McCarthy Rejects Moves to Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday

So McBenni has refused two opportunities to play competitive football.

What does that say about the guy? He can only rot in the reserves at Upton Park, but that's preferable to playing in front of a paying audience for two clubs with a proud history apparently. What a tosser!

Why did he turn down Wednesday and Charlton? Apparently the kebabs in Sheffield and South of the River are not up to scratch and you can't get a good Bunny Chow for love nor money!

    Is there? Best one I've ever had was from a greasy cafe on the Holloway Road. Never really found a good one south of the Thames.

    A bunny chow, a traditional South African dish. Hollowed out loaf with curry in the middle - traditionally rabbit presumably although Deane may correct me. A McBenni special!

    I guess that the reason he is refusing to go is because he has to accept a reduction in his wages. He knows he is too old to make a career for himself from here on. He is just cashing in as much as possible before retiring. Another reason why we should be buying only young talent. Ba and Obinna are for me good acquisitions and at the right age. I am not so sure about Keen.

    Yep, with a knife and fork. And you dunk the white heart of the loaf in the sauce. It is very good actually. I've made one for myself. Makes a change from rice.

    No I didn't Stani.

    Makes no difference to his wages Sav. In fact, he could earn appearance money and goal scoring bonuses on top of the salary we would still have to pay him!

    Bet that gets messy. You can't beat chapatis with curry HF...or fresh naan. You have a lot of rice?

    You should start a small league next season...me, you, Marty, Sav, Fred, Kareem, Deane, Essex, Dave, T.I.S, John, Headmaster, Isaac, Anonymous, Anonymous...and Anonymous. It'll show us how much you really know about players :)

    Has anyone even actually finished one of those? How does it not all spill into your lap when the bread goes soggy?

    Spotted Marti in the West Ham Supporters section of the Fantasy League,just above me.....swine.
    Where are you Stani?
    I've run a League in this for a few yers now. Great fun and very addictive.
    It starts to take precedence over ACTUAL football!
    Easy to organise and join.
    Let's do it next season.
    Only problem is we won't be able to include any of our beloved Hammers...LOL

    Good strong crust at the side Chunky. When you breach the dam it runs out a bit but you use the dough scooped out from the inside to soak that up. You don't put the loaf straight on to your lap!

    I'm 1,087th position of all West Ham fans on 1488. Quite good for a first timer. I got a sick team...tossers get injured though.
