After defeating Leicester, Zola's Watford on the shoulder of once mighty Leeds!

What a crap arse division this "Championship" is! Despite picking up just 3 points from the last 12, Warnock's mediocre Leeds are still only three points behind sixth placed Blackburn. Mind you, that still leaves them in twelfth place and five points behind little old Hull City - how the mighty have fallen!

I posted a couple of weeks back that whoever won this division would do so by default - and Leicester fans fell over themselves in their rush to tell me how they were taking the division by storm. Well back to back defeats have nailed that boast well and truly. Leicester were crap last season and are little better this. The only difference is that the quality teams and the half decent players outside of those teams are no longer in the division. But Leicester will still struggle to claim a promotion slot, mark my words!

Full credit to Zola's Watford, however. Leicester needed a result today but were not good enough to secure one. Watford are now up to 15th in the table! Much higher and the Hornets will suffer from altitude sickness!

Meanwhile, Forest and managerless Blackpool were both thumped 4-1 by no mark opposition. Palace are up to third and Miserablebrough are suddenly level on points at the top! Leeds, meanwhile, are eight points adrift of an automatic promotion place and have sunk still lower in the table. It's going to take divine intervention from Allah to avoid the play off lottery from here - if they can ever get into the top 6 that is!

  1. Is this really the best you can do! Poor article from a boring trophy dodger that has more interest in Leeds than his own awful tiny London club run by the porn pedallers

  8. Anything positive to say? Personally I love football and unless a team is bought by a Russian gangster/ oligarch, allowing them to buy success, the only way to improve is by developing a squad of perhaps imperfect players. So do you honestly think that teams that cannot cut it with the expensive elite are unworthy of support? I’d rather follow a team who grow and improve against the odds than follow the billionaires packed with big names. You seem so full of bile! Try to enjoy the game rather than getting your kicks from bitter diatribe. Just a thought!

  12. You seem increasingly to be labouring under the delusion that you're always right, Dr. Weevil. I'll put this down to an under-powered cerebrum and the hollow arrogance of youth, but combined with the paucity of flair and talent evident in your writing, it's not a recipe for a good blog. And hey presto, what you have here is - not a good blog.

    Yawn.

Didn't you feel the teensiest bit ashamed at all those jellied-eel types celebrating a backs-to-the-wall 0-0 draw against Citeh, as if you'd won the League? Humiliating, I call it.

  13. Christ, even on the highlights you can see that West Ham are still playing caveman tactics. Sling it in the box so those two lumps to wrestle defenders. That isn't gonna work all season, the Spanners are gonna be coming to a crap arse stadium near you next season!

  14. Omg, Watford win and HF actually mentions it ..... That's not like you at all, usually so quick to slate Zola & co from their Wet Spam days, have you actually taken note of my other posts and decided after all that you support the wrong team beginning with W ?

  18. First of all thank you for acknowleging that LU were once mighty, probably one of the best club teams in the world. This is a position that WHU have never had and never likely to have. Secondly I sense a fear that in your writings that you are concerned that the takeover of LU will ultimately project the ER outfit above WHU in league standings. What will you do then? will you continue to try and wind up LU supporters, or will you change allegence to say Nottingham Forest or Derby County or Wolves? Time to get your thinking cap on because it may come sooner than you think. By the way the cap cannot be that big as you have a small mind if your website is the extent of your thinking.

  19. Leeds Utd have been crap for years, third rate manager at a club run by one of the dodgiest chairman in the game. Championship is their natural level if you look back in history.

  20. West Ham were lucky to go up last season. Rubbish team, poor club and mindless fans. If you hadn't fluked the play-offs you'd have stayed in the Championship for another 10 years.

  21. i could not care less about west ham, never have and never will.just one of those teams that exists but never makes any real progress.watch leeds get back to the top over the next few years HF.you should be ashamed of your tinpot club!

  22. W,ham rode their luck yesterday against city but that luck is going to run out next sunday in Newcastle when the Toon stick it up them. (not in the way hf sticks it up headmaster you understand.

  23. Hull City aren't little, we were in the Premier League more recently than Leeds and if you look at the manager and the squad, they can do a lot this season they are a better club than Leeds, five points ahead for a reason, beating them 3-2 at Elland Road for a start. Focus on the division West Ham are in and not on the Championship, you clearly know little about it if you think Leeds are any good.

  24. They say it is better to have loved than to never to have loved at all !!! History has a way of repeating itself the glory days will come back to Leeds west ham have never had them !! Are you bitter that your not in the top four of clubs in london ? At best west ham will be an average prem club struggling to be a bigger london club than millwall good luck with your life supporting west ham a life of bitterness you never know west ham fans may find out your a Leeds fan and give you a kick in
