Into the bottom three

So, when was the last time we were in the bottom three of the Premiership? You have to go back to the time of Avram. Six or seven games into the season and the table is generally taking shape, and whilst we currently have a game in hand, it is hard to imagine us bringing anything back from Tottenham tomorrow, or indeed against Man City next week.

Captain Kev has been wheeled out to play the role of Corporal Jones, telling everybody "Don't panic!" but anybody with any sense knows that we now face one hell of a battle to avoid the drop. Remember, thirteen of the squad have slipped through the Premiership trap door before; and without Carroll, there is no fire power in the team. And personally I wouldn't be surprised if Carroll is the new Dean Ashton, extending his pay day on the basis of forever being a month or so away from fitness.

Now all we need is for the fans to disgrace the club at Tottenham tomorrow.

Absolute bollocks. At this stage of the season it doesn't mean much, even if we lose the next couple of games.

I wish it was absolute bollocks but being in the bottom three puts pressure on a team regardless of the stage of the season. No recognised centre forward fit and a one dimensional manager further increase my concern. Can only see a failed attempt at parking the bus tomorrow. Even with my C&B blinkers on I fear for us this season.

Bang on not bollocks - how do you win a football match if you can't score - and we ain't gonna score. We scored 7 away goals last season and we might score less than that this term - absolute disgrace.
Hold on, the prolific marksman Carlton Cole is coming back - now that is bollocks !!

Anon your a moron plain and simple. Of course it matters. The same way that under Avram our teams confidence was destroyed before we even played teams similar to us and we were doomed to go down cuz the start to the season we had. The exact same could happen this season.

Well said! What bollocks! Bill Shankly always said don't look at the table till Christmas. If that's good enough for him it's good enough for me.

whats a leeds united fan masquerading as a hammers fan doing on here, wanker

Don't worry we are saved. Our goal scoring problem is solved with the signing of Carlton Cole. Yeah he was great for us. I would bet mortgage everytime he was one on one. He never fell over with his arms flapping in the air. Never winced when it went wrong. Has Dowie still got a pair of boots, what size is he. What a joke.

What a pr?!" Doesn't mean anything....it means we're relegated right now you jockey! With nothing from next two we will still be there and YES worry!!! Bottom line is if your in the bottom three you worry, praying Sunderland and palace are worse than us ....

Top army

Why sign downing? When it was clear we needed striker

Sunderland actually have better players than west ham, mow that's worth worrying about

We definitely need to worry! Similar to the last time we went down, we are already losing games to teams that will be battling us, come the end of the season, to stay up.

We have a team of injury prone rejects and a manager with as much footballing imagination as a pine comb.

I can't believe we have been left in this position. I know there were plenty of transfer target in august that didn't quite materialize but the question is why did they all turn us down. I suspect it's the particular brand of anti football we are peddling at the moment.

with all our eggs put in the one fragile basket in the summer, the inability to score, never mind win, and the diabolical quality of entertainment served up every week are reasons plenty to get rid of Bfs. We should get rid now and take our chances.

Facts dont lie we are bang in trouble a total of 14 shots on target in 6 games spurs had 29 against Cardiff alone ! in the bottom three and no points from the next 2 games no go scorers and already lost at home to one of the poorest teams in the league stoke and cannot win away. I predict today spurs will make us look like muppets and put 4-0 past us

For all those saying do not panic only 6 games in. We are bang in trouble cannot score, playing awful, no points from the next 2 games, have lost at home to 1 of the worst team in the league stoke ! Oh and cannot win away. Facts do not lie 14 shots on goal this season from all games spurs had 29 against Cardiff. I predict we will look like muppets today and get spanked 4-0 with nolan sent off.

How did Andy Carroll pass a medical last summer ? after he injured his heel in the last game of the season

Hammersfan said...

How did Dean Ashton pass a medical when he arrived wrapped in more bandages than the average mummy? Beggars can't be choosers even when breaking the club's transfer record!

Come to that, how did Maiga pass the "But can he play football?" test ahead of his £5m signing?

Sack the board manager & players apart from Winston Reid. Far too many over rated prima donas as for BFS fucking clueless Northern prick

All these articles just causing doom and gloom... Its early days, calm down. Andy will be back soon enough and a steady run of form will see us stay in the premier league.

Having actually watched our games this season, I'm confident West Ham are not going down.... Although expect Spuds to spank us today...

Bfs will no doubt employ the same tactics today as have already been employed with very little success on the road since our return to the top flight.

The definition of madness is to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome.

I think we should all start treating the club as the commercial entity it is being sold as since the Gold and Sullivan took over and as such should withhold our custom until something a little more satisfying is served up.

Football apparently is an entertainment as well as results based business and we're getting very little of either at the minute. Our unwavering loyalty is being exploited by those in charge and are being treated like mugs.

In any other sector if the punters aren't satisfied by the product then they don't buy it. I don't know about anyone else but I'll not be parting with another penny until something drastically changes.

Already two points adrift. But it's just another episode in the carry on film that is west ham united. It has been ever thus, with the odd high point like assorted cup finals etc, but a succession of poor owners with no ambition, or clueless owners with too much ambition like the icelandic consortium. by the way, how are they doing financially these days ? [£$£ recovery of course].
This decline is what will happen for the foreseeable future. As for the porno bros, they are quite happy to trust in dinosaurs like Allardyce or Silkman and the results are plain for all to see.
