Leeds Fans Green With Envy As West Ham Close In On The Olympic Stadium
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. It seems Leeds fans are getting decidedly uppity about West Ham securing the Olympic Stadium at a cost to the club of just fifteen million pounds. Dear God, that's three million less than Leeds paid for Robbie Keane en route to bankruptcy or two and a bit Seth Johnsons if we are talking really silly money!
The esteemed Leeds blog "The Scratching Shed" goes off on one, moaning that the public purse was not opened to help Leeds repurchase Elland Road, whining "Who needs billionaire owners when you can have government handouts instead." Of course, it's a bit rich when northerners start complaining about government handouts because the good people down south have been subsidising the north for as long as anybody can remember.
The author admits, "I know this comes across as an incredibly bitter rant from a frustrated football supporter, and that’s mostly because it is" before complaining, "But sport is supposed to reward success. No disrespect to West Ham but the reason they don’t play in a world class stadium is because they’re not a world class team. That’s how it should be." What he forgets, of course, is that England only won the World Cup courtesy of Moore, Hurst and Peters. I reckon the nation has been in debt to West Ham ever since, and the Olympic Stadium is fair redress.
He then has the audacity to argue, "Like it or not, most of the teams who do play in world class stadiums – Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool – achieved success the right way. They didn’t get government hand-outs, nor did a multi-billionaire buy their success. They achieved success, reaped the rewards and built their stadiums with the proceeds. Forgive me for thinking that’s how football should work." But didn't Leeds try to buy success, bankrupting themselves in the process and cheating the taxpayer and other creditors out of money when signing off as one Leeds United and signing back on as another? And is selling your soul to Shaton a fair way of trying to secure a return to the Premiership?
Of course, Leeds fans, like those of Tottenham, are shitting themselves at the thought of West Ham joining the elite club at the top end of the Prem. First it was Chelsea gatecrashing the megabucks party, then Man City - and when the next genuinely stinking rich Arab or Russian comes along, which club are they going to fancy? A tin pot club up north with a glorious past or the team that plays its home games in The Olympic Stadium with a glorious future?
Scratching Shed? Leeds fans are coming out in hives as we speak!
You will always remain a tin pot unfashionable club with hooligan supporters.
ReplyDeletego rot like ya father
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to the East End ? No one is jealous
ReplyDeleteor interested.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
ReplyDeleteWondered how long it would take you to pop up and bite? Always the WANKER.
ReplyDeleteNever the wanked
Deletewest ham in the olympic stadium thats a joke 80,000 capacity might quarter fill it every match also a shite side watch ur backs you hammers the leeds men are on there way back where we belong in the premiership ......marchin on together leeds united forever
ReplyDeletewest ham in the olympic stadium thats a joke 80,000 capacity might quarter fill it every match also a shite side watch ur backs you hammers the leeds men are on there way back where we belong in the premiership ......marchin on together leeds united forever
ReplyDeleteTax payers money going on a shite team
ReplyDeleteGet your facts right, Dr. Weevil - it was about £11m for Keane, we spent £18m on Rio (and got £31m - don't think you had a sell-on clause).
ReplyDeleteFactual errors aside, it's the usual desperate stretch for wittiness, falling well short, again as usual.
Sh1tting ourselves? Maybe with laughter. West Who? Once again another non story where Leeds have been dragged in
ReplyDeleteFrom what I see most of your blogs include Leeds presumably because you don't have enough fans to read your non-blog from your own club.
You are on the same level as an internet troll, only making these reports to get a reaction from others.
whoops you should re-phrase that..
ReplyDelete"Leeds Fans Green With Envy As West Ham Close In On The Olympic Stadium"
to
West Ham blogger with no hits realises only way to get hits is to research any minor Leeds news and regurgitate it (with added insults)
Did you get a bit upset with a Leeds blogger having a go at your team?
