QPR's Warnock Beginning to Bluster

Oh dear, Neil Warnock is now telling us that there's not a lot of difference between QPR and the other promoted teams - and is putting the Rs lowly position in the table down to the late arrival of the new owners.

This is all very odd because the last time I checked, QPR came up as Champions, which kind of suggests they should be stronger than both Swansea and Norwich without any new recruits. And, of course, the Welsh and Norfolk minnows were not taken over by a "mega rich" Malaysian owner late in the summer were they?

Joey Barton? Shaun Wright-Phillips? D J Campbell? Anton Ferdinand? Traore? Luke Young? They didn't join Swansea or Norwich before the window closed did they? No, I've just checked, they were QPR's marquee signings, and by comparison, the other new boys had to make do with the odd wind breaker, B&Q own brand gazebo and Lidl two man tent.

And yet Warnock is using the late arrival of his new signings as the excuse for Rangers being beneath both of their newly promoted rivals. Neil has clearly never heard the saying, "Better late than never"!

The fact that Swansea are reputedly having a "great season", whilst sitting just two points above QPR, is clearly getting under Warnock's skin as he struggles to cope with the level of expectation that Fernandes' bullshit has generated. Fifteenth place, just two points above the bottom three, was not what Tony Fernandes envisaged when he breezed into the Bush, telling anybody who was stupid enough to listen that he was going to turn QPR into a force in English football.

Of course Mittal might not be in a mood to spend, spend, spend after recently losing £2.16 billion. Not even Man City have spent that much! And, when push comes to shove, Fernandes is a relatively small fish in the financial pond despite all his splashing around. Warnock knows he has to buy new players but the war chest required may not be anywhere near as large as he was initially led to believe. No wonder the guy is beginning to bluster. He's been here before - and we all know what happened to Sheffield United!

Stick to the Championship.

Hahaha get your facts right.
Mittal is in Forbes 2011 rich list :6th richest person on the planet, worth £19.95bn.

hahahah what nonsense.

My facts are right. Lost £16.9billion! Follow the link!

Richest man in Britain or not, he has been burnt!

I'm not sure you're West Ham. Of your recent posts more have been about slagging off QPR than about West Ham.

You slag off the R's, you defend John Terry, and hang on a minute, didn't you say the other week that you lived to the West of London. Its all adding up you little minx- you're Chelsea aren't you? Admit it HF- cos you don't come across as West Ham.

Btw R's fans- genuinely hope you stay up- you are a club that we've never felt any animosity towards. COYI!

Did you get bullied at school by a Rangers fan or something?

You clearly spend to much time worrying about what we're up to and not enough time going out in to the big bad world and interacting with the human race.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the link you provided is for an article dated April 2009. We are nearly in 2012. Mittal is one of the richest men on the planet and has recouped most of his losses. Your posts are generally amusing and often factually correct, but please dont let things slip by getting out of date sources. Otherwise people will laugh at you and your credibility diminishes.

Credibility has officially gone. 2009 facts for what is nearly 2012? Your worse than a politician? Peddling distorted facts for your own gain. Shame on you.

Try this one then:

£2.16billion lost in 6 days in August. When did Fernandes buy in to QPR?

You complain about our Marquee signings not performing and how people like Norwich and Swansea's below par players are having great season. Not only do you know what a great season is in the eyes of the team, why would you talk about Mittail losing money? From your evidence you make it seem like this will enhance performance.

Sorry Mick but that doesn't make a lot of sense. My point about Mittal is that he may not be happy to waste money at the moment, which is a bblow for those QPR fans who keep telling me that his billions will fund major movements in the transfer market. It was Warnock who drew the comparison with Swansea and Norwich, not me; I have simply responded to it. We all know that Neil would regard fourth from bottom as the equivalent of winning the Prem!

No retort for the 'one of your own' who called you an imposter? For a supposed Hammers fan you really do seem to have in for the R's - surely it should be Millwall or Spurs you're constantly coating off.
I agree with everything that poster said.

What's a few billion to Mittal - chicken feed.

Hammersfan said...

Which comes out as chicken shit at Blackburn. Asian owners, they promise the earth and deliver...

We also have other wealthy owners who are part of Fernandes' consortium.

If I were you, I'd check to see if the Hammers have any money to spend in January. Southampton, Cardiff and Leicester will all strenghtem their squads.

Don't worry about Rangers, concentrate on the Hammers.

We just happen to be lucky in that we have several wealthy backers therefore we'll spend our way out of trouble if needed.

It's not as if we are cut adrift from the other teams, a few wins and you shoot up the table. Mittal is still a multi billionaire and a shrewd businessman. He knows that it's better to spend, in order to retain Premier League status and guarantee the riches that the Premier League offers.

I am sick and tired of reading the garbage this hammers fan keeps writing.

You really need to get a life mate, QPR Premier League and will climb the table in the new year. West Ham bubble will burst and stay in the Championship

Hammersfan said...

Question, why do you keep reading it? Merry Christmas!

I really like your posts Hammersfan but am a little concerned by the sources you have been using for information. In the article you quote 2009 Forbes figures showing a £16.9 billion loss for the Mittals, but later on you revise the figure to only £2.16 Billion in the comments. That is a massive difference. Keep up the good posts, but maybe avoid commenting on financial matters.

Simple accounting error. I read about the loss in August, then looked for the article on line to check the amount, only to stumble on an old one. I corrected as soon as I realised. Still, rich as he is, £2.16billion isn't fun to lose!

Have a great Christmas!
