Leeds On A Charge Into Seventh Place

Leeds United fans are in seventh heaven tonight as the mighty Whites climbed to one place below the play off places. With Blackburn and Blackpool both losing, the epic victory over Barnsley, courtesy of a highly controversial penalty, was almost enough to see Leeds into the consolation places of the playoffs - almost but not quite.

Agonisingly for Leeds, newly promoted Yorkshire neighbours Huddersfield occupy sixth spot after a superb victory at St Andrews. The club that has lived in the shadow of Leeds for so many years, and who lost top scorer Jordan Rhodes in the last window to Blackburn, have somehow contrived to accumulate the same number of points as their famous neighbours and have a better goal difference.

Meanwhile, the top three slots are now occupied by Cardiff, Leicester and Wolves, all of whom picked up more impressive victories than Leeds today. It is rotten luck on Leeds that even when they fluke a victory, they still find themselves below the crucial play off line.

Still, Brighton won't finish in the top six and nor will Huddersfield. But Birmingham haven't got into their stride yet and will come with a charge, and Blackburn will also climb again once a manager is appointed. Blackpool will finish in the top six and Forest got a good victory today.

But never mind all that! Leeds beat the mighty Barnsley today by a penalty goal to nil. That's the same Barnsley that West Ham beat 4-0 on the sixth of April en route to a third place finish. The bars are buzzing in Leeds tonight, for these are heady days indeed. Seventh in the Championship! Let's celebrate!

HAHA - MOT!!

another feeble attempt to draw visitors to your blog!!

shame you cant get more WHU fans to visit it eh??

Even by your standards that was a pretty contrived effort at putiting a negative spin on the Leeds result.

Meanwhile West Ham came bumping back to earth at the hands of the much derided Arsenal.

And the world order is restored! Poor old HF, if only the football world would dance to his tune. Unfortunately for him, it seldome does.

Yawn. Leeds won today, heading in the right direction. West ham lost today heading in the wrong direction. I really cannot fathom what pathetic inner satisfaction You get from writing these articles.
Try stay up so we can put you in your place wen we play you next year.

I just find this very sad. Nothing better to do with your life i suspect. To spend time posting this provocative rubbish beggars belief. A very sad man indeed.

There's 90 seconds of my life I'll never get back...

For the sake of people who happen upon your blog by accident as I did (and, for that matter, your own). I implore you to please find something more productive to do with your life than 'report' on every shred of Leeds news in the same sarcastic, condescending, childish tone.

Repeatedly smashing your head into a wall for example.

Only 10 games gone. Don't get carried away yet. Leeds were rubbish today but you know what they say abut teams who play badly but still manage an undeserved win. They get promoted don't they? In the playoff final versus Blackpool? ;O)

Anonymous said...

So Birmingham gonna push up the league with a 5-0 defeat to barnsley but were not going anywhere with a 1-0 victory. Read what you write before you publish it so full of shit!

Anonymous said...

Haha this article shows just how much celebrating the mighty hammers have had to do... Nothing realy worth celebrating that I can remember. Anyway since West ham is apparently such a great club shouldn't you be celebrating... no definatelly not! So thats why your writing about so called average championship club Leeds united. Insult to your club that you seem to be more concerned and interested in us! And were all touched but do us all a favour and fuck off back to west ham!

So how did wet spam get on yesterday - no, don't tell me because I actually don't give a sh*te about them, because I support my OWN team, Leeds.

Actually I bet they lost, Arseneal are far, far superior....

LOL The comparisons are pathetic guys. We were playing Arsenal, you were playing Barnsley. Even QPR are 8 places above Leeds in the table!

Anamation porn now is it swamp dog? and with paedo overtones.

Hammersfan said...

Is it porn 0847? I wouldn't know. Do you have an extensive collection of cartoon pornography? You are in seventh, the pic is selected for that reason. But if it excites you for other reasons, I suggest you seek medical help.

Aye, cos your lot are either a poor Prem side or a good Championship side. That said... I would put Leeds as a decent Championship side considering the lack of depth we have. Not forgetting the recent performance against Everton.

Hammersfan said...

In the light of your comments, I have removed the image just in case. You will now have to look elsewhere for your thrills 0847.

Gutted... how dare you change that pic mid-wank! lol

Why thank you hammer!! Thing is i saw your first response to my Q?? Same twists and reverse psychology as the new response..

Hammersfan said...

No reverse psychology, it genuinely would not have occured to me. I thought Pokemon!

Maybe it didnt click home when you put pic up but it did have a sinister overtone to it when looked at in a different light..

Ha Ha Gayboy Tracey, the Upton Park Tranny. 1-3 to the Arsenal. Sad bumboy.

