tonight and, to be frank, they were never at the races. That's no surprise to me because I have stated on here that West Ham would be title contenders in Scotland but our tartan friends have disputed that. Well. after tonight, I think Burnley would be "up there" if playing in the SPL.
Just look at the Celtic team! Samaras? Really? I remember him at Man City. Crap as a description would do a disservice to the word crap! As for the rest, who are they?
Watching the game, I was reminded of an FA Cup tie between a Premiership team and a side in the third tier of English football. Lots of passion and effort from the Hoops but not a lot else. You just knew that, one way or another, Arsenal would run out comfortable winners. Caldwell's intervention just added a Keystone Kops dimension to affairs.
Celtic and Rangers in the Prem? Hull City would say "Bring them on" as there would only be one relegation place up for grabs then! Stick to your stonners lads, you are not in the same league as us - for a VERY GOOD REASON!
Errr no!
ReplyDeleteAll the Scottish teams and the Scottish players have shown that the SPL is second rate!
All Arsenal did was cement it :)
I beg to differ, when was the last time West Ham got to a European Final? The difference in money is the difference between the Scottish and English League. And if you are that confident we, i.e. Rangers and Celtic are that bad why are so many English teams so set against us coming down there?
ReplyDeleteYou are a special kind of clown. Quite pathetic.
ReplyDeleteIf any 2 teams meet and one team has 10 times the buying power, then they are expected to win - no shame in that.
ReplyDeleteThe so called great arsenal though had to rely on an OG and wicked deflection to win? Not a decent goal from them?
If they beat a sixth placed Premiership club 6-1, and only beat Celtic 2-0, then I would say Celtic would do well in the poor English league.
Remind me...when was the last time Arsenal won any silverware? So long ago, i cannot recall. Wait till you meet a team with the same buying power then you can crow...how did you do against Man Utd in the semis of the UEFA? Humped? Its gonna happen again, so keep your powder dry you big mouthed ignoramous.
Arseholes 0-3 Celtic FC
Damian, we don'tr want you down here because:
ReplyDeleteA) Scottish teams will lower the standard of the EPL.
B) Your fans are animals! Need I even mention Rangers Vs ManU???
Hmmmm
What a petty, narrow minded and xenophobic blog post this is mate. Second rate SPL? Now why would that be? Would it be because Celtic get £2million from TV money and Arsenal get, er, £60million. Scotland's population is five million, England's 50million. It's economics mate, not rocket science. But fair play wot the Arse for showing up the jocks with their proud English identity. Van Persie, Song, Clichy, Almunia, Arshavin. All proud Londoners to a man. Celtic were winning European Cups with eleven Glaswegians while Arsenal were doing much what they are today. Winning nothing. When Arsene's European League brings a level financial field let's talk again.
ReplyDeleteIt was the Champions League actually but I forgive your confusion with the UEFA which you are now about to qualify for by double default (Europa now by the way). But I don't support Arsenal anyway. The title of the blog is a clue!
ReplyDeleteMatt, how would Rangers and Celtic lower the standards? Given the money the rest of EPL teams get and there followings both the Old Firm would become a force, that is what you fear. How many EPL teams get 50-60 thousand fans week in week out? As for fans behaviour? Pretty rich coming from a supporter whose entire country got banned for hooliganism. The % of fans at Manchester let Scotland down yes, but so did Manchester for not being prepared.
ReplyDeleteHahahahah ARSENAL????? What you on about??? Who cares about Arsenal??? HAHAHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteLook at all teh sweaties rearing their ugly ginger heads and having a pop! lol
Hahahahahaha

McZaluska,
McFortune,
All Scots to a man! 8 Brits in the West Ham team on Saturday mate. No scots!
Despite your millions from TV rights, Arsenal humped you guys 2-0at Upton Park last year....without the help of og's or in off your backside. So logically that would make you lot 3rd rate. The difference is that Celtic would take a winning mentality to the BPL as well as the best support in the world. We don't yo-yo between divisions and measure our success by how many points we avoided relegation like you lot. Only an idiot would argue against Celtic being successful (yes, we know you will ! ) This time your not blowin bubbles mate, you're blowin bullshit !
