The Official Site Doesn’t Know Its Arsch from Its Ellbogen!
The Official Site doesn’t know its arse from its elbow it seems. Teasing the imminent arrival of Hitlersburger, the OS announced that the new signing was a “proven international with over 60 caps”. Now some have been gloating because, based on this information, I predicted the arrival of Petrov from Unreal City. But how could it be the German, given he has only 51 caps?
Sullivan assured us all that the club had really done their homework on this one. Done their homework? They don’t even know how many international caps the guy has got!
Unless of course, the OS thought Petrov was the first scheduled arrival?

Good point.
But why hasn't Petrov been announced yet and if H-perger was already a done deal, why didn't they say that there was 2 players being announced?
The Petrov situation is certainly intruiging and i hope we do sign him!
ok if YOU had done your homework, you would see that Mr. Thomas has over 60 international caps for his country at ALL LEVELS!
Completely honest mistake HF ;) They weren't taking us for a ride, honest.
If we asked them why they blatantly lied, they'd probably come out with some nonsense that they counted his U21 appearances too.
P.S, I have no doubt that if they had said over 50 appearances, the first thing to pop into your head would have been Thomas Hitzlsperger HF :)
2240 Feeble! They didn't say at all levels! Dear God, on that basis Sears is an England international! Some hope!
Stani, how could you doubt me?
You are quite clearly only referring to the "club close to signing" article... read the article; "Hammers sign the Hammer" and you will understand that they were talking of his caps at all levels mate!
Cobblers, it does not say at "all levels" anywhere, just says "a proven international with over 60 caps". What rubbish you talk Jack.
HF did you just make this post for the sake of it?
It's not that important it just seems like excuse for you to bitch.
"Capped more than 60 times for his country at Under-21 and senior level, he played a key role in his country's qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup only to just miss out on a place in a Germany squad that is expected to be one of the favourites in South Africa this summer"
Maybe not all levels, but it clearly states "Under-21 and senior level"
Case rested... Oh yeah - What Rubbish YOU write mate!!
I don't know where you are getting this from. Here is the link to the teaser released by the club.

Copy and paste that and find any reference to U21 caps!
You see Jack, I am talking about the teaser article, explaining why I thought we were signing Petrov. You, it seems, are talking about a different article. That's a bit like me responding to an article somebody has written on why Mido is crap and quoting statistics for Tevez! Try to keep up mate!
Why do you think they quoted the figured as over 60 caps at U21 and Senior level in the later article? Because they had ballsed up in the initial press release! Somebody had not done his homework properly! Even in the second article they got it wrong! Adding together his full and U21 caps he has played over 70 times for his country! They cocked up. Like I said, the official site doesn't know its arsch from its ellbogen!
hahhaha confirmed it is over 60 caps try wikipedia mate they list U21 as well - prat
I didn't realise you relied so much on the official site for your predictions HF. Surely a man of your stature would go with the gut.
If I go with the gut, I talk crap. I do research! And some say I still talk crap!
Jack, you are a moron sadly. Why can't you accept the truth, that somebody at the OS cocked up? It is so bloody obvious!
The comment with the following date and time (9 June 2010 07:58) was not me by the way!
But after reading your comments, all I will say is, you did not make it clear that you was only referring to the teaser!!
OK Jack, my apologies. If you get yourself a goole identity it is less easy to do that.
Jack, in the article itself I say "Teasing the imminent arrival of Hitlersburger, the OS announced that the new signing was a “proven international with over 60 caps”." Doesn't that make it clear?
