Keane and Parker Swap

How long ago did I predict this? Let's see, that would be August 7. And now, reports are suggesting that Grant wants Robbie.

The swap makes perfect sense, especially if we play hard ball and get some cash as part of the deal. Parker doesn't want to be at the Boleyn, if he did, that contract would have been signed by now. 'Arry doesn't want Keane at Tottenham and is desperate to land Parker. It's a no brainer really, given our need for a forward and Tottenham's need for a box to box midfielder. The problem is Behrami. If he wants out, we are suddenly short of midfield cover.

But then there's always Kovac...

Keane is crap

Things never quite fit in place exactly how you want them.

Which means this is never going to happen despite what Talksport tell you.

Talk Sport? Don't insult me Jonah. NEVER listen to Talk Bollocks personally.

Mate, don't forget that Tottenham will be getting that Brazilian midfielder any day now.

They bought him a while back but he's finishing off the Brazilian season or something.

Would much rather have Keane than Santa Cruz, much more mobile.

Defintely go for this swap.KEANE is a natural goal scorer, has pace and will certainly benefit us up front.PARKER, I would like to stay but if WESTHAM get MATTY TAYLOR we, have an ideal replacement who can score goals.GRANT also bring MARK WILSON from PORTSMOUTH our problem area would have been eased considerably.

"Reports are suggesting"?? Aah yes, of course....that'll be straight out of the various tabloid Premier League random rumour generators then HF?! Bored and uninformed journos who are not accomplished enough to be remotely close to any genuine club sources, so they resort to this sort of trash to placate their easily pleased Editor?! Problem is, some people actually believe them...don't they HF?!

...and WHAT, exactly 'makes perfect sense' about this ludicrous fictitious exchange?! NOTHING!
Hypothetically, we'd get a cartwheeling clown of a striker who's well past his sell-by date for a dynamic top-class midfielder who we'd struggle without!
We have strikers coming out of our ears now...fact! LepreKeane can't get in the Spuds side because he's no better than what we already have!

We are SHORT of midfield cover...you said so yourself! Hitzlsperger is out for another 3 weeks minimum we are led to believe! The Kovac transfer was blocked for that reason!! Collison is out long-term! Behrami either can't play or won't play..who knows! Diamanti is unproven over 90mins! We haven't signed Matt Taylor yet! Looks to me like we need Scott Parker now, and for the rest of the season!!
"Parker doesn't want to be at the Boleyn"? NONSENSE!!!

Why hasn't he signed that contract Shaun? Why hasn't he said what Carlton has just said?

These things take time HF...that's not rocket science. Contractual negotiations involving that amount of money are very deliberate and involved. The new contract/extension is apparently with his lawyers as we speak. All of the i's will be dotted and all of the T's will be crossed and then Parker will sign...and you HF, will have an awful lot of humble pie dribbling down your chin!!

I've eaten it before and I will eat it again. Must take a lot of legal perusal. Same contract as last time Scott, just a year longer and eight grand a week more. Hmmmmmm. How many weeks have the lawyers been looking that over? Two weeks now at least. And yet a club can sign a player from another club on a Thursday and play him on a Saturday. Amazing.

And why hasn't Parker come out and said he wants to stay at West Ham?

I have never ever seen HF eat the merest morsel of humble pie - he is the most un-humble (arrogant) person on this planet

Check your facts mate. See the following:

Excuse me eating whilst I type this but I have a bloody great Humble Pie to get through this evening after I foolishly blogged that I saw no way of coming away from Villa with a result today.

Getting sick of this humble pie over Christmas! Eat too much more and I will have to accept that size 18s are stunners! Jimenez wins a penalty! Kovac heads the second! We keep a clean sheet with Faubert and Tomkins in the side! Bloody hell! So much for my 0-2 forecast!

Cards on the table to begin with. I thought Upson was a bad buy when we signed him from Birmingham but his subsequent performances have obliged me to eat humble pie. He has been superb this season and is undoubtedly the cotter pin of our defence, marshalling and leading the defensive unit superbly.

To begin, turkey is off the menu for me. I will check out the ingredients for humble pie and pop off to Tesco first thing in the morning. What idiot suggested surrendering the points because there was no way we could get a result? I stand guilty as accused. Pitch in guys, I deserve it!