Wow, I really love your well crafted end to the piece..."hives.....scratching"...hahaha brilliant.....
needless to say Mr Partridge, you had the last laugh
whats this hf youve gone back to leeds baiting lol
ReplyDeleteCock!!!
ReplyDeleteI cannot think of a club that deserves a great big white elephant more than the Hammers. I'm sur ethe atmosphere in a quarterfull distant from the pitch by a running track will be electric. if you are lucky you might get a trip to Elland Road before you yo-yo back to where you came from.
ReplyDeleteGreat Stadium, be like lumps of shit floating around a gold fish bowl
ReplyDeleteI thought you'd enjoy that one.
ReplyDeleteWas gonna send you the link!
West Ham effectively gaining 500m in public funding. Yeh fair.
ReplyDeleteSo what if you play in the olympic stadium..... You don't exactly have a crop of players with the quality that should be playing there home games in that great stadium. And how the 5th smallest club in london has got it over spurs an actual great attacking team that is going places much faster than your clubs shite hoof and run approach to football i will never understand. And anyway even though we haven't been in the prem for a decade and your team has yo yo'd up n down.... Who was the last one to make it into the champions leauge.... Win the english title, ah yes that would be leeds united . So why don't you stop writting these shit articles about a team that has nowt to do with you . See you in the prem next season fuckface.... Mighty whites are on the charge . M.O.T
ReplyDeleteYou are blatantly deluded if you think West Ham will become a top club simply because of the stadium. West Ham had their day in the sunshine, with their World Cup heroes, but you can only dine out on past success for so long. Many proper football fans barely give the national team more than a passing glance - their club is the be all and end all.
ReplyDeleteWest Ham are a nothing team, all history and no present and no future. Games at the Olympic Stadium will be laughable - a half-full stadium with no atmosphere and the fans far away and disconnected from the play. You can keep it.
boring Leeds story again...
ReplyDeleteYou cant even fill your stadium now so what makes you think your gonna fill the olympic stadium you prick!
ReplyDeleteSo now you're gloating about the more than likely aquisition of the olympic stadium, the same stadium you stated you were against west ham owning, the stadium you will never visit and stadium your team will never fill. Also statements England has been in debt to west ham for the world cup and Southerners have been subsidising the Northerners since as long as you can remember goes to show just wot a jumped up pius prick you are.
ReplyDeleteEnvious of west ham ....my arse!
Kevin in Manchester writes
ReplyDeleteNow steady on HF the South have not been subsidising the North: The wealth of the pasty southern money men was built on the sweat of the hard work of the northern working class; left to the South there would have been no industrial revolution. If there is one theme that runs right through English history it is that the south has freely plundered the north, and the other regions, to grow fat on the back of others labour - basic Marxism really. Agree with everythng else though!
you got lucky with Geography..that's it
ReplyDeleteNo great reflection on WH as a team
you won it by default and your friends in high places.ie. Trevor knobsucker
The same friends that saved your bacon over the Tevez affair...
any other club would have been dropped 3 divisions...not given money as a punishment...
look forward to seeing you rattle about in the stadium, pity it came second to a plant factory in the recent architectural awards...haha
The only medal ceremonies ever to be seen in the history of the stadium will be to Yorkshire Athletes!, maybe we can get Jess Ennis to nip down and show you what talent it...
Why cant you just enjoy doing well in the prem and a new stadium. What do you get out of having a go?
One of these days you will be in a bar...and you will be spouting off to your student chums, and you will get lynched by some Leeds fans
I hope they jump on your head
And just like Mr. Ben you appear. Saddly I find myself looking for your posts. You posted after Palace then the Foxes made two good predictions.
ReplyDeleteI dont think youve posted since. What do you think of our chances now of a top six finish? You got $eth right that was a wank buy lol. Lets see ive not been to football since I was following O'leary all over. Been in florida since 2003. If we get promoted might even move back home lol. Keep on posting !!!
