With any luck there may be a deep seated injury that will not represent a problem to the player but which prevents us completing the deal. £10m + for a very average player is absolute madness in my book!
Congratulations to Wolves. If they get £25m for Jarvis and Fletcher, it was worth getting relegated!
I thought it was a printing error when I saw the price Sunderland were paying for Fletcher.
ReplyDeleteWell done to Wolves for getting 25 million for two average Prem players!!
6-7million paid by Man Utd for Hernandez
4.5 m paid by newcastle for Cabaye
Just two put that into more perspective
Why, It's not your money!
ReplyDeleteRather him than Taylor though. As you yourself have said many times Matty can't play LW in PL. Jarvis can and will prove he's worth every penny. You have been calling for the board to spend and the minute they do you criticise them. Make your mind up.
ReplyDeleteLeeds fan here. When we played Wolves the other day he was their best player by some distance. He must have known he was about to leave but put in a shift. Obviously has talent and should be good for the Hammers. £10million? Only time will tell but British players do carry a significant premium so maybe it's just market forces at play. Good luck to him and I hope the proper Hammers get behind him and don't condem him before he's kicked a ball for their team!

ReplyDeleteIt's just a question of ratio price/quality, or ROI (return on investment). I suspect the ratio is not going to be that high. Other options out there would have yielded a higher ratio. Now, as to the ROI, maybe it will pay off. I truly hope it does through assists, goals, and staying up.

ReplyDeleteDemel Tomkins Collins McCartney
Noble Diame Nolan
Vaz Te Cole Jarvis.
Doesn't look bad except for demel and McCartney. I heard Richardson wants out of Sunderland. For right back. We are just screwed.

QPR to sign Julio Caesar??? Maybe we should have taken Fernandes' money back two years ago. At least he is making moves for his club quickly. Robbie got what he wanted: same pay but less play!
ReplyDeleteUS HF
Does Jarvis know what awaits him?

hey fanno, could you please come back to the org and liven it up a little? We really miss you!
ReplyDelete10million .... Youve been mugged! ....
ReplyDeleteWolves fan here and what an awful blog this is - Jarvis for your information (as you seem to know little about football) attempted the most crosses in the top flight and had the highest cross completion rate of any player.
ReplyDeleteWhich is pretty remarkable given the fact he was playing in a side that finished bottom of the table.
He is a player with plenty of dribbling skills, pace and trickery and he delivers pin perfect crosses.
He can easily takes the ball and will keep hold of it and can take it from one end of the field to the other on his own and then produce a perfect cross.
We are extremely sad to see him go and you have yourself a great player.
Jarvis was totally amazing today - what a bargain.......!!!
ReplyDeletePs, I am taking the piss, just like Jarvis.....
Money well spent, judging by yesterday's performance - NOT!!!!
