Well Allardyce reckons he needs three new players and faces an injury crisis over the crucial Christmas period, but that's not enough to provoke the recall of Montano. Indeed quite the opposite, we've told Dagenham they can extend the loan and keep him until the New Year.
Clearly the boy is not rated. If Carew and Piquionne are better options, then Doctor Evil must consider Montano worse than useless. Another Academy product heading the way of so many others it seems.

Left to rot? He's getting 1st team football experience in the football league.
I must admit, following potts excellent display at the weekend surely there is something to be said for a kid with a bit of ambition over a 30 something brick shit house type player...
guess it don't suit hoof ball...and lets face it montano might actually run at defenders down the wings...fuck that....knock it over their heads for gods sack...why play through em when you can simply play over em...
2239 Great, that's like training a doctor in a slaughter house!
Beelzebub, please use the fcuk spelling!
Montano should be given a chance before we just throw him off like that...also, we need to put Montenegro on! He just does well for the reserves and we never get him off the bench!
Montano is an intriguing prospect but the fact that it's Dagenham that have him on loan speaks volumes of where he is in his career right now.
It makes sense to give him games elsewhere - we can't regularly- he's not earned that chance yet. You can't put people in the team just 'cos the are young.
Also bearing in mind the constant pressure on Allardyce even when we win, and in the knowledge that ridiculously, he may only be given one season to get us up he would be mad to take a chance on unproven players.
I know the counter argument- some of the established players are a disgrace and don't deserve their place- Im thinking in particular of Picquionne. But we can bring players in in 2 weeks rather than throw unproven youngsters in and crossing our fingers.
It's great when a Pottsy breaks through, but bring through too many at the same time and the pressure on them could well be too much. That would be the case even if they were good enough, and we don't yet know that they are.
