We were robbed!

I didn't realise at the time, but Nolan's goal was perfectly legitimate - and it was beautifully taken. Superb ball in from Noble, who also played a wonderful pass out to Jarvis.

So much for erring on the side of the striker! Useless bloody officials!

  1. Couldn't agree with you more HF. I actually thought we played well against a team full of top internationals and it will set us up well for the challenges the next 5 or so fixtures will bring. JMan43

  2. Goal should have stood, but my gut tells me if it had the game would not have ended 1-0. Defending a lead for 85 minutes against them would have been a different, and I think harder proposition than keeping it 0-0. Maybe that's illogical, but its my story and Im sticking to it.

    Fantastic point.

  3. IM SO ENRAGED ABOUT IT!!!! Any points from Man City with our defense being so weak with or without or main players are more than welcome..but we could have been 5th place!!!! AHHHHH.... bloody stupid ref. Stevie Wonder would have done a better job!!! COYI

  4. You're right anout the striker getting the benefit of the doubt HF, if the ref has a "vested interest" in the rsult, but unfortunately we don't have any refs on our payrole.... I thought Wayward Webb was shocking yesterday and his giving free kicks against us in dangerous positions for very inoccuous challenges would normally have cost us. It was great to see Carlitos giving the Hammers sign at the start and 'missing' his chances like that. I think he really does have a soft spot for us! What's mot to love tho'! COYI

  6. Three times Noble lost the ball in his own half which could led to a man city goal. That boy is believing his own hype. Play the easy ball Noble you twat.

  7. So this is where the illiterates of the world unite? Hf is your leader and his friend the bogus headmaster is your teacher. Read your comments back and hang your heads in shame. Meanwhile the ref got it right with Nobles offside goal. You lot are a disgrace constantly blaming referees for your failings. After you've got a grip of the English language i suggest you attempt to get a grip of the laws of the game.

    1. It was Nolan's goal from a Noble free kick... Oh, and by the way, before trying your six-fingered hand at language and grammar corrections I'd make sure you read up (asuming you can read) about capitalising the letter "i" when writing in the first person. Waaaaaaay too much anger there fella....

  9. I agree Dave. Early goal would have signalled a rear guard action and would have provoked a much more positive response from Man City earlier. had they equalised, I fear the floodgates might have opened - but then again, if they had over committed...

Thing is, the officials got it wrong and we were denied a fabulous goal. Thank God Barry missed the sitter after his obvious hand ball went unpunished!