ReplyDeletebigmac, I always have. I tried bubbles but Michael Jackson was so jealous! ; }
ReplyDeleteDamian, that is the most pathetic excuse I have ever heard! So Manchester let England down because it did pre-empt your anaimals coming downa and causing a riot becasue you lose! Hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteScvottish teams would lose EVERY week! DO you really think we want you lot trying to riot every week?
Face it, the Scottish Football League is inferior and boring!
And one of your clubs goes into administration every fortnight!
We don't need them down here and we don't want them!
Was looking on the West Ham site to fin out how successful your team is and to my surprise I find very little information. Have a go yourself and go look on Rangers website, one stat you will see is a world record breaking 52 League titles. But hey, keep deluding yourself that West Ham are a big team.
ReplyDeleteFace it, the ONLY people tha twant Scottish teams in the EPL are the SCOTTISH!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's only because the SPL is sooooo boring!
Tough! It will never happen!
But look on the bright side, you DO have Andy Murray! The famous racist Grand Slam winner! Hahahahahahaha
Matt, you really are sad, if you could back up your drivel with facts I'd argue with you, but it's pretty pointless. To think I know quite a few West Ham fans but their standards are considerably higher than yours.
ReplyDeleteHammersfan......I've seen some of your London women so I'm not surprised you had a go at bubbles....
ReplyDeleteYou looked at London women mate! They are lookers against the sorts in Essex!
ReplyDeleteYes Damian, I AM sad! :) BUT.... I live in London and I support a team in the EPL! Something you can only dream of!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd rather be sad than Scottish!
I can't believe you think Scottish women are better looing than London women!!! You sad little ginger sweatie!
Damien, have you seen how many titles the Spec Savers team have won playing in the Totally Blind League? when there is no competition, a lame duk can win a title. Look at our "Championship"! Mind you, Neil Warnock can't even win that!
ReplyDeleteeven the completely crap English teams can manage to force the Arsenal goalie to make a save. Celtic would be relegated twice in the first 3 years.
ReplyDeleteThe bottom line is that Celtic dont get the TV money to buy the big stars as is possible in England. But we can compete with the size of our fan base as best we can. If you added the big Tv money that Arsenal get then it would have been a different game. As for west ham who are you to slag of anyone? you get the good TV money and you have been mince for years. Get real ya numpty
ReplyDeleteGot to love it when the makeweight haddy teams of England attempt to bask in the glory of one of their big teams. England have 4 teams that anyone gives a monkeys about, nobody in the world knows or cares about the also-ran cannon fodder. Gloat all you want but West Ham are a diddy wee team that would be met with a resounding 'Qui?' if they crossed the channel. We were well beaten but it never came close to the hounding Everton took at the weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a load of tosh. I am a Gunner through and through and I thought Celtic were outstanding last night. They were a credit to their league and their fans. At least they had the guts to try and play football against Arsenal which is more than I can say for 80 % of the premier league and that goes for West Ham as well.
ReplyDeletePart of the problem, tactical naivety. That, of course, resulted in West Brom's relegation from the Prem. Still smarting from your inability to score against us at the Emirates last season?
ReplyDeleteI'm and Arsenal fan and this is a
ReplyDeletedisgustingly disrespectful blog towards SPL teams. Without a lucky deflection and a lucky og, the scoreline would be 0-0. If this had been the case, the squeaky bums at the Emirates next week would be audible. So how is a team 'second rate' if they can have that effect on one of the top 4 in the EPL.
The job isn't done yet and I'm still worried about this so called "second rate" team - because over the years I've seen my Arsenal shoot themselves in the foot too many times. Particularly at the last hurdle .... which is exactly how I see the 2nd leg.
Georgios Samaras:
ReplyDeleteman city - 5 goals in 55 appearances
Celtic - 5 goals in 16 games
Celtic - 15 goals in 31 games
Surely this alone shows the difference in quality between the PL and SPL.
And just a qoute from Aiden Mcgeady - "There's a gulf in class between Arsenal and Celtic". Kind've reflects our leagues doesn't it.
Well let's face it, Celtic and Rangers in the SPL is like Man Utd & Chel$ki permanently stuck in the fizzy pop, but just because jock football is so Micky Mouse and shit, it don't mean that Celtic & Rangers should join our league and disrupt everything, no effing way Jose!
