Oh dear God, that has to be one of the worst 45 minutes since...well since Wolves at Upton Park last season! From the kick off, Villa were in our faces, pressing us alll over the pitch on the rare occasions we had the ball, and sweeping past us as if we are a team of concrete bollards when they do!
The first goal was off side without question, but what was Green doing with the initial cross shot. Why on earth he pushed the ball back into play, only Green will know. Why on earth the lineman didn't flag Downing offside when he netted from Green's second deflection in the build up to the goal, will remain a mystery. Never mind goal line technology, as Villa were celebrating the goal there was plenty of time for the message to come down to the ref that the linesman had cocked up. That wasn't Green's only error either! Yes he has made one very good save but he has looked like a rabbit in the headlights every time Villa have crossed the ball into the box. Hopeless, absolutely hopeless.
Mind you, Tomkins did his level best to set Villa up for an opener even before that goal. You couldn't wish for a closer carbon copy to his error against Wolves, except this time he played a beautiful pass to Carew rather than losing possession to a stumble. He wasn't finished though! With Green risking a penalty, Tomkins took over goal scoring responsibility for Villa and tried to place a shot into the corner of hus own net! He hit the post. Even then he wasn't finished. Collecting the rebound, he promptly gave the ball back to Villa! Hopeless, absolutely hopeless!
Nobody told Reid that Young comes inside when on the left; he's been done several times. And nobody has explained that you need both feet on the ground when you take a throw apparently. How long is it since you've since a foul throw in a Premiership game? Well, Faubert last season actually! It's the curse of the West Ham right back apparently!
The corner count is 10-1, and we took that corner short! Idiots! We had one good opportunity but Friedal saved from Boa with Cole totally unmarked on the edge of the six yard box. A simple pass and even...well even Boa would have netted from Cole's position!
Solution? Take off Kovac and get Diamanti on. Cole is isolated and needs support. This was terrible!

Watching it in Oz and must say we are total shite!!! Reid looks very poor and way out of his depth.I just hope this is not the way our season is going to carry on. At least there are three shitter teams than us... There are three worst teams than us?
we will do well to keep it at 3-0 and avoid being bottom thanks to blackpool.
i don't understand the team we started with, i had a hopeless feeling of an inevitable defeat when i saw noble, parker, kovac playing in midfied with faubert and boa supporting cole, they have like 3 goals between them for west ham. for that formation to work you need goal scorers with workrate playing there and well the three cm, its just madness. if this is defensive id hate to see up open and attacking!!!
It was really tough to watch...All these feelings from the past season...again. They played such a nice football in the pre-season games...well, at least Wigan should be even more shite then we were today against a great villans side.
I hate saying this but i now think we should sell Parker and if we are lucky we might get 10 Million, with this we should put the money into a centre half and dedicated right back as Upson is way past his best and Tim Breaker (at his peak of course) looks special compared to our last couple of attempts. Lucas Neil at least led the team like a captain should and although he had no pace and was a bit of a cheating shit. we are toss and to be fair we have been toss for years but it still pisses me off!!!

Dare I say, Grant looks even more out of his depth than Zola. Watching him on the sidelines with his thumb up his arse reminded me of Zola. We are f**ked boys!! Plus his english ain't much better! We got change alright, for the worst!
