Upson is off!

Upson is going. How do I know? Well check out this from Zola in response to rumours that Behrami might be sold:

"Behrami is absolutely non-transferable, not for any price, no-one has any idea what price we would value him at anyway."

Interesting or what? There has been far more speculation about Upson but no such categoric denial from Zola. Let's just try a little word substitution:

"Upson is absolutely non-transferable, not for any price, no-one has any idea what price we would value him at anyway."

Heard Zola say that when article after article has linked Upson with Tottenham or Unreal City? I haven't! Sometimes silence speaks a million words.

The response to the Behrami "swap" rumour was from Gianluca Nani and not Zola. No other club has publicly expressed an interest in Upson so there is nothing to respond to! The Twitcher at WHL has named Upson and James as two players he "does not need". Why respond at all you twitching crook (allegedly)?

you might have a point, even if the quotes on Behrami were actually attributed to Gianluca Nani...

upson is a big player for us. despite what the club say we do need to sell so if we let upson run down his cotract and go for nothing we still have to sell someone in the near future. if we can get 12 million + the 3 million we would save on wages because he is one of the highest earners. i would say that is a good deal, that is why you are right and if an offer comes in he will be off.

the other alternative is keep him, don't get the £15 million, sell parker and green just to finance the debts and watch upson walk away for free in a year.

if we have to sell i would say green is the one to go but he is on a lot lower wages and the fee would be modest and out of that we would need to buy a decent keeper to replace him making it all pointless in terms of money unless we sell someone else aswel. throw in faubert who i hear is on 60k a bloody week. if we can get 4-5 mill for him i would snap their hand off and i think we could get by with spector and behrami as cover

Four million for Faubert? In our dreams! We might get four quid!

Was it Nani? It was Zola in the article I read. Who makes these decisions? That's a big part of the problem I suspect. This should be Zola's call, not Nani's! Either way, the same interpretation holds!

Or maybe they both said it! Perhaps it was unclear on Duxburty's email who was supposed to say what!

Hey muppet, how's it going.

Yes, it was NANI that said this. Shows how much you know. All you do is read one article and thing that is the truth.

And in response to your comment on it should be Zola who "makes these decisions". Well, for a normal club yes. But for a club with a Technical Director.. NO.

Do you even know what football is? Are you even alive?

Hey Rick James, if I'm such a muppet, why do you keep coming back? Actually, yes I do rely on news from elsewhere but I do then add my commentary / slant. I think you will find that's how most blogs operate.

My point is that the way we do it is wrong if Nani is really making all these decisions. He doesn't pick and manage the team so where's the sense in him dictating the transfer policy. It didn't work at Tottenham and it isn't working at West Ham. Want the evidence? Jimenez, Kovac, Lopez, Savio, Di Michelle, Tristan, Da Costa...

Your last two questions simply evidence how childish and stupid you are!

Is Nani receiving a salary at West Ham? What does he do anyway? Sorry, I am digressing. Duxbury is probably receiving a huge salary and no-one (except HF) is asking what he is doing.

Upson HAS to stay! Although, the wise guys who thought it was good business to sell Collins will probably cash in on him as well.

What is going on with the sale of the Club anyway? It is already January and nothing seems to move. A new owner who makes available good money in the transfer window before it closes its probably our only chance of staying up. But surely, if we sell either of Upson or Parker, nothing can save us!

Be it Nani or Zola who buys these players both should be shot for some of the shit they have brought into the club.
For every diamond three turds have followed.I'm also STILL smarting over that Collins deal Grrrrrrrr

The problem comes from the way skysports have written the article:

"However, Nani claims there is no such plan in place, with Gianfranco Zola making it clear that Behrami remains an integral part of his plans at Upton Park."

Nani probably did say it, but they could have phrased it better.

Thanks for clearing that up Stani!