If you think your tinpot club will be joining the elite clubs your either as thick as pig shit, deluded or both!? Stupid west clam twat!
ReplyDeleteScot MOT!
Ha ha ha. Muppet.
ReplyDeleteWell you obviously haven't done your financial homework; 15 mill upfront is correct, however your failing (in your usual characteristic way)to mention the yearly rent of currently 3.2 mill (fixed till 2017 then who knows?)business rates, cost of policing, cleaning and maintaining environmental standards around the park (not just the stadium),The fact you will never own the stadium its on a 99yr lease with no rental guarantee. So unless you gain a high premier ranking giving a sufficient gate and TV income you will end up unable to meet the high ongoing costs. Then consequently end up in liquidation.
ReplyDeleteTosser
ReplyDeleteWell done Tracy. Been spending your day reading Leeds United blogs again ?
ReplyDeletePoor deluded west spammer you will never not have you ever been an elite club
ReplyDeletePlanethammerhead
ReplyDelete"people down south have been subsidising the north for as long as anybody can remember"
cockneys with VERY short memories...Forgotten the recent banking crisis? The City of London or The North...who caused it???
Send the country bankrupt and then blame the north?
fack off guvnor
The world cup in 1966......you were not even born then so what do you know? Not a lot !!
ReplyDeleteIt is also a well known fact that the FA always side with southern teams.....otherwise how did you get away with little or no punishment in the Tevez affair?
If that had been LUFC we would have been demoted a division but no not a dear southern team of cheats.
Good luck to west ham if they get it...wont affect you tho as YOU DONT GO TO GAMES PLASTIC HAMMER.
ReplyDeletehahaha. Finally a decent article - and thats from a Leeds fan.
ReplyDeleteDont lie to yoursef your a spammer!
DeleteHow will playing in an athletics stadium make you an elite club ? So what's there to be fearful of, silly little bubble blower
ReplyDeleteYour madder than I thought if you haven't realised everyone will be complaining if you get Olympic Stadium for a pittance particularly the other London clubs.
ReplyDeleteHow about a 20 ft wall at Watford to keep the clog wearers out that should make you happy u numpty
I love the hammers and cockneys
ReplyDeletegood luck to you pal
good luck with your 80m debt
good luck with the cost of £150m to put seats in so you can actually SEE THE PITCH!
good luck with the feeling you are playing away every week!
Glory Glory west ham..haha
And your not bitter , and u dont rant , and you aint bitter and obsessed about leeds of course .....seen your rant on the leeds site .....tbh i cudnt give a shit about your boring club ;) there will b no atmospher in a half filled stadium pal so it will go hand in hand with your boring no mark club .....so please dont think wer all obsessed about your club , like u r with ours ...build a bridge .....and get over it u tit :)
ReplyDeleteOh my god!!! You have finally lost the the plot!!! Enjoy your giant empty stadium it will get even more away fans in to be racially abused! Thought you had been quiet after a few losses and then your little London team in the headlines for all the wrong reasons! And then have the nerve to accuse leeds fans! Make sure you take your binoculars so you can see the pitch over all that running track! And as for the world cup 66 statement I love how you lot think you won it alone!!! Cus ya not won owt else trophy dodgers!!! I forgot that the 3 west ham players won it on there own! Nowt to do with Banks, Charltons, Grieves and Ball and the rest of the crew! Wot a plank you
ReplyDeleteInteresting you pick out just three members of the England 1966 squad, simply because the were Hammers players. There were many other key players in that side, for example a certain Jack Charlton of Leeds Utd. It's a bit disrespectful to ignore them.... but not as disrespectful as claiming the South has subsidised the North for years. I think you will find that it was the in North that the industrial revolution, to which our country's global status is almost wholly attributable, was built, London merely 'handling the cash' like a bank teller. Anyway, good luck filling that stadium. Hope you don't mind the echoes.

