Credit where credit is due. Southampton have sustained their form all season long and Reading have put together the most amazing charge over the final two thirds of the season. Allardyce is blaming our "home hoodoo" in the most pathetic of styles, trying to hoodwink fans and critics into not seeing the blindingly obvious, that he has constructed a team without guile and balance which can hit teams on the break - thus our excellent away record - but which is utterly clueless at home when the onus is on us to attack.
Amazingly, there are still Allardyce defenders on here, but I suspect that is pride fcuking with them. Anybody with an once of humility will recognise that their backing of Allardyce was utterly misguided. Let's go through their defence shall we?
First off it was that the table doesn't lie and that we occupied a promotion place. Well that argument is well and truly buggered isn't it?
Then it was that Allardyce has turned us into a lean, mean defensive machine. Try telling that to Ipswich, Reading and Birmingham!
Then there was the "Look at how many players he had to ship out and bring in" argument. Oh yes? Then how do you account for Birmingham's position, given they had to move out more and had to cope with the Europa League too. Oh, and how much did Birmingham spend in the summer? Or in January?
The truth is, Allardyce has fcuked up big time, and so have all those "fans" who backed him to succeed. But hang on, I'm misreading this because I am in Romania apparently! Hammers fans are happy apparently! We are confident of winning promotion via the play offs seemingly. That was always Allardyce's game plan stupid!
Fools! Fools! Fools! As Benjamin would scream as the club of Greenwood and Lyall is carted off to the knackers!

Anony-mouse says,
Oh dear HF- you are either in melt down or in need of an anger management course. And all it took was that one little post from me on your last thread. I take it you and the missus are not enjoying your break as much as you hoped.
I'm not going to justify any of what you wrote by responding to it as I'm not going to give you the pleasure of an equaliser. Suffice to say it was your usual black and white, simplistic, negative sh*te.
And don't worry, as I've said before I'm only on here til the season's end so try not to disintegrate between now and then. There's only so much fun you can have winding up a wind-up merchant.
Toodle pip HF and keep smiling.
cock
Obviously the players themselves have absolutely no responsibility for the type of defending shown aginst Birmingham - just to name one!
The manager is completely responsible for everything - Like at Huddersfield and Wolves - or even Portsmouth EH?
Can't disagree with much of that HF. Absolutely gutted tonight. Surprised - no. My own prediction on Wrighty's org post last July was that we'd finish 5th and fail in the play off semi final. I'll amend that to 3rd with the same outcome. With due deference to your fine site I'll refrain from calling Mr Allardyce what I really want to call him tonight.
Missing out on promotion would be a blessing in disguise.
Irrespective of your views of the Manager’s shortcomings, this squad is nowhere near ready for a campaign in the Premier League. It would be both painful and embarrassing to witness. I could envisage the stronger sides running up cricket scores against us.
I doubt that Big Sam would be given the funds to sufficiently strengthen the squad for Premiership survival or whether the players he wanted/needed would be available. While a second season spent in the Championship might, on the face of it, seem like a bitter pill to swallow, it would allow us time to recruit in a more measured and less panicky fashion, build on the strengths and improve the technique of our players.
I’m somewhat ruefully resigned to a second season in the Championship.
LOL Anonymouse, I have obviously pressed your button. No defence of Allardyce here because you can't offer one! All your arguments have unravelled haven't they? You kept the faith and where has it got you? With egg on your face! Headmaster read it right when he called play off but hopefully wrong when he called it failure via play off. I still hope that Allardyce can get his team selection right in the playoffs, although, I must admit, I struggle to come up with a formation that incorporates all the key personnel. The jigsaw doesn't fit as I have maintained all season. Whose fault is that? Allardyce's!
PS Had a wonderful time in Romania. Urge everybody to visit!
Romania?!?! good god man, have you no shame? that's has to be the cheapest holiday in Europe! did you take the caravan?
I think that with the crap we got relegated with, promotion was going to be a big ask. My serious expectation was a mid-table struggle whilst all the old crap was moved on and good championship players bought.
So for me a secured play-off spot in the first season is happy days.

Very negative. Unless the table is upside down we are 3rd from the top. Whatever would you have blogged if we were third from bottom?
It's not over until the fat lady sings. Reading still have to go to Southampton and Brum so there is still an outside chance of sneaking into the top 2 places. Failing that the fairy has not
fcuked up in the play offs yet.
Who knows, she might still find her magic wand.
All this may be wishful thinking but it is very difficult to understand how a true Hammers fan would want otherwise or write off our chances so prematurely.
0958, cheap it may be - and as it happens it wasn't THAT cheap - but beautiful it certainly is.
From all at loftus road fuck you and good nite !
00:11 From all at Upton Park - you that sure it's all over then, mate?
