Apparently we are planning a "serious bid" for Tevez over the next few days. That's interesting but it does make you wonder what that says about our original enquiry doesn't it? Did Sullivan ring up and say, "Did you hear the one about the Italian, the Argentinian and a stadium full of Germans? Gizzus your Argie, and I'll send you a dildo by return of post."
If we are getting serious, how does the deal differ from the one originally proposed? Are we going to offer to pay his wages in full? It's a mad idea but no where near as mad as paying Wayne Bridge £97,000 a week to fanny around at left back!
The prospect of seeing Tevez playing (when he feels like it) in Claret and Blue is mouth watering but do any of us believe it will really happen? Sullivan and Gold would become gods if they pulled it off and it would be a delicious poke in the eye of all those who laugh at the way we ballsed up the original signing. And do you know, I reckon there's a 50% chance it will happen. Mancini has to ship him out and where else can he go between now and January?

yeah i find it hard to believe it will happen too just because his 200k per week doesnt really affect the owners so why would they get rid of him. it would be nice to see a loan from now to January, that could be enticing if they were to sell him then.
OMG, it would be sooooo hilarious if it ever came off!
Imagine the reaction of the football world!
Please, please let it be true.....
It cold be harming just having him around for City. No doubt Leicester will come in with a bid but surely our connections would sway him in our direction?

I'm a great fan of Carlos and all that but I am not sure he would help in the ultimate aim - to get promoted. More than anything we need to get into a rhythm of winning with the bodies we have for the duration.
If he did score a hatful of goals in November and December, all well and good but it wouldn't put us out of reach, even if we won every game, and then what- back to square one or two when he's off to sunnier climes in January.
We would still be trying to get our strike force up and running- and under more pressure than they are at the moment.. And what if he doesn't score for two or three games? Carlos has said he has unfinished business at West Ham but I'm not sure a two month holiday in the east End would ultimately do him or us any good in the long term. Nice idea though!
My mates sister works as a cleaner at the Boleyn as she he was there yesterday
I think it is a very attractive proposition for both Tevez, Man City and possibly West Ham.
1. Tevez gets a chance to prove he can be a hero again and fight for something he believes in. It will do wonders for his damaged image.
2. Man. City don't have too many choices. They either send him back to Argentina and keep paying him for getting unfit or offer him to a Championship club that a. want him and b. can afford most if not all his wages.
3. Possibly West Ham because we all know what he can do and how he is able to turn the whole team into another gear. My only worry is that he will leave in January and we may not have enough points in the bag to make it to the finish line in May without him.
Unless Im missing something, FIFA rules wouldnt allow him to come to us AND leave in January. A player cannot be registered to three different teams during a 12 month period, right? So if that is the case, and he did come to us (after which I would gather two of every animal and build an ark), I think he would have to stick it out for the whole season.
i think it would be the best bit of work the brady bunch would have done if they could pull this off but i really cant see it happening and also once the yids realise we are serious it wont be long before they make a move....C O Y I
USA Dave, I think you are right about the 12 month rule. So, if he does come to us, a big if now because Man City may try to ship him to a club abroad in January, it will be for the whole season. That would be fantastic. And if we are promoted, the who knows... he may actually stay on.
