Well there's a surprise, despite Watford's stuttering (or floundering) performance, GianFredo's not for turning. Why should he change? Zola knows best and defeats count for nothing - literally! What matters are principles, or rather, what matters is to accommodate GodfatherNani and his Pozzo paymasters.
Speaking after the game, Zola said:
"I am here to do a certain type of work and I am not going to change it because I lost one game. I might lose other games as well, but I won’t change it and I won’t move my principals that’s for sure."
And what "certain type of work" is that exactly? The principles count for nothing when it comes to the Academy being down graded as we have seen - so much for Zola's principles!
If we ignore the Capital One walkover, Zola has now been in charge for two competitive games at Vicarage Road and lost both 1-0; the guy's nothing if not consistent!
Oh dear. He's played two competitive games at Vicarage Road, yes, but he's won one lost one. At least do the correct research before publishing yet another entry of complete bollocks. And well done on ignoring the 3-2 win over Palace too, very convenient.
ReplyDeleteWorrying times for Watford supporters I think.
ReplyDeleteStill think we played some good stuff under Zola, when he first came in though. We were still playing a bit of the turds stuff so was getting the ball forward early but as soon as Zola stopped that, it went tits up. If Zola didnt insist on doing that I think he could play some really nice and effective stuff.
Leave the man alone HF. We have more important problems closer to home. I saw a video of the game on Saturday and I was depressed. We were very bad. The only reason we won is because, incredibly, Villa were even worse than we were!
ReplyDeleteHe's lost two games and you're ready to lynch him?
ReplyDeleteI liked Zola when he was in charge at West Ham. We played football. Would you rather play football and go down or the long ball and stay up?
Yes, football and staying up is the preferred way but without the players to achieve it then it's rarely possible.
The other loss was against Spurs in a friendly so no, not competitive.
ReplyDeleteAfter 1 loss you write crap like this...like all your other posts have been inaccurate...nothing if not consistent.
3 competative games and lost only one of them 1-0, get your facts right
ReplyDeleteYou really are a bit of a numpty aren't you.
Ummh... Zola won his first home game and his first away game. So 2 wins from 3 ( competitive games). Stick to your lump in down the middle footie with West Ham before getting to hung up with Zola
ReplyDeleteSorry, I forgot the win over League 2 opposition. I have now corrected: ignoring that, it is two 1-0 defeats, and I'm not counting the Spurs game! You Hornets have short memories!
ReplyDeleteNope, still wrong. Seriously, can't you just look this stuff up?
DeleteTwat, we've only played 2 league games. Dickhead.
ReplyDeleteOh mate! Hammersfan sounds like a teenage girl who has just been dumped by her boyfriend and is getting a bit stalker-like. Do you have some kind of bitter crush on Zola or something? Let it go mate, concentrate on your season. Whilst we Horns will happily wish you Hammers all the best for the coming season I don't think any of us really care that much about your ill informed, bitter and factually incorrect opinions. Move on, for your own sake.
ReplyDelete"it is two 1-0 defeats, and I'm not counting the Spurs game! You Hornets have short memories!"
ReplyDeleteThe guy who is an aspiring Blogger ("He") is referring to the Watford win against West Ham when Zola was in charge of West Ham back in 2008. Zola's FIRST game in charge... Yep. Clinging on to every little stat that he can. Shows what sort of fickle fan he is making any kind of judgement of a manager after 1 or 2 games.
He's an idiot... Needs to move on and concentrate on the team he actually 'supports' before worrying about anyone else... And by the way, you appear to "Like" QPR on Facebook. Riiiight...
Seriously?? Sort your facts out! If you're not counting the Spurs game we have only played 3 competitive games. A 1-0 win in the cup (albeit AET), a cracking 3-2 win at Palace and a pretty poor 1-0 defeat at home to Ipswich.
ReplyDelete1 defeat in 3 is not bad...and I remember plenty of Hammers fans getting on the back of Allardyce last season even when you were winning games!
How's about you leave Watford alone and worry about your own problems.
For your next article...
ReplyDeletePaddy throws a Paddy...
You are getting slow on the uptake!
a bit slow on your next Leeds blog
Who was the 2nd 1-0 defeat to? Please enlighten me as I thought I'd been at every game so far this season but apparently not. I do remember a 3-2 win on the opening day of the league season though.
ReplyDeleteHahaaa, just can't wait can you HF? At least let him lose a few games first
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I see what you've done there - you're counting when he was in the opposite dug-out aren't you. Very clever.
ReplyDeleteDear Hammersfan,
ReplyDeleteAre we to be subjected to your little round-up after every Watford match? Your observations really are quite amusing in the sense that you seem to harbour some sort of jealousy of what we are attempting here; the football you Ammers fans claim to be part of your fabric. Why else would you write about us weekly?
Please get over it/us/GZ and move on. I'm sure Big Sam's gorgeous tippy tappy is worthy of more of your oh-so-valuable column inches instead.
Love and regards,
- WFC fans everywhere x
Well done to those Watford fans who remembered that the club the others say they support beat Zola led West Ham 1-0 in the Carling Cup. I was at the game. Zola picked a bloody stupid team with Etherington on the right and fat arsed Lopez at left back. Lastpickever was in goal and gifted Watford the winner.
ReplyDeleteThose who have called me a twat for getting my facts wrong may like to apologise!
LOL mentioned Karma before and have a really strong feeling later on when Zola is sacked (if as he is a good yes man) that this thread/post will be brought back out again when Watford are relegated!!
ReplyDeleteAt least you've stopped posting odd pictures of children which is an improvement....
ReplyDeleteStill I am expecting it will be a tricky season for the 'East End Academy of football' so you'll have plenty there to worry about soon rather than your odd obsession with Watford.

Me me me me me me me
you are the Oracle
lol@18:28 I havent noticed pictures of children, but you seem to have. Something your not telling if you keep noticing that? Is that why you havent put your name down? And I love the fact the blogger gets accused of obsessions. How do they work cos you could say he has an obsession with the royal family, Watford, West Ham, Leeds and QPR. Alot of obsessions there!!!
ReplyDeleteAppyAmmer at 1334; check back the previous anti Watford posts.....before you make an even bigger idiot of yourself.
ReplyDeleteNice result today by the way.........see you soon. Bargain that Jarvis......see you've done it again without Zola to help you this time.