ReplyDeleteFrom hammers number one fan...a man who has not contributed a penny towards his beloved team this season...a man whose team is so big he writes blogs on LEEDS...silly little boy arent you...p.s....beware of Boris Johnson ,and as karen brady says..there is a long way to go yet...so keep reading those news papers number one fan.
ReplyDeleteTin pot club up north thats managed to b champions of england a few times , played in europe and won every european troph apart from euro cup do to a dodgy ref .......and what have u ever won tit ? And all the major teams apart from arsenal are tin pit northern teams aswell i guess u southern thick numb skull ......u realy are a bitter twisted childish moron .
ReplyDeleteIt's not been a sell out for west ham every home game this season, so how do you expect to fill a new stadium.... That's right you don't have the fan base! And let's hope you don't get relagated again because checking the stats you defiantly wernt pulling in the punters in the championship!
ReplyDeleteRenting a ground..not or never will belong to you..
ReplyDeleteRenting a ground that will never belong to you.. it will feel so empty coz you have zero chance of filling it..hahaha keep blowing bubbles MOT
ReplyDeleteSounds to me you like to dish it out but cant take it Plastic....lets hope TSS starts a trend in the LEEDS forums of west ham baiting..be game over for you Man Boobs.
ReplyDeleteWill West ham have enough money to cover the extra finance that will be required to pay the excess Housing Benefit!? And also as we taxpayers are paying for it(again)do we get use of all the facilities???
ReplyDeleteI'm a Leeds fan and i wouldn't say i'm envious in any way.
ReplyDeleteI think once you get in there you will be rattling about so much that the atmosphere will be crap.
As for WHU becoming one of the 'elite' clubs at the top of the EPL....dream on, that's like me dreaming of promotion!
oh dear some one has upset our wet spam window licker pmsl .....boot on the other foot springs to mind ;)
ReplyDeleteCheck your medication pal, Tare
ReplyDeleteWhat an idiot you are! Darlo got a stadium they couldn't fill, and look where they are now. Don't you mind that your ground will not even be in your manner? A big stadium don't make a big club or make you a better team. When are you going to learn it takes 111 players to win a world cup, not the 3 you keep blathering on about. Did banks, big jack and bobby etc not help win the world cup? And for a man who claims leeds fans live in the past lol, you never shut up about 66. Why not mention west hams glorys? It would only take a second lol. You worry about your tin pot team, and let leeds fans focus on a real big club, like ours is. M.O.T WE ARE LEEDS
ReplyDelete1256 First bank to go down in Britain? Northern Rock. Second one Bradford and Bingley. Third one, Royal Bank of Scotland I think. Hmmm.
ReplyDelete1307, Grieves wasn't in the team. A certain Geoff Hurst was picked ahead of him and...oh yes scored three goals. Other goal? Martin Peters. Assists and captain? Bobby Moore. All made in West Ham!
1966 your claim to fame ? The last time you won something ? OR the last time you went to a game PLASTIC HAMMER ?
DeleteWe shud av just picked them four then eh ? Left the rest at home ......wot a fcuking tard u r ....never won the league though did they ? cock .
DeleteAnd never will hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha .
DeleteGrieves was injured for the final! He was one of the players that got us there in the first place!!! Trophy Dodger!!! U don't even go to your own games or contribute to your own club! Wot a waste of space u are!!!
DeleteOnwards and upwards for the irons! Ain't no stopping us now!
ReplyDeleteHow about a right hook you RACIST filth ?
DeleteDick ....u never fcuking started from what i remember ?
Deleteyou will never fill that stadium anyway . small team in the wrong league
ReplyDeleteWest Ham at the Olympic stadium is no more guaranteed success than Queens Park have in Scotland playing at Hampden Park you deluded tit.
ReplyDeleteI read that story too, and the responses including yours. But was really funny was the comments that followed yours, from West Ham fans. Many came through calling you a f*cking ass, oh dear, even your own hate you, that is of course if you are a West Ham fan....