Anonymous said...

Sad little bore is upset because no West Ham fans read his pathetic blog.

I chuckle at all the Leeds fans taking the piss out of this mug. Real Hammer's fans think he's a proper twat too. He's never even been within 10 miles of the Boleyn. Wanker.

marching on together! thanks for the support hf! x

I've always quite liked West Ham, since they beat Man U in 1992 1-0, which i suppose helped us win the league that year ? Why are they so poorly supported though ? Based in one of the worlds' largest cities but never a 50,000 gate ? This and they plan to move into a 60,000 capacity ground.42,000 the best ever .WHY,WHY,WHY ? Is it because londoners regularly switch their affiliation to the bigger and better clubs,Arsenal,Spurs,Chelsea,Q.P.R and Fulham ?

Anonymous said...

I always have a read sometimes ya talk shit sometimes your right. Always amusing. Good reading material whilst taking a shit. If we get 3 points by playing bad I think we've got a great chance of promotion we need a little rub of the green. Mot

Anonymous said...

You beat the mighty qpr last week and you couldn't shut up about it remember? You devoted a post to the fact that you beat the premier leagues, cannon fodder and i remarked that it was as easy as drinking water. I haven't heard any of our lot crowing about beatin Barnsley. We were fortunate to get the 3 points and for once a dodgy decision goes in our favour. Now as far as w,ham are concerned it doesn't look good. Two v,poor full backs and noble is a decent championship player thats all. Caroll has been forced out by Liverpool and is filling in time until he moves, believe me it won't be a permanent move to w,ham. You're punching above your weight, you know it,we know it and Caroll knows it.

Allardyce by his own admission is better suited to Inter Milan,Manure and Real Madrid

He feels out of place at your shithole x

Hammersfan said...

1404, sorry but what kind of moron are you? The capacity is 34,500 so how the hell are we going to get gates of 50,000? Derrrr. That's why Sullivan and Gold want to move to the Olympic Stadium. Well and so they can sell our ground and pocket the dosh as well of course!

Anonymous said...

Isn't it a bizarre coincidence that just like the puppet Scott Tracy we're pulling the strings of the racist muppet scott tracey. The fact that you are so full of manure you should be working for International Fescue is another coincidence and a terrible pun,but you're a thick twat anyway so you wouldn't understand subtle stuff.

Put that in your bong and smoke it student wanker

Who has ever given a shite about your lot?

the last time I can remember anyone mentioning them was a Trevor Brooking header in year blob

Anonymous said...

You are the moron ! That is your current capacity, all seated or laid down. The biggest gate EVER in your history was 42,000.How does anyone expect 60k ? Not even in your title winning years.Oh,you have none.Even Millwall got 48k once. What is wrong with you ? You call for debate but respond like a child .

Have a good lick of that school bus window tomorrow !

What you Gunna do if your mum n dad move bk too Eastbourne , 48 year old , still sucking on ya mums saggy cockney nipple

Elf72 said...

Why do you need to say something like that?

Elf72 said...

Because the ground only holds 42k? And because we share this large city with so many other London clubs?

Anonymous said...

You should say Duh, rather than Derrr. Your's looks rather gay.

Let's do an update folks on Hammersfan's certainties for the top 6 spots. Blackpool, Forest, Blackburn all BELOW Leeds now!!!

Wow, Hammersfan could stop a train! Cardiff and Leicester fans must be quaking in their boots being the other two 'certainties' he named.

Bet they will come tumbling down the division shortly!

Keep talking them up H F !

Hammersfan said...

Keep the info banked. Check at the end of the season 1144!

2216 With regard to capacity, the record gate is 42,322 for a game against Spurs in 1970 and I was one of them. To get in, we started queueing three hours before kick off. The gate could have been doubled had there been the capacity. What you fail to understand in your typically moronic way is that we FILL our ground to capacity almost every game - including when we were in the Championship - but you don't! Our fans are die hard you see, yours are fickle glory hunters it seems.

Anton #LUFC said...

It's not as simple as die hard or glory hunting. Some fans simply can't afford it at the moment. Others are voting with their feet as it's the only way they can get Bates to sell up.

Anonymous said...

11:44 here H F. Sure I will wait to the end of the season, however I believe I will keep the regular updates coming as the people deserve to know how your audacious 'Top six certainties' declaration, made so early in the season,is going.

Could turn out you are indeed a forecasting expert, or maybe a complete twat for trying to guess so early the most even Championship in years.

Current form team, Leeds United.

Well come on, hurry up! We're all waiting for the Pamela Anderson blog to appear...Try the pic from that Movie she made called 'Barbed wire'..Looking at that will be far more interesting than the ensuing article that's for certain....
