Leeds Take Over - Warnock Spills Beans

So Warnock doesn't hold out any hope of a take over this week, next week or even next month for that matter. Leeds fans keep firing from the hip and posting on here that the take over will happen tomorrow but tomorrow is a moving feast, of course, and now Warnock has spilt the beans, explaining:

"I imagine we'll be having this conversation around Christmas time about the takeover and then probably March and by the end of the season it might be sorted."

Now presumably Master Bates is talking to Warnock and keeping him reasonably in the loop so this sounds like the strongest evidence so far that the deal is mordant. Of course, Big Gob may simply be voicing a sense of exasperation and Leeds could surprise us all by announcing the deal today, just before the big kick off. It's possible. But if that doesn't happen...

...there's always tomorrow!

  1. What is it with you and Leeds United .
If i was you i9 would be more worried about my own Club and the fact that West Ham will struggle big time in the prem.

  3. If you couldn't tell his comments were very firmly tongue in cheek you're not as sharp as you think you are buddy!

  4. I know you'd pick up on this, but it was said in jest if you listen properly. I've heard it might go through today. Bates has messed around with this deal and Warnock is clearly pissed off. Maybe it was a sly dig at Bates for disrupting his pre-season. You can delete this topic if it goes through today / tommorrow. I sure hope you write some blogs when you realise how much money we're going to have. I'd love to hear your views :)

  5. take over will happen one nano second after transfer window closes (not saying whether its this one, January or next summer note)just so as bates can fuck us over one more time meantime we are reduced to sewer signings instead of the marquee signinigs we were told to expect (see RVP is ruled out now he's dropped down the skill level to sign for the scum) Dirty Dirty Leeds, we love a bit of it ! ! !

  6. I count that as your 16th post this month involving Leeds either as a club or as a city. Not sure if this is a OCD kickback from the 'Tevez Affair' or what but I for one would rather read about my own club on a designated blog! Leeds have thier own blogs and I'm sure thier content is mainly about Leeds rather than a daily update on a random club in League 1!

  7. Still addicted to boosting your hits with fictional accounts of Leeds United news I see. It's a shame you have to rely on real football fans to compensate for the tepid passionless Wet Spam "fans".

  8. Can't wait for the season ahead!

Warnock's squad building and team management have been absolutely superb this summer. He's shown guile and experience with his wheeling and dealing, putting together a squad with a fighting chance (with little funds at his disposal).

I've been watching and reading interviews with him and the team, and the vibes coming out of the camp at the moment are really promising.

Along the way, he's also been very realistic and hasn't banked on the takeover happening - sensible!

He's obviously got a reputation for being outspoken, but he comes across really well in interviews. He's got a sense of humour, he's lively and engaging. That means a lot me and I think the fans will connect with him.

On a sidenote, I saw Allardyce's pre-match interview. GOD that guy is dull! I was hoping to link it, but it was served up through one of those 'Premier League News' ads and I can't find the source. You can see why fans turn on him sometimes anyhow..

I'm really happy where we're at right now and can't wait for the season ahead! Rain or shine, we've got some football matches to play and a fighting chance of winning some.

Being a Leeds supporter often feels like us vs. the world and this squad have really given me the impression that they too feel the unity and passion to take on 'everyone else' - THAT is what has been missing for years now.

Of course, it could all change, but right now, the takeover is of little significance to me and I'm looking forward to the season.

    ATTACK ATTACK!

  9. TGGC Club Orientation (Clubs blogged about on this 'blog' in August)

    Leeds 17
    West Ham 15
    Misc 7
    Watford 3
    Tottenham 2
    Arsenal 1
    Wolves 1

(Note: Within this, every single post was shit, apart from the one featuring the pic of Zambrotta's wife.)

    Conclusion:-

This blogger relies heavily on trolling supporters of other teams in order to gain hits (there are hardly any West Ham fans actually follow this blog and at least half of the comments from West Ham fans think that the author is a twat!)

    Nice work :-)

  12. Of course, he could have answered the journalist by telling him everything he knew about the takeover!?!?!?!? Oh, wait a minute, Neil Warnock isn't a complete fool. Unlike the author of this blog who would can't spot a savvy operator avoiding a question when he sees one.

  13. The deal will go through but it won't be till the transfer window closes, I've said it on here before but you don't take any notice. Bates is really trying to get up people's backs, he's been doing it for years and he's not gonna change now. When the transfer window closes the deal will be done, its his leaving prezzy, we wont be able to add to the team and we may struggle if we have injuries, he's a vindictive old man don't you know. I'll tell you this, if you persist in being a prat you wont get any hits, start being constructive and you might.

That's an awful lot of wet spam posts for a Leeds United Blog site?

  15. Jolly well done to the mighty whites for winning their first home game in the Championship, I say.
As a footnote, well done to to the Hammers who also managed to gain 3 points in the EPL.

  16. We've been bought by a bloke that bid £1.6 billion for Man U a while back. So what are you saying now Mr Wet Spam. Concentrate on your own club whilst we plot our path to the Champions League. Haha. Loser
