So how right have I been proved exactly? All season I have maintained that QPR would survive - just. In the early months of the season I warned the gRs that it would be a season of struggle and they mocked, claiming there was no way in a million years that a team backed by the billions of Mital and the ego of Fernandes could go down. Then, when they collectively despaired, I explained that Rangers would survive courtesy of the failings of others - and that's EXACTLY how it has worked out.
Mind you, it sounds very much as if Fernandes owes a large cheque to a certain Chris Foy whose perverse refereeing decisions robbed Bolton of the victory that would have seen them survive at QPR's expense. There's a lot of talk about goal line technology but that would simply scratch the surface. Today a team was relegated because of the incompetence of a referee and that can't be right. Surely once technology is accepted, all controversial goals should be referred to a fourth official.
What a great last day of the Prem it proved to be - with Bolton robbed, QPR surviving and Ferguson choking on his red wine with that last gasp Man City winner. Only in England can this happen season after season - which is why, for all its technical flaws, the English game remains the most exciting in the world.
Anyway, congratulations to QPR and to Mark Hughes. Let's hope we will meet each other next season and that Barton will still be a Hoop and not in Claret and Blue!
The match reports I've seen say nothing of controversial calls. Hats off to QPR. The wins they conjured up in these last few weeks have been thrilling, and for those they deserve their top flight status.
ReplyDeleteNow I really hope we go up on Saturday.
I hate playing Bolton.
Never mind. Saw interview with Coyle.
ReplyDeleteBolton were robed a bit like rangers were with a certain Clint hill goal that was 2 foot over the line what comes around goes around son fair play to you though you were spot on most of the season even if it was painful to read for us good luck to westham in the playoffs hf mate and I think you will see a totally different rangers next year no relegation battle for us next year me thinks come on u rrrsssssssss
ReplyDeleteI have heard many times Man. Utd people say that their worst memory was that match against West Ham which lost them the League and handed it to Blackburn. Finally, they will have something that surpasses that by far from now on. Having the title in their hands 3-4 minutes before the end and then watch Manchester City score twice and steal it is surely as bad as it gets for Fergie and Co. Personally, I am glad. City was the better team and played the better football all season long.
ReplyDeleteAs far as your predictions re: QPR are concerned you should perhaps apologise to all the QPR fans for never losing a chance to to intimidate them. I don't expect that you will do that or that you will admit you were wrong however. It is not in your nature.
ha ha. look at that first paragraph,,desperately trying to get in there first before we all mock the sad little virgin.. talking about bolton being hard done by knowing we will bring up the goal that never was...i hope you are crying, and hope that your shitty team loose the play offs so we can come back and make you cry some more... you were wrong just admit it.. i wish tony f would come round the house you live in with your mummy, and make you kiss his big hairey nut sack..tea bag you til you say 'sorry tony for bad mouthing you,i just wished you had bought west ham but i am to jealous to admit it'.. you have been left to look a complete twat havnt you..
ReplyDeleteFrom one very fucking relieved rangers fan we have done our job hopefully you will do yours hammers and we will see each other in the prem next year as for hf hope you have enjoyed pissing us all of at every given moment still look forward to your posts now I may need help all the best fellas come on u rrrsssssssssss
ReplyDeleteBolton were robbed did you watch the match they are the most lucky bastards going how the fuck they got 2 goals at stoke or the west brom game they deserve to go down good luck qpr
ReplyDeletehf...did you watch this game?
ReplyDeletehf...did you watch the Bolton game..I would have thought you would be on Manc vs qpr
ReplyDeleteYou were convinced we were going down. We on the other hand, always believed that we'd stay up.
ReplyDeleteOnwards and upwards we go!!
Bolton got what they deserved, a spot in the championship. If Hill's goal was allowed, we would have been safe by the time we played City. Plenty of decisions went against us this season, Derry's red card, Villa being awarded a late penalty & a lot of points dropped, Newcastle at home should have been a 3 pointer, Norwich & Wolves at home too. Well done to City, United left with nothing, they are the weakest link, goodbye.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy we had the last laugh against your vindictive persecution of our lovely club you complete tosser.
ReplyDeleteHope you lose at the weekend.
Oh dear oh dear. Haven't been here for some time and you are still trolling away about QPR, and still ignorant of basic football facts,
ReplyDeleteBolton were not relegated because of one game. They were relegated because over the course of the season, they weren't good enough, despite the motivation surge following the Muamba saga. Not even the disallowed goal helped them in the end. And by the way, contrary to your confused ramblings about technology, that too was a refereeing / officials decision, exactly as the Foy one was. After that game, you predicted QPR's demise.
You were wrong, as per usual.
I hope tosser is not considered too rude? If so, feel free to substitute it for the word kunt.
