I was glad to see Behrami back. Even though he didn't score much nor assist all that much last season, he played a very important role in our attacking, so he'll be a great asset. I'm glad that Hines is still doing fantastic, because I would like to see him play on the first team soon, should he keep on scoring goals like a maniac. I saw Diamanti's goals on Youtube and I was impressed. I think he'll get a shot at Wigan with Cole, and hopefully we'll see something special happen!

I'm not going to get too exited just yet, sure he has a reputation as being a bit of a free kick specialist and demonstrated that last night, but it was only against a reserve keeper, let's see if he can do that against the likes of Petr Cech or Edwin Van der Sar. Also as much as we have needed a player that can do stuff like that, I hope that he aint just a one trick pony and can also play a decent game and also score goals that are not form set pieces.

I went to the game and I must say he looks a real livewire. I must also say that every player out there impressed, aside from maybe N'gala who had some wayward passing. Who impressed me the most though was Josh Payne. There must have been 5 or 6 situations were I was convinced he was going to lose the ball yet he wriggled his way through them and plays similarly to Mark Noble. Da Costa looks brill aswell as Daprela. Come on you irons!

Interesting to hear Edz, would be great if Payne came through this season in the same way as Collison did last. How about Hines and Nouble?

Nouble tried a silly lob when miles clear on a one-on-one, however looked good on the left of the three attacking players, would like to see him as the striker though. Zavon Hines was slow to offload the ball at times, however looks very hard to mark, a (dare I say it) Defoe type looking player. Daprela also looks very good in the air, winning every ariel challenge.
