Allardyce Plans Scuppered

Speaking after the 2-0 victory over Crewe Doctor Evil said:

"Of course, in one way, you have to be pleased with the win and with the performance some of our players put in. Young Potsie put in a good shift for a kid and you have to be pleased with a clean sheet, especially with two youngsters and a back five, counting Hendy, who have never played together before.

Up front, it was good to see Wine Gums get on the score sheet and for Norma to bag his first goal in British football. You have to be pleased when forwards score goals because that's what you pay them to do.

But ultimately we were a little disappointed by what happened out there. We expected a lot more from Crewe but they didn't really perform on the night. It means we are through to the next round which, in one way, you have to be pleased about, but in another is very frustrating. We haven't got a huge squad and we really don't need any more games than is absolutely necessary. The league is our priority and we have 36 cup finals left. 36 is enough for any team, we don't need the distraction of a thirty seventh.

Still, all is not lost, the draw may throw up sterner opposition in the next round, a team like Burton or MK Dons, then hopefully we can get back to what is truly important!"

  1. How after a 2-0 win can BFS still depress me? If he slumps in his seat on Saturday like he did in Swansea we should all shout, SIT UP OR SOD OFF!

  8. I've had enough of being reasonable
This horse-faced northern git is draining the life out of the team I have supported for more than 50 years.
Give me the Real West Ham back.

    DiCanio In
    Allardyce Out

  9. The question is, did he learn anything useful from the win? I listened to the game and the announcers commented that Maynard and Maiga played well together. Would Sam even consider such a "radical" formation? Even off the bench?

  10. Write more about LEEDS. These comments are boring. All 4 of them.

  11. Hammersfan, do you understand football? I mean really understand the game? You're obviously a bright lad (maybe that's your age) and definitely good for banter. You just don't seem qualified to write some of the articles here though. I mean, can you imagine Terry Venables coming up with this rubbish in one of those tongue in cheek articles he used to write for cant remember who? I think Jimwhu is right, you should just stick to winding us northern monkeys up. Its good fun! Reading articles like this though I'm really starting to get bored of this site.

  14. The Leeds fans know what this site is about....and continue to question their own sanity?....watch an episode of "BUG" on Sky Atlantic chaps, you'll get the "gist"

  15. Why aren't you writing your usual dross about Leeds United on here?

Have you actually realised they are more interesting than this wet spam crap that even your own supporters can't be bothered to read?

There's so much going on at Leeds at the moment, surely you can find something pathetic to knock or ridicule?

  16. HF what happened to your QPR posts? seems like they're putting a team together now? is that why you switched to Leeds? hoping that we'd forget the slagging you have Tony Fernandes?

I think it's hilarious you're now out in the Eastern Block - I suspect they'd appreciate your pessimistic simplistic 1980's outlook on life there.

  17. HF, put a bet on Berbatov scoring his debut goal against us on Saturday will you. I'll give you your money back if it doesnt happen! :D

And looking at the signings Swansea and QPR are making...looks like we're deep in the brown stuff.

Didnt I tell you Fernandes was a goer? Looks like he's putting his money where his mouth is now.

  18. What do we want? DI CANIO!

When do we want it? LAST F***ING YEAR!

  19. Oi Fanny. Swindon secured the League Two title last season, in Di Canio's first year in charge, and have continued their brilliant form this term. Thought you predicted he wouldn't last more than 10 games? #youknownothingaboutnothing

  20. pay up Stani !

Team looked good first half, much more of a unit. There are still some average players, but Carroll ties up the defence of teams like Fulham freeing up others to score. He's also got a very good first touch

As for QPR's signings, how will they sustain their buys with average attendance of 15,000 or less ? They must have a fair bit of debt now ? But to be honest, I don't really care, about them in the slightest....
