Shameful and time to act!

Shame

So once again a bunch of morons have shamed our football club with sick and abusive chanting. Allardyce, to his deep shame, has claimed not to have heard it and so refused to condemn it; but I haven't heard it either - I am prepared to believe the reports however.

Allardyce should have condemned the chanting and those responsible, and the club must act to identify the culprits. That's surely easy enough. The tickets had to be bought through the club and were numbered. I saw sections of the West Ham crowd shown on TV in Romania. The club MUST now take responsibility for collecting the evidence and issuing LIFE BANS on any and all responsible.

And before anybody starts the bleat of, "Tottenham fans were calling us names", that is no excuse. Antisemitism has no place in our society and antisemites MUST NOT be allowed to attend West Ham games. In future, all match tickets sold should carry a warning - if anybody in this numbered seat engages in racist or foul abuse, then a life ban will be issued without any right of appeal. Only then will we rid the game of this disgusting scum.

  2. Totally agree mate. After all the progress our club has made over the last year or two, our fans go and let the club down. My daughter is getting to an age where Im going to want to start taking her to games, but how can I realistically think about putting her in an environment like that? I'm not surprised it happened though, hundreds of fans had been drinking for hours before the game, and although thats no excuse, it's only going to get ugly in situations like that. An earlier kickoff may have reduced the chances of this ugly behaviour?

  3. Of course they did the chanting - mocking Tottenham fans who got beaten up by Italian fascists. No doubt there is a section of EDL [Nazi-racist]-affiliated 'fans' around the club, that is 100% certain. It's not banter, it's provocative racism anti-semitism. These people are a disgrace - to London and England. Cro-magnon savages. A pity their citizenship can't be revoked and they be shipped off to some peasant country. SCUM!!! These WHU 'fans' are actually as bad as the lowest of Milwall. Press will have a field day on this, believe it.

  4. You should be equally outraged when someone is called a b**** c*** HF, rather than going to the ends of the earth and engaging in semantics and what not in an attempt to disprove that any racism had taken place. Really strange, HF

  5. I assume you are referring to Anton Ferdinand Stani. I stand by everything I said. I admit to calling Faubert a lazy FRENCH bastard. I did not mean all French people are lazy, I was identifying Faubert. Colour, nationality, is not racist in my view; if it is, how do you explain the Society of BLACK Lawyers? It has to work both ways! And for the record, Lawyer is a synonym for c**t in my book!

When fans hiss to simulate gas chambers and chant about Hitler and taunt Spurs fans because two of their fans were stabbed, then we are dealing with something both sinister and hideous. Maybe, just maybe, your response is governed by the prejudices you seem to hold against Jewish people.

  7. Pie and mash geezer - bet you live somewhere miles from Upton park....somewhere like Hornchurch or some one of those little EDL/UKIP ghettos, you illiterate lummox. The changes are a bit too much for ya, eh?
And as for Pie and mash - it looks like someone threw up onto a plate - fantastic plonker culture you display. And you're probably proud of it too!!!

  8. Do West Ham sub-monkey supporters realise that David Gold and Yossi Benayoun are Jewish?

  9. You're being deliberately stupid, HF. It is about context and what is implied.

And prejudices I hold against Jewish people? How did you come up with that one then? Ridiculous accusation, no doubt formed from your own prejudices.

  10. But arn't the jewish as a whole nation also rasist ?
just look at the way they treat their neibours in Palastine, im no rasist but im not suprised they are reviled by others.

  11. Yes it is all about context Stani. If you are raised in the East End by white working class parents, and you get in an argument on a football field and, in the heat of a derby game, you call somebody a "f**** black c***t", it is hugely different from going up to somebody in the street, with no provocation, and using those words. As I maintained throughout, the RACIST abuse for somebody with Terry's background, in the context we are talking about, would have featured the N word which he avoided.

The context last night was the stabbing of two Tottenham fans in midweek and the Final Solution. To draw any parallel between Terry losing his temper in the heat of the moment and orchestrated and deliberate racist chanting by a coordinated group of revolting racists is, with all due respect, very wide of the mark.

With regard to your own prejudices, they have surfaced on a number of occasions. Perhaps, this time, they are closer to the surface because of recent events in Israel.

