Allardyce and West Ham up to their noses in the Brown Stuff!

Oh dear God, a few seasons back we were linked with Ben Thatcher, a couple of weeks back it was El Hatchet Diouf and now, the name in the frame is none other than Michael Brown!

Never mind that the guy has a name synonymous with shit; never mind that his name sums up his ability; never mind that he is a filthy bastard; never mind that he once played for Spurs; hang standards, hang heritage, hang everything West Ham United has ever stood for!

Welcome to Sam Pot's West Ham United; welcome to Sam Pot's Dirty Dozen!

Wow, you really do not have a clue. Michael brown is exactly the kind of player we need in the centre of the park. Tireless experienced midfielder. Scotty parker won't be arounf forever you know.

I know perfectly well what Brown is and what he brings to a team. You obviously do not have a clue about the values that West Ham United used to stand for.

We are also being linked with Mackail-Smith and Max Gradel. Where is your article praising this? They would be great, positive signings.

Hammersfan said...

Says who? Have you seen either play? Mackail-Smith is 27! He was in the old Third Division last season. He must be a late developer if he is any cop. £3m? That's £1 million for every minute of international football he has played!

Who says we are after Michael Brown? Sky sports I suppose. The rumours about Diouf were unfounded. Max Gradel is an excellent talent he ripped Arsenal to shreds. As for Mackail-Smith, Charlie Adam is a late developer so was Steven Gerrard. A friend of mine played up front with him at Peterborough and has nothing but praise for him.

Hammersfan said...

Stop talking out of your arse. Gerrard won his first full England cap aged 20! VERY late developer I must say! Charlie Adam is still only 25 and won his first cap aged 22!

20 is a late developer in modern football. Ok Mackail-Smith has 7 years on top of that but that doesn't mean he's a bad footballer. Over 30 goals last year. Max Gradel is only 23 and won Leeds' player of the year last year. A cap for Scotland doesn't count by the way even Mackail-Smith has a cap for them : )

Tomkins is clearly never going to play for England if 20 is a late developer!

I don't think he will. He may be third choice one day if he is lucky.

Tomkins will never play for England and it has nothing to do with his age.

I wonder if any of these Allardyce ever went to the Reebok and watched the drivel being served up yes they won more than they lost but even bolton fans never used to turn up to be 'entertained' half empty stadiums 1-0 wins I think I'll also stay at home just in case the dog shits in the garden wouldn't want dogshit in the garden

Posted by twitter account @whufcste Such a small minded comment i say give sam a chance to do it his way with his people. So what if he played for spurs. Give sam a chance he deserves that at least. How is our club suposed to progress when the ' fans ' write our potential signings off before there even signed. I learned my lesson when i wrote off a mad , crazy , wild signing for the hammers his name was paulo

I think a fair percentage of our fan base would take issue with the mentioning of Di Canio and Michael Brown in the same breath! One may be a Nazi shit but he had immense talent; the only is just a nasty shit!

My Good God.We have dropped down a league and Stevie wonder fans think we can push for someone other than fat sam. Can someone please tell me when we had the West Ham way of playing over the last so many years. He's here and he is our manager,so get over it and stop moaning like you have had a night out at bingo and didn't win.

LOL.What a nice clean put-down.

There's too much swearing on this site recently. And most of it is coming from the owner! : )

People , get real eh ! most of this is shit paper talk and give the manager a chance . Are you lot that stupid that you think people that play for tottenham actually support them !!! If Brown joins and does well whoever he played for will be history !!! UTH .

Being ex Spurs is the least of the problems!

Anonymous said...

So you have a problem with him being an ex Spur? So was Zamora, Etherington, Keane, Sheringham and Razor. The last two even had stints at Millwall! Mackail-Smith has scored goals at every club hes played at. And with regards to being a late developer, how old was Ian Wright when he signed for Arsenal?

Hammersfan said...

I was opposed to signing Ruddock as it happens but not because he was ex Spurs but because he was a footballing thug. I don't have an issue with signing ex Spurs players personally but it doesn't endear a player to West Ham fans.

Fair point about Wright but he was a bit special and had played in Cup Finals for Palace before he moved to Arsenal. He had also enjoyed two seasons in the top division with Palace, proving himself before Arsenal bought him. So even Wright played top level football at a younger age than Mackail-Smith - being 25 when he made his debut in the top tier of English football, 2 years younger than M-Smith.

So 25 isn't a late bloomer but 27 is?

Hammersfan said...

Can you not read? I say it is a FAIR POINT re Wright. There is an exception to every rule (well not quite every rule: every woman currently living in Scarborough IS fat & ugly!)and Wright is that exception, but EVEN Wright broke through 2 years EARLIER than Mucky-Smith. How many other examples can you think of, particularly since the inception of the Premier League? Put all the collective anonymice brains together and see what you come up with!

Steve Finnan

Amir Zaki : )
Ilan : )

Diego Forlan. Shit in prem but still a late bloomer

Hammersfan said...

1855, I assume the smiles indicate that those two are jokes!

Forlan made his debut aged 18 and his first full cap aged 23. He joined Uniited aged 23. Hardly a late developer!

Finnan is a good call but it happens with full backs more than with strikers. You could add Lee Dixon and Chris Powell. And a certain Stuart Pearce of course.

Anonymous said...

Forlan didn't become a goal machine till he joint Villarrel at 25. But your right most strikers show their class at a young age. Does Kevin Davies count?

Hammersfan said...

I think Davies may be the best call so far!

Drogba and malouda

Hammersfan said...

Drogba was 25, two years younger than Mucky Smith and 24 when he won his first international cap. Malouda made his debut at 16 and was playing in the top division in France aged 18. He was 25 when he joined Lyon, 2 years younger than Mucky Smith.
