Congratulations to Birmingham & Leeds Fans

The response to two recent threads has been absolutely overwhelming. In the case of the "Miserable, Miserable Week for Birmingham" post I have been knocked sideways by the level headedness of Birmingham fans. Instead of recriminations, almost to a man, woman, and child, they seem happy with what has been achieved this season, recognising the huge problems that Hughton faced at the start of the season and accepting that promotion was at best a dream.

Contrast that attitude to our expectations. There are allegations that we are arrogant, that we have seen a return to the Prem as a God given right, and that presumption has caused genuine ill will towards us. From "Good Old West Ham", everybody's second team, we have become the obnoxiously arrogant cheating bastards of Tevez, Sullivan, Gold and Allardyce. Our character profile has undergone the sort of rewrite enjoyed by Ben Mitchell in Eastenders!

As I posted, I have until now held Birmingham in contempt but Hughton and their fans have persuaded me around to a new respect. Obviously I desperately hope that we are not in the Championship next season but I now have a further reason for hoping for promotion because without the rivalry provoked by sharing the same division, I will be able to cheer Hughton's boys to promotion next season.

And so to Leeds. One of the services that Blogspot offer is statistical analysis of site traffic and the most hit thread of all time was one based upon Ikea Joorabchian's claim that Leeds had signed a player on a Third Party agreement posted back in October 2011 (http://thegamesgonecrazy.blogspot.co.uk/2011/10/kia-joorabchian-says-leeds-signed.html). Well that record has now been broken, with the hit count for yesterday's thread on the possibility of Warnock's time at Leeds ending in tears at 12,071 already  (http://thegamesgonecrazy.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/leeds-and-warnock-heading-for-nasty.html.)

Now the quality of response from Leeds fans has not always been of the same calibre as those of the Birmingham fans - what do you expect given they are dirty Northern bastards? - but the sheer volume of hits is incredible. Give them their due, the tight fisted wife beating Yorkshiremen remain unbelievably loyal to a club who have been shit for so long.

    Have Your Say

I do not know how to convert this into a chat room but I would welcome contributions from others.

A few rules: no racism, no obscene language, and nothing that could see me or you in court!

There is no orthodoxy here. I may disagree absolutely with the point you are making but if you submit something worthy of posting, I will post it!

Cut the insults guys, make your point and invite debate!

It seems like you are slightly hypocrytical in your latest article as it includes insults, bad language and has no real point. Expect worse from some of my fellow Leeds fans (if you decide to print them of course)

  2. Same shit dirty Northern bastards you never seem to beat and please tell me why do you even bother being in the top flight? You win sweet FA and spend most of the time just being hangers on. I hope Blackpool stuff you in the play off final, but then again you've only to turn up haven't you? Arrogant Prat!

  3. 1301, I know, that's one of the reasons why we West Ham fans detest leeds - we can't beat you!

1229, it was tongue in cheek. Irony beyond you. Every time the wife thanks you for beating her about the head with a club, she doesn't mean in!

  4. it comes up on various news feeds & I like many Leeds fans will of been curious to its content thus raising the traffic to your Blog!

like what has been said before it seems to be a blog constructed by you to raise a bite from rival fans for your own personal enjoyment.

hope we play you again next season & Blackpool bring you back down to Earth and we will see whos bitter then wont we! :)

  5. I know why 1328, but it is a tribute to the sheer number of Leeds fans out there. This post is a genuine back handed compliment - you know, what you lot give your wives when you get back from the pub! ; }

  6. West Ham's 'Glory Years' of the 60s - Moore, Peters and Hurst. When every season they would finish mid-table or lower. And ship lots and lots of goals. Moore - God rest his soul - is best remembered as England's winning captain. But 'great' he was not. He played for a middling side who shipped goals for fun. Any player worth his salt would have been playing for the big clubs - Man U, Liverpool, Leeds. Fast-forward to the 70s and 80s when they spent their time yo-yo-ing between divisions, and the nineties and noughties when... they spent their time yo-yo-ing between divisions! They are THE most over-hyped club purely due to the geographical location of Fleet Street's hacks. How many seasons in Europe? About 6. How many title challenges? Er, none. West Ham are a myth.

  7. To be honest, I didn't see anything wrong with HF's first post regarding the divorce. I thought he made some good points. Then you insulted him so he posted a response.

You big-headed northern morons reminded me why I detest Leeds so so much. Apparently, you're a bigger club than West Ham. Prove it. You win nothing, you dream of a play-off final. Horrible racist bunch. Shit club. Shit Chairman. Even that wanker Warnock is slightly too good for you. Keep Tangerine Dreaming about Blackpool. Maybe you should come to the game, help Blackpool fill their allocation? Would love to see all your disappointed racist little faces at the end. Probably enjoy it more than I did the Cardiff lot. All this chat will be over Saturday then you can go back to MOT towards that coveted mid-table spot you enjoy so much. COYI!

