So Leeds have SOLD an exciting youngster to Huddersfield and are now signing on a free a lag who is 30 in September - anybody would think the club was on its uppers rather than within touching distance of billions of pounds of oil money.
Look at it from Varney's point of view. If you were him, why would you sign for Leeds if you expect a host of multi million pound signings to follow? Move from the South Coast to Yorkshire to sit and rot in the reserves? No thanks! And why would you agree a salary package ahead of the oil coffers being opened? I know he is a bit of a turkey but would he really vote for Christmas like that?
It's all very odd and, all joking apart, something doesn't add up. Clayton was transfer listed because of his wage demands, not because he is crap; Varney is being signed because he is cheap, not because he is brilliant. And Leeds expect to be billyonaires in a few weeks? Leave the Rolls in the garage love, I'm catching the bus!
another day, same crap!
ReplyDeleteyou are such a pessimist it was not so long back your club was in dire straights, it was only parachute money that helped you out of the mire all be it by the playoffs. shame you was not good enough to win automatic promotion, the way things are going west ham and leeds will pass Leeds going up and West Ham going back down.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I continue to be amazed by your obsession with Leeds, I am with you 100% on this one. However, I think it's less "On the buses" and much more "Carry on follow that camel"
ReplyDeleteCORAL make West Ham's Sam Allardyce 10-3 favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave his position this season.
ReplyDeleteThe Hammers boss led them to promotion from the Championship but is expected to come under pressure relatively quickly in the top flight.
Go have a few quid on that kidda you might make some money and get out more and stop being a hermit.
your blogs about leeds united are quite humorous you obviously no nothings about us you sit on newsnow reading our stories and create little jokes and sarcastic stories up if you actually followed leeds like you claim to you would no that clayton is not that much a prospect he's not exactly jack wilshire, theo walcott level of player is he your only acting shocked because he scored against the spammers that doesn't make him a top player obviously you seem to think your jesus if you score against the mighty west spam
ReplyDeleteWe're dirty leeds and we're filthy rich,WE'RE DIRTY LEEDS AND WE'RE FILTHY RICH !!!
ReplyDeleteYour talkimg some sense at last. It beggers belief! Oil money or not Clayton is the kind of player you build your team around. If a takeover deal is imminent, then maybe any signings, sales or contract agreements should take place when we know what we have in the coffers!
ReplyDeleteSorry to disagree but Clayton was found wanting especially after we sold Howson. Game is all about opinions so respect from a Leeds fan since 77.
Deletethat's spot on! we let clayton go for 500k!
ReplyDeleteAs apose to the mighty vaz te and maynard ?? Barnsley and bristol city rejects Pmsl and west ham are in prem ...eeer....I suggest u look at urchin own team instead of fantisizing about ours
ReplyDeleteDon't wanna post that one little boy?? Truth hurt?? Good luck with ur fresh new young goalkeeper and the extraordinary barnsley and bristol megastars in the prem...u could break a new record!! Think it was derby to get fewest points ever in prem campaign but the mighty hammers look good to smash that record :)
ReplyDeletejust adds a bit of dimention in squad we lacked pace up front did colin spend big at qpr to get them up derry and co did the job
ReplyDeleteWe're dirty leeds and we're filthy rich,WE'RE DIRTY LEEDS AND WE'RE FILTHY RICH !! No curl up n die loser
ReplyDeleteWe'll see next season if he still writes blogs about Leeds, when we're up in the Premiership and West Ham are back down here!!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting sick of reading about Leeds on your blog. I don't like to have a bad opinion of any of my fellow West Ham fans, but the more I read of your blog the more I am of the opinion that you are a *king moron.
ReplyDeleteEven your own lot hate you toss-pot!
DeleteWet spammer's doing exactly that. Spamming. Your nowt but a clown, chatting ur bull. When the takeover is finally over we still wont need to spend big to gain promotion. Are you millwank in discuise?
