Out Of Automatic Promotion Place But...

It was always probably hoping for too much for Doncaster to beat Reading, so the draw was the next big thing. It means that the amazing winning run of the Royals has come to an end and suggests that they may be vulnerable when the pressure mounts. They were great coming from behind but having hit the heady heights, maybe, just maybe, they will slide back again.

We now have a game in hand and are just one point behind with a better goal difference. There's some tricky games coming up but it really does look like it is two from three after Birmingham's defeat at Leicester.

We still have a stronger squad than Reading so if Allardyce can't finish above McDermott, that will speak volumes about his managerial incompetence. Two goals for Morrison today might just be the prod that the ultra conservative Allardyce needs. If he wants to play 4-3-3, he needs some flair in the team and the kid may be what we have been crying out for!

  1. This is just what Reading need to avoid complacency in the run in. Doncaster are on relatively good form of late and you can't win them all. We will bury you.

In your view not being able to finish above Reading will 'speak volumes for (Allardyce's) managerial incompetence'. By the same reasoning if we do go up above Reading please write a piece saying that actually he is more competent than you gave him credit for. I'll wait patiently for that one HF :)

Great results tonight- I agree we have a better squad than Reading and that it should be two from the top three. We need to be in that top two, cos we all know that teams pipped at the last for automatic promotion tend to blow the play-offs. We can see who's in that group immediately behind us. But I wouldn't be surprised to see a Leeds or even, if they can overcome inconsistency, Leicester come through and nick a play-off place and then the momentum will be with that team. We all remember Palace.

I know I can be mistaken for a blind loyalist but I still think we've got as good a chance as anyone of being top two. So COY-fecking-I!

Just posted then saw 'Reading Royal's' post. Bury us? Yeah that's possible. But it's funny how often a team's fans that have become as over arrogant as you so obviously have end up looking like mugs come the end of a season. So keep the arrogance up Berkshire boy- it'll work in our favour.

    Night, night.