ReplyDeleteI think you are more likely a Sheff Utd fan.
why would we care about you and your stadium, no matter what happens, you still have to play in cockney land behind countless other bigger clubs including Charlton, Orient, Wimbledon,
That aside it will create jobs for people, so it has to be good news.
Hopefully you will get a job soon rather than posting pointless shit on here about the mighty northern clubs.
Rented ground full of West spam wankers with all of there Rent boy friends! MOT
ReplyDeleteFor all those who said they will need binnoculars to see the game! They already use telescopes to see the ball now, even nasa have reported sightings of small round objects entering outa-space,via london!it took them a while ,but they traced them to a hammers game!oH AND ITS JIMMY GREAVES NOT GRIEVES!ALSO,where is the stock exchange based, where all share dealings for banks occur...?
ReplyDeleteYou must get bored living in that third world country supporting a team of nobodies and your main hobby is being deliberatly antagonistic as often as possible
ReplyDelete'Kick em when they're up, Kick em when they're down, kick em when they're in, Kick em all around'. I'm Hammersfan......
LOL Somebody is playing silly buggers because I didn't respond on the site.
ReplyDeleteI was copying the incorrect spelling used by 1307
You fcuking did u deluded twat and u no u did .
DeleteSpelling? Is that all you've got you tit!!! You can never engage in a debate that your obviously taking a kicking in and all you've got is spelling??? Total loser!!!!
DeleteIt wasn't the stock exchange that bankrupted the banks, the stock exchange responded to the bankruptcies.
ReplyDeleteStay away from the subject of football PLASTIC HAMMER because what you know you could write on the back of a stamp...
Deleteitll be funnier when leyton orient get the nod over you...TWICE!!!
ReplyDelete"West Ham joining the elite clubs" Dont make me laugh! It would take alot more than a new stadium to do that. Get yourself a binoculars, you will be that far away from the game, thats if you go to games!!!
ReplyDeleteMOT
first response from a Leeds fan on the Scratching shed site
ReplyDeleteGood luck to West Ham United, Proper club with proper supporters.
If it was in our City I would jump at the chance, they are lucky enough to be as they say "in the right place at the right time"
This article smaks of a jealous little boy, grow up and stop giving LUFC a bad name.
If we get promoted this season (and I think we will) and we get a sugar daddy that massively bankrolls us would that be fair?.....I certainly wouldn't complain.
why cant you be as honourable as this Leeds fan?
Next blog i recon we b about a man jailed for rape ......u guessed it ! He is a leeds fan so where all rapists now .
ReplyDeleteYeah I think HF never heard of the industrial revolution!
ReplyDeleteThink you will find the article says "for as long as any of us can remember". Can any of you remember the Industrial Revolution.
ReplyDeleteCan you remember 66??? Knob jockey!!! Keep ya nat down!!!
DeleteDesperate attempt to back track .......you truly are a pathetic little man .
ReplyDeleteSmart man...stir up a hornets nest...questions are now been raised now...it wont be long before answers are found...you will probably be better off in jail for your own safety...great job you dozy twat...lol.x
ReplyDeleteHa ha - what an idiot!
ReplyDeleteone leeds fan makes a post on his blog and you respond claiming we all are in envy on person does not account for every leeds fan in the country and we have more fans than ur club i live in wolverhampton and see people in leeds kits daily ive never even saw someone in a west ham kit except on tv and now its guna be harder trying to spot em in a 3/4 empty stadium
ReplyDelete1615, you are making yourself look foolish. Greaves was fit and available for the final, Hurst was selected ahead of him.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Jimmy was born in East Ham and went on to play for West Ham. Debut in a 5-1 victory over Man City at Maine Road.
So you are a lonely old man..with your knowledge of something that happened 50 years ago...makes you even more PATHETIC...and as for foolish...erm digest what people are saying...
DeleteBet ya had to look that up! Knob!