  12. "Contrast that attitude to our expectations. There are allegations that we are arrogant, that we have seen a return to the Prem as a God given right"

You just described yourself HF. Don't bother with the old 'irony' stance - you slag off everything West Ham, you expect to win every game. Its you and your ilk that give us a bad name.

As for Birmingham fans - they are the pits. They are always targeting small groups, lone away fans and even elderly fans. They spit on the away fans from the upper tier during all home matches. They are cowards as demonstrated by their lack of numbers at tougher away games. They are vermin. Its not just West ham fans who have that opinion of them - check other sits via Google. Don't praise them in our name.

  14. One reason for an "overwhelming response" from Leeds fans my dear "barrow boy" ..... we are easily the biggest club in the Championship, more fans, more tradition, more history, more famous ..... We shall enjoy playing your little club again next year !

  15. Our character profile is being rewritten by ignorant shite such as the post you have just submitted.

This nonsense does our club no favours and, on this occasion, I agree with 13:37.

    Tit!

  19. Ha! Ha! You got some good bites there hammersfan, well done (touch me!) Good luck in the play offs...Blackpool is a much better away day for us anyway!

    A Leeds fan.

  20. Whats pathetic is you hate Leeds so much yet we feel absolutely no emotion for West Ham.....absolutely none at all. You dont even register, never have never will. With all due respect but your just not big enough to be hated - apart from by maybe a handful of clubs in London ('braggin rights' etc). You havent earned the right to be hated as you've never won anything.

Good luck in the play off final, I really mean that. I wont be watching though - not really interested who wins.

Wouldnt bother with the witty comeback either as I wont be around to read it. Only came cause it had Leeds in the title.

    Pathetic.

  23. As a blue nose 3 reasons why I dislike west ham
1, they play in a shitty claret & blue
2, sulivan & co, sold our club to CY & co
3 forever blowing bubbles, shite anthem,

  24. Thats a few of your recent articles written about Leeds, what's the matter your club not big enough to talk about... Cockney prick, can't wait till Blackpool stun you arrogant bastards in play off final, we will be in the same division next season, you'll see, southern twat!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well it's not though is it. You're more than welcome to highlight the contribution Leeds have stumped up regarding England Internationals over the last decade. Come on now, sober up.

  26. Dried pigs blood or Jellied eels. I know wot I'd rather be eating u dirty cockney c**t

  27. I love the fact you southern softies all think we beat our wives. I have never hit a woman in my life but having said that if I had a souther slapper for a wife you know the kind. The beryl look alike (on the busses) I think i would have to slap her a few times just to instill in her the fact it ain't normal even for an ugly southern bint to walk around with a mattress srapped to her back. Anyway back to the footy get real you shandy drinkers you never were anything and you will never be anything. if we (Leeds) spend the rst of eternity in the championship you will still never have the history or future to match our. Nuff said

  28. Ain't happening. You'll be getting shit upon from the top tier of English football next season. Best you can hope for is a cup clash. Dirty Northern scum. @ 01:20 - There's plenty going on at West Ham, try chipping into your Giro for a paper now and again. Now flash-forward to Leeds, biggest news in the last year... Fans protest against Ken Bates. Why? Because he tried to fit with the Leeds massive and act broke. Clayton & McCormack are already heading down the Max Gradel route. Wake up, you're a feeder club and a piss poor one at that.

To the blue nose just refer to 14:54. Your lot are hated, I mean REALLY hated by just about everyone so I'd get back under your rock. I'd swap Pompey's situation for yours in a heartbeat. I personally hope your new convicted Chairman ruins what's left so the majority of us never have to venture to Brum again.

  29. Can we please mind our language a little? A couple of F words have slipped through recently but I've just had to delete two comments where the word is used too prminently. No point in leaving a comment if I have to delete it. But to the idiot who did so, this thread CONGRATULATES rival fans, it doesn't criticise them!

i sit in Gil Merrick Upper and Blues fans don't spit on away fans at every game, do you visit us as an away fan every week?? think not!
i have never seen anyone spit but i admit i can't say it never happens and i don't condone it if it does.
all clubs have thugs who are low lifes e.g. Wolves who attacked an 60 plus yr old woman Notts County fan about two yrs ago.
i can only apologise if you or anyone you know have been assaulted.
i seen loads of clubs fans including yours over the years cause trouble at Blues and vice versa, but happily it is seldom these days. i would rather talk football with all fans especially from clubs like ours i.e. not glory hunters clubs.
