£100,000 a game for Van Nistelrooy? That's chicken feed!

The OS has revealed that Quashie has gone but does not explain the terms of his departure. We are told he was "released" but that, presumably, means we bought out his contract. Incredibly, Quashie has made just six appearances in four years at the club, making even Dyer look like a regular! Rumour has it that we paid him £20k a week, having forked out £1.5 million to buy him in the first place. If my sums are right, that means we have paid £5,560,000 for 6 appearances, or just under a million pounds a game, BEFORE any settlement to buy out his contract!

One million a game - for Nigel Quashie! And Turds claimed constructive dismissal! The game really has gone crazy!

Why do we never learn from the transfer disasters over the last few years. $100,000 a week for a 32yr old injury prone money merchant is exactly what need don't need! Have we not learned anything from the egghead days! I love west ham and I know you do to HF and I hate to be negative but we all know what will happen if we sign Ruudy boy. PS love the site, your views are spot on and sometimes the hard truth hurts! Good Stuff.

Erm, if we get rudd on a free he is exactly that - which makes 100,000 look very cheap - to buy a player for 5 million is the equivalent of 50 x 100,000 = 1 year for a player who has a wealth of experience in the PL and if he keeps us up it's worth over 50 million in TV rights alone - a bargain!

£5.2m for a year is cheap? God help us! if it is a three month loan, fair enough. His goals could keep us up but anything beyond that? No thanks!

More like the club was released.... from him.

...and I would love the horse man to come over, even on those wages because as Anon rightly said, he's on a free. BUT, Sullivan still should have not told the media about the 100k because it will cause problems(dressing room etc) in the future.

Did Sullivan strike anyone else as a bit thick? He called the fans (behind the goal in a stadium with a running track) "customers" (woops! He's made his intentions clear!) and referred to Eggert Magnusson as "Egbertsson" in the press conference.

Not sure he is thick Stani, but he is not your well educated type. Coming from the East End, at his age, he wouldn't be would he? Anyway Ruud is off to Hamburg apparently.
