Leeds v Watford: Gung Ho Versus Gok Wan!

So Old Big Gob has decided to throw caution to the wind and go on to the offensive. Stung by statistics which show that Leeds have had less shots than any other team in the division and less shots on target too, Warnock has decided to go for a style make over, swapping deep defence and break for deep defence and wallop the ball long.

It will be a case of "Charge!" when Watford arrive, although the thought of Reg Varney leading that charge in a number 12 bus is hardly likely to fill the Watford boys with fear. It may be less Gung Ho and more Gung Ho Ho Ho based on recent Leeds performances!

Zola, meanwhile, will be his usual Gok Wan self, putting style over substance. Indeed we could have a classic Route 1 versus Going Round in Circles encounter as the two mid table non entities meet in a clash of the Lilliputians. The game has nil nil written all over it!

But at least Warnock has woken up to the fact that it is now or never. Leeds have slipped to fifteenth and are now on level points with GianFredo's rag tag bunch of loanees. Anything less than three points from this one and Warnock will start to seriously fear for his job. There's even talk of throwing a Southend kid in at the deep end based on one sparkling performance for the Academy team. Desperate times call for desperate measures!

Wait for the whistle boys then over the top and CHARGE!!!!! And if at the end of the game Emperor Warnock still has no clothes, Gok Wan Zola can help him look good naked!

  5. Hey leon. What took you to Romania then? Was it a stag do gone wrong and you've been handcuffed naked to a lamp post waiting for Vlad the Impaler or are you visiting the in-laws?

  7. I am sure your childish ramblings are designed to produce some sort of twisted life affirming reaction......well I suppose whatever makes you happy.

I think the odd Watford fan who checks your comments finds you really oddly amusing. I mean the irony of a supporter of the one time self declared Academy of Football now reduced to watching Big Sam's bully boy tactics and still thinking they really are something superior really is too ironic to be real.

We will be seeing you in the same division, one way or the other, very soon......and you know it.

  11. The ironic thing is you take the mick out of our style of play, but West Ham struggle to complete three passes together an all.
But I suppose that's ok as you're in the premiership?

  12. As a Leeds fan and a Paddy I do find your blog mildly humorous. I suspect that you do have a soft spot for us and unfortunately that what hurts most - everyone use to hate us and now they are developing a soft spot for us. One day we will be back and hopefull Dirty Leeds will ring out around Premier Grounds again. Big Sam for England...

  15. 16.38. At least when he's writing about Leeds he's leaving the kids alone. Remember he's an apologist for j,savile? Saviles hundreds of crimes against children are outweighed by his work for charity according to hf/leon.