DeleteCock
ReplyDeletewill be like a home game for leeds fans at O/S.will allocate tickets to create atmosphere. sad but true
ReplyDeleteBig stadium small club. I suggest taking along ur collection of sex dolls with u to try and fill up some of those empty seats
ReplyDeletePreferable to taking along underage girls 18.18
ReplyDeleteIt should have gone to spurs they are a bigger club with more chance if filling it . West ham did have a lot of players in the world cup squad your claim to fame for the England squad now is Andy carrol and he's on loan and he's not very good !!! So you really shouldn't be bragging about your club dick head !! Leeds fan are bitter of how our club has been run west ham fans are bitter because they have never won anything and are only 5th biggest club in london and they have knobhead fans like you they don't even stick together half of them hate the other half w&nker at least they have got Billy Mitchell to support them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Wet Spam on acquiring this magnificent stadium please can you explain how you managed to con the powers that be into agreeing to it - there again Karen Brady could persuade me into doing all sorts of things! Isn't it typical of this country to take such a fantastic venue that saw so many brilliant UK achievements over the summer and relegate it to a complete non-entity full-(although that's unlikely) of total no hoper's? What a shame it will never see such glorious days again. Please think again and give it to a team worth watching and with some hope of success.
ReplyDeleteDont forget your bubble machine when you leave your history behind.
ReplyDeleteWhat happens about the O,s you will be playing football in their backyard, taking away their future, does no one care about them on your board, does your fanbase not care, but i suppose why should they when thousands rejoice in the innocent slaughter of millions.
ReplyDeleteWaste Ham in the Olympic Stadium = Chas n Dave in the Royal Opera House.
ReplyDeleteThe epitome of incongruence!!
MOT
i don't understand the point of all this....
ReplyDeleteLeeds are crap - so what
West Ham a great - so what
You shout
They shout back
what is the end game?
any creativity?
sad
West Ham's greatest ever side of the 60s - 'the Glory Years' and they were shit then too. Mid-table mediocrity of Peters Moore and Hurst. Won fuck all and shipped tonnes of goals. Some things never change then....
ReplyDeleteWhy give it to a dogshit team with dogshit fans don't worry you will be down very soon your spending far more on wages than you can afford its going tits up already
ReplyDeleteI am a west ham fan and I just want to say that the plonk that writes this blog has nothing to do with any of us!
ReplyDeleteBy so many of you replying to his uneducated posts you really are just proving to be on the same level as his.
I have a number of good friends that are Leeds fans and I hope you do end up back in the premierleague, you belong there the same as west ham...
There are a lot of die hard fans that don't want to leave Upton park but if we really are going to move forward then the Olympic stadium is our chance.
We won't be miles from the pitch as retractable seating will be installed to take us right up to the pitch edge and with the excellent transport links we will easily fill 60,000.
And as for it being a 450 million pound hand out that is just a joke. The reason we have been given the ground is because our business plan is the only one that will allow the Olympic legacy to live on as well as paying money back into the governments pockets.
And as much as I hate the guy that writes this blog by all the posts that I read above from Leeds fans it is proof that, whether you admit it or not, you are jealous of the future that could be in store for west ham.
Hope we will be playing you back in the prem soon....
COYI
So you finally 'bite' on one of our threads and then try and justify yourself?
ReplyDeleteWe don't actually give a shit about whether you get 'given' a new stadium or not, although it's quite obvious you can't actually afford to build one, unlike us?
5th biggest club in London?!! Who's currently 4th, Crystal Palace? How funny :-d
ReplyDeleteBy that reckoning I'd say Leeds are the 6th biggest club in the North of England.
Anyhow, loving the vitriol from Leeds fans with small dicks. 'My club is bigger than yours'. Oh dear. But you're wrong anyway.
As the original article infers, Leeeds are a club with a glorious past but one which has realised it's potential. WHU are a club with a great history and tradition but one which has yet to realise it's potential. The potential is indeed a glorious future.
Peace.
