Another embarrassing stat for Noble's critics. Not only does he complete more passes than any other West Ham player, not only does he complete more tackles than any other West ham player, not only does he average more miles per game than any other West Ham player, not only does he sit fourth in the Premiership table for average miles covered in a game...but he also completes more tackles per game than all but three players in the Prem.
Thus far, Noble has completed 88 tackles at an average of 3.83 per game, which sits him behind only Sidwell, Zabaletta and Schneiderlain. So, above Sandro, above Diame, above Arteta, above Carrick...
Not bad for a useless yard dog!
By the way, anybody know where Stani is hiding after Noble's assist on Saturday?
Stani is fed with you, just as I am HF. What a load of ???? once again from you. Noble's PR machine has taken off simply because we have won a game. The way you go on about it, one would think that Noble is as key to West Ham as Iniesta is to Barcelona. Passing the ball to players next to you or even backwards does not win any games. And if, in the so many corners that he wastes he takes one that Andy Carroll can rise above everyone else and head home it is really nothing to brag about.
ReplyDeleteShort "safe "passes that lead nowhere and mostly soft and ineffective tackles do not win us games. I wonder what you will write if one day Noble manages to score a hat-trick (that is a wild thought)...
West Ham will become a better team if people like you keep quiet about mediocre players in key positions and have them replaced with creative midfielders. We have a few on the bench but they will never get a chance to show us what they can do with Noble Cheer leaders like you after every game.
All his passes do go side ways though.
ReplyDeleteYou have to wonder why Cole couldn't find Carroll's head with his corners Sav. Or Taylor. Odd that.
ReplyDeleteAnd why is Noble so high in all those tables then? Wonder how his assists compare with Diame's. I'll try to check that out for you.
You're pretty darn good at going missing yourself Armchair. When your "warnings" come back to slap you round the mush.
ReplyDeleteSince it's stats time at Armchair HQ. All time results between Leeds and West Ham. Leeds won 48. WH won 27. Now that's nigh on double in my book.
Means jack of course. Just like your Noble blatherings.
tut tut, mister potty mouth not a lot of interest from your own fans.....take yours and now mine out of this riveting equation and your not left with much to satisfy your adiction for attention seeking.........i think around 6 in the morning is when you will get your next hit......can you last that long.......will you spend all night in a sweat thinking of your next attention seeking hit......you have to ask yourself.....can i last that long?................. remember small steps and you will be fine, honest
ReplyDeletegot to go......i have a life calling.
ReplyDeleteWether your a fan of his or not, you have to admit nobles having a good, solid season in the prem. This on the back of being our best player in the championship last season. There was a good post on the org about predictability of stance, highlighting certain peoples reluctance to praise players they previously crtisized, regardless of how well they are performing. I suppose some fans will always be too stubborn to admit nobles been important for us, but if you asked any ex pro or pundit, they would tell you how well mark has played this season. For me, he is a true west ham great in the making and is the future captain of our club. Super marky noble!

ReplyDeleteHahaaa, dear me. I would disappear because Noble got an assist? Hahaa, you really do have a childish and miserly mind, HF.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting you write 'Noble's assist' rather than 'Noble's excellent performance' or something of the like when trying to goad me. Why? Because we all know he had another poor game don't we? Even your subconscious is telling you so.
I've read your match post and see that Sav did say he did not watch the game and wasn't inclined to believe your views on Noble, and he was right. Sav, he was awful! His ball into the box couple of minutes before half time summed it up mate. See if you can get a recording of it, you have to watch it!!!!
And it wasn't just that. I do wish that I could sit and watch a game with you one day HF, because then I would be able to point everything out to you and you would have nowhere to run and no answer because the evidence would be there in front of you.
Regards his assist...it was all Carroll wasnt it? Epic leap that turned that pie in the sky into an assist. How many Noble corners lead to a goal, HF? Yes, that should take care of your argument there.
And on your other post you say "for some reason he has displaced Joe Cole and Taylor on set piece duty again" but that is complete nonsense. Why? Because if you go and view what happened, you will see it was Joe Cole who was involved in winning us the corner. Huffing and puffing, he gestures to Noble to go and take the corner. This is all on video. Hahaa! Clearly this shows that Cole is in charge of corners and has allowed Noble to take that one. I would appreciate it if you would like to state clearly that you were wrong here.
Now to this post.
"Not only does he complete more passes...not only does he sit fourth in the Premiership table for average miles covered in a game...but he also completes more tackles per game than all but three players in the Prem."
So why is there no interest in this great player of ours? Surely, surely someone must be looking at him?! He could be regarded as one of the top five best midfielders in England according your stats and no one wants him?! Explain this HF? Window after window goes by but no one is interested in cockney Pirlo. Why? Tell us HF?
The guy is a PR master. Even during games he's at it. When we're holding onto a lead and under the cosh, go to ground and commit a foul high up the pitch so everyone thinks you'd die for the cause and have put in a shift. That's right, good on you son...sonny jim laddy boy! What a geezer?!
There was a epic moment few weeks ago when football focus came to Upton Park. They did an interview with Noble (surprise surprise) and the interviewer was talking about our promotions and he goes to Noble, you seem to be at the front in every photo! I almost spat my tea out! You should have seen Noble's face! Now we all know why he is always at the front dont we?
Armchairs ultimate fantasy would be the joining of his two obsessions, noble signing for Leeds. His chair covers would look like west ham fan leslie granthams underpants after a visit to Barnes.
ReplyDeleteClearly mark and armchair go back a long way, most likely indulging in armchairs not so noble hobby.
ReplyDelete18:18 armchair HQ - pricless!

ReplyDeleteNow that's why I come to this blag. (Sorry. Blog)
even so,leon osman is a better player.deal with it!
ReplyDeleteripped apart by your fellow west ham fans! ouch!
ReplyDeleteNoble rubbish again today [first half against that great team Villa]. Face it HF, he's just not as good you rate him. In fact he's slow, predictable and very very average. OK, but not all that. Often frankly mediocre. But he's 'local' so lets all boost him up as WH thru and thru. OOps, just threw up - what a load of nonsense. Diame not looking exactly brilliant either - against that great team Villa. Cole and Carrols the only PL players in this lot.