0403, you may be surprised to learn that not all Jews are Israelis. You may also be surprised to learn that Israel did not exist at the time of the Final Solution. So, with respect, what is happening in Israel has NOTHING to do with the chanting last night. Had West Ham fans been campaigning to free Palestine, and done so in a non racist way, I would not be critical.

About time too, forget about Leeds, and let's have HF and Stani debates! HF you maybe right about Stani demonstrating previous prejudices, but I'm not sure why Stani would be reacting to recent events in Gaza! He rightly reacts to comments regarding his Muslim faith and beliefs, but I don't remember him wading into middle east politics.

  13. Quite right, HF. The club should strive to identify the culprits and ban them.

A fantastic start to the season, marred by racists idiots. It was hard enough being outclassed on the pitch yesterday, without a section of the supporters showing a lack of class in the stands.

  14. Agree completely with most of the comments here. I think the only deterrent would be to impose an immediate 15 point ban and feel that this is something that should be pushed at the FA.

Once again West Ham fans have shown themselves to be amongst the worst in the country. Absolutely despicable. You should all be ashamed and embarrassed every single one of you.

  15. Kin ell, The Wet Spam fan (at last) decides to post summin about er...Wet Spam other than Leeds. Well at least you iz consistent in so far as some of your fellow Wet Spammers also think you post shite.

  16. The club has behaved itself for the past couple of years so docking points is uncalled for and likely to be counterproductive at this stage. If the club fails to police itself after this incident then the FA should step in. The vast majority of West Ham fans are embarrassed and ashamed by racist chanting and would be very happy to see all perpetrators punished.

  18. So it's ok to call someone a b---- c--- hf? What a complete toe rag you are and it's good to see your regulars turn on you now aswell. I would hope someone from w,ham reads your comments but i somehow doubt that as not a lot of people DO read your opinions on w,ham. Do they? Scum.

  19. HF,
My word, your first paragraph at 05:04 is some of the most crap I have ever read. Are you serious?

The thing with you is you take a certain position on an issue early on and rigidly stick to it. Even when you realise you were wrong to take that position, you dig your stilettos in and stubbornly refuse to admit you were initially wrong. Everyone knows what Terry was doing, so the issue is not whether or not he was being racist, the issue is whether or not it was acceptable. You seem to think it is.

I will say it again and make it categorically clear as I have done so to you on many occasions, that I have nothing against Jewish people and have said nothing against them EVER. You are well out of order accusing me of such a thing and I really think it's about time you stop.

  20. TH,
I've been critical of Zionism in the past yet this has nothing to do with the Jewish faith and it would be insulting to Jewish people to mix the two. It is HF who cannot help but voice his prejudices against Muslims as he has been doing in the past and even in the two months I was away, when talking about the Leeds takeover. Is there any other football blogger who feels the need to comment on people's faiths when writing about football? You would have to ask why HF feels he does.

I have been to our games in the past and been racially abused by OUR OWN fans. I know how it feels to be discriminated against so why would I do so myself? I am absolutely against all forms of discrimination no matter who the victim is.

    ReplyDelete
  21. That would be like your position on Cook then Stani? And your position on Noble?

I quote: "Critics of Zionism consider it a colonialist or racist movement. Some scholars consider certain forms of opposition to Zionism to constitute Antisemitism."

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thes so-called 'fans' who come out with racist crap don't know the diffrence between Anti-semitism and anti-zionism, Stani. They are too ignorant for that distinction. They should get LIFETIME bans from the club and also criminal proceedings taken against them. Stamp out this ignorant behaviour NOW.

  23. The Muslim whose entire religion is predicated on imperialism and violent conquest complaining about other nationalist movements, get real hypocrite.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ah yes, 20.19, the WHU 'fan' spouting about 'Muslims' and their 'imperialism. You couldn't make up a more apposite example of racist, chauvinistic ignorance if you tried. And of course, this 'chap' left the borough a long time ago, moved out to
the essex hinterland, where it's just like the 'old days'. Good riddance!!

  25. They are two entirely different things HF.

Really 20:19? So which army went to Indonesia? Your ignorance is worrying.

18:51, 22:29, Thank God...I was beginning to lose hope
