All those West Ham fans wetting themselves at the thought of Di Canio managing the club might like to reflect after tonight's Blunderland horror show.
Just like his idol Mussolini, Di Canio started well at the Stadium of Plight, but the Premiership is a 38 game season and a couple of victories count for little in the long run. The win over Newcastle was courtesy of some dreadful decisions by the officials and Everton should have left the North East with at least a point. Tonight's performance and result have put everything into true perspective.
Now tell me, when was the last time an Allardyce team surrendered so pathetically? We were very poor at Sunderland and shipped 3 goals, and it's true that Arsenal tore us apart at the Emirates - but Arsenal are a much better team than Villa! Of course, the same excuse cannot be given for the 5-1 mauling at Ipswich last season but Allardyce was focused on the transfer window that night.
Il Duce Di Canio may prove me wrong but I don't expect him to be a Premiership manager this time next year. Allardyce, on the other hand, will keep doing what he is best at: organising his team to play the percentages and punch above their weight. Like we did at the weekend, when we pushed Mancini's millionaires close.
Allardyce is like the Nationwide Building Society - boring but reliable; trusting Di Canio is like putting your mortgage on zero in a casino - exciting but very, very dangerous. Sunderland have opted for the thrill ride and may well live to regret it!
So, when was the last time an Allardyce side shipped six goals?

I don't think Di Canio is your average, Arry Redknapp style 'exciting' manager, play swashbuckling football but get no results. He clearly has more about him than that. Wait till next season and Sunderland will be one of the best sides in the league in terms of tactics and orginisation, under Di Canio
Fuck me, you change your tune practically every day. All you usually do is piss and moan about West Ham or who we are rumoured to be signing and yet now BFS is some sort of footballing deity because PDC's side got a good hiding at Villa last night and West Ham didn't. We went there at a time where Villa were in pisspoor form, leaking goals like a sieve and had very brittle confidence. But did we attack them and get the crowd on their back? No, we stayed in our own half "to see what they had to throw at us" and started attacking at 2-0 down. Tactical masterclass. Starting to think this page is just here as a wind up tbh
I see that you are deluded fan of Big Sam. Then answer how West Ham under 21 were given their chance to play even 5-6 minutes. And why, as it is so good Big Sam is not his contract renewed yet. That Di Canio has lost a match 6-1 can not draw conclusions but you exactly what you expect to show how great was Big Sam. Excuses that was headed Big Sam the transfer window are frivolous at the loss of Ipswich 5-1.
It will be easier in the Championship !
Did his Blacburn not lose 7-1 once?
7-1 V Man Utd?
He's inherited a squad he doesn't have a choice in. Let's give a chance. You pawing him for getting his bum smacked last night is a bit premature. I wouldn't sign him up on the last two performances bit I wouldn't slay him on last night alone either.
Different styles of play between the two guys Allardyce goes for the safety option not always attractive to watch but as got the job done this year will he be found out next season as don't seem to have a plan B as for PDC he manages like he played gives he's all also went to Sunderland after transfer window so couldn't sign who he wanted I agree with above next season they will be a force & play the Di Canio way or will feel the force of he's boot up there arse
7-1 at old trafford just before blackburn sacked him
And we've let in 5 at Ipswich not long ago

I think we need to give him some time before judging; he did a consistent job at Swindon; allegedly passed out top of his class for his coaching badges. I think it remains to be seen how his emotional state of mind enhances or detracts from his skills as a manager but in general I would say for a club like ours Sam is the ideal manager bringing sense and stability at a time when we really can't afford to be outside the top flight. Sunderland on the other hand were doomed IMO with O Neil so a roll of the Di Canio dice made sense.
The last time an Allardyce side shipped 6 goals? Ooh let's see. How about twice in the same season - Arsenal 6 Blackburn 2 04/10/09 and Villa 6 Blackburn 4 20/01/10.
Your comment about Di Canio is totally unfair. When Greenwood was our manager we conceded 6 or more with alarming regularity - including an 8-2 loss at home to Blackburn! Under Lyall we shipped 6 goals against Arsenal and QPR. Under Redknapp, 6 against Everton and 7 against Man Utd.
Last season, Arsenal lost 8-2 to Man Utd and Man Utd lost 6-1 to Man City. Do these one-off results make Wenger and Ferguson bad managers? Of course they effing well don't.
Anyone can take one result to prove their theories. It wouldn't surprise me if Sunderland finish above us next season - and they'll play better football doing it as well.
You can talk to HF until your teeth fall out mate, he won't be having any of it. He just LOVES getting the boot in on Di Canio. Starting to think him and mouse are the same person. It would explain the skitzo posts, having rows with himself because only a handful of people ever comment.
Why do you enjoy Di Canio bashing so much HF? Were you bullied at school? You sure you actually do support West Ham? This is some shameful shit
I know he just gives fans the hump. Shame really.
Oooohh You should talk to anony mouse. I just laid him down on another post. According to him, Di Canio didn't give his all and isn't a club Legend.
I agree with this and the other posts on here so far.
Come on let's be having you mouse, get out from under your rock with your two-bob comments.
See all these fans on here? HF stirred the pot on this post. Ask any of these people if Di Canio isn't a legend down at West Ham. You bullshit artist. I left you a pressie on the other post in case you fancy being ironed out you can read it.