ReplyDeleteYou are a knobhead! Get yourself a club to follow! But not Leeds United you toffee hammer PRICK!!!!
ReplyDeleteSHIEK ABDULRAHMAN LEAD CONSORTIUM WILL TAKE OVER ON THE 12 th OF JULY...BAHRAIN ...MINTED...READ IT AND WEEP COCKNEY MAGGOTS.
ReplyDeletehaha Leeds fans all getting excited because the Arabs are coming to town were gonna be bigger than man city they cry behave u northern twats the only place ur going is back down again!! Northern pikeys Leeds are finished nobody likes u!!!!!!!!!
DeleteAn exciting youngster!!!!!!! My arse.Went missing from January onwards and was found out when Johnny Howson who did all the running, was sold. Just ask yourself why we finished 14th oh and he has gone to Huddersfield so hardly a step up. Back with SG who money or not turned out to be a shite manager. Deffo no Bates apologist but have to say Graysons loan signings were abysmal he couldn't organise a back four and Iam not even going to mention Rachubka. Paul Green is a better option and we will be a better team next season. Love the pic at top of the blog by the way only one question..how the fu*k did Jack get so much fanny? He was no oil painting
ReplyDeleteI think the actor who played him wrote it.
DeleteGot to hand it to him.
You clearly have no life if you spend your days posting blogs about a club you dislike.
ReplyDeleteHe flucking loves LEEDS
DeleteVarney has played the last 4 seasons on the wing so his goal record not that bad if you look at the facts. Hes been an impact from the bench a player with pace and power who creates space, goals and scores like in prem. I imagine him playing the same role tommy smith played for qpr when they got promoted, he a similar type player to. Dont forget hammerfan there is the fair play rules to consider now, we will only have 6m and profits (5m appprox) to spend on players. Unless we rename the stadium like leister or city, dnt worry there we spend big bucks in the prem next year WE ARE LEEDS M.O.T
ReplyDeleteYour arguement has substance i must say and i just hope the take over is just around the corner warnock cant do a lot with no funds in place from investers so for now has to sell who he believes is expendable. In warnock we trust
ReplyDeleteI'm a millwall fan come pick on us x
ReplyDeleteNolu not even dildo boy.
DeleteOh your back, thought you hadn't posted on Leeds for a while! An amusing post, but I hope your wrong
ReplyDeleteCome on Hammersfan, if you really knew anything about your chosen Championship side to support you would know that Clayton was not all that flash...we will save our oil money for the worthy players...Reg Varney will be a bit player...oh , and ewwwww I hate you Butler!
ReplyDeleteYou are clearly basing your opinion of Clayton on the one time u saw him when we played west ham (you probably watched it on sky). He did have a good game that day, but as other Leeds fans have already said he was none existent in the 2nd half of the season after Howson left. Warnock has a proven track record of getting promotion and it takes a certain type of player to be part of that. Leicester spent big last season and it got them no where, just because players are cheap it doesn't mean they can't be part of a promotion winning side. Plus our current squad is crap and we do need more strength in depth. Varney is a decent championship player, what's wrong with signing players like that if you want a promotion winning SQUAD?
ReplyDeleteSo you clearly didn't read the interview about Clayton wanting to sign for a club and manager who wanted him, did you? Really can't be arsed quoting it but I'm sure youll find it.
ReplyDeleteSome of your points can actually be spot on but most of the time you make yourself look so stupid (E.g Leeds raising there game to play the 'might of the Hammers' or west ham finding it easy to scrape out of the championship via the playoffs after investing the millions). Bit pathetic really.
Anonymous 9.40. My what a brave boy you are, slagging off Leeds like some bus shelter chav. Are you jealous that we could be taken over by Arabs? They wouldn't touch your pointless little club cos the edl and bnp who make up most of your support, would drive them out. As for that millwall fan,i never knew they had broadband down sewers. Well i never.
