Sincere Apologies to Blackpool and Holloway

I have called them a pub team all season. I have mocked them. I have maintained all year that they would go down. But, I tell you what, they go down with their heads held high. That performance at Man Utd said everything about them. To have survived in the Prem until the 73rd minute of the final game, and then only to go behind to a cruel own goal, is a fantastic tribute to not only the spirit of the team but to their ability too.

Last season, Blackpool would have survived. In fact 39 points keep you up most seasons. They took 6 points off Liverpool and 4 points off Spurs. They led Man Utd 2-0 at home and 2-1 at Old Trafford. And they have scored more goals than any team relegated in the history of the premier League. What a fantastic effort!

We don't want them to do well next season of course but we have to pay tribute to them. Unlike our shower of shit, they played with courage, heart and skill all season long. Respect!

I would have loved to have supported such a manager and team this season at West Ham, even if we went down.

Unfortunately we got...Oh dear God, why do I remind myself.

Is this a whole series of "Sincere Apologies" HF? :)

When's your Grant one? Last in the series right? Go out with a bang. Good on you! :)

Trouble is, they got sussed out. Team spirit not enough. Martinez and McCarthy actually did well with supposedly 'worse' teams than WHU, beacuse they are real managers, good motivation & tactics with not so good squads. Having said that, Wigan have three decent players in Al habsi, Rodallega, & NZogbia.
One of the problems at WHU is that they believe their own 'legend', the academy, the 'west han way' etc. That is why they think they 'too good' to go down. Keen illustrated that today, blabbing about young players when his chosen team had just capitulated for 90 minutes. Anyway, we'll see if they can get back up - I can't see it happening next season....

Really HF...it doesn't look good when you make it patently obvious that you actually support TWO teams..... Spurs AND now Blackpool?!!

All the "courage", "bravery", "spirit" and determination in the world isn't going to get you anywhere if you are simply not good enough!!
Blackpool are just that...a hotch-potch team of ordinary Joe mercenaries who bluffed it for a season with their superior peers. They HAVE been the whipping boys, and they now have their just desserts!

Sure, West Ham are down...but I'm not being hypocritical...just telling it as I see it.
In fact, I gained some smug satisfaction at Blackpool's demise yesterday!

"Playing for the shirt"?! You're having a giraffe pal!!
Charlie Adam?? One of the sneakiest, dirtiest bastards that ever had the cheek to pretend to be Premier League....one minute he's whining and openly criticising his club for not 'allowing' him to move to 'a better and bigger club', the next he's kissing the badge!?? Joke! The guy's a twat, and judging from the reports of in-fighting, that's what his team-mates also think!!

Ian Holloway? No need to put anything here really...suffice to say that each surviving Premier League manager is now relieved that they won't have to stand next to or near him on the touchline next season! Moron! Every time he opens his mouth he brings shame on his club.

Pay tribute my arse! Even though we have gone down, the relegations of Sheff Utd and now Blackpool have served to keep me smiling! Oh I'm forever blowing bubbles...pretty bubbles in the air.....

Oh not this patronising "good old Blackpool" shit again!? The fact is they've been crap pretty much all season.

Like you, I said before the start of the season that they'd go down and I never changed my mind even when they were doing ok. Teams like that always get found out eventually.

So what they they were leading Man Utd 2-0 at home and 2-1 away. It's the score at the end that matters. We also led Man Utd 2-0 at home and many years ago we were a goal up at Old Trafford only to lose 7-1.

They are shit, we are shit, Grant is a cunt and Holloway is a country bumpkin totally out of his depth. End of story.

PS Yes, you're right. I'm not happy!
