Allardyce Urges 'Arry to Bid for Parker

Not that he is desperate to sell the guy or anything, but Doctor Evil has encouraged Redknapp to get his finger out and bid for Parker sooner rather than later. According to Allardyce, the later Tottenham come in for Parker, the higher the price they will have to pay. Tottenham know that is cobblers of course. With no bids on the table and Chelsea and Villa now apparently looking elsewhere, the only pressure on Parker's price is downward pressure.

The rule of supply and demand is simple enough to understand. We have a Parker to sell and nobody seems keen on buying a Parker at the moment. On that basis, does the price of a Parker go up or down? Bloody hell, even Boy Scout badge holding market traders from Chelmsford can work out the answer to that question!

I have to agree with you on that HF, both as a West Ham fan and as an economist. No prizes for guessing right though. Back in Cyprus and very jet-lagged! Any news of Stani? Did you see him at the Cricket (or whatever you call that "game") today?

That will be 2 sites you will be wrong on with this bit of rehashed old twaddle!! And to think I was almost missing you as well!!!

Only showing that story on Vital football which is usually crap. If its true then its bloody embarassing

Come on Sav, Stani supports Pakistan, he is not going to go to a game between England and India! That would be like Parker turning up at the Chelsea v Tottenham game!

you forget sam signed campo and hierro for free, both real madrid legends, he got anelka to sign for bolton in his prime, he brought jay jay to this country and what a joy that was to watch. he sold us dyer for 6 million and benni mccarthy for 3 million, the guy should be knighted for dealings in the transfer market. if you dont trust him you have issues. dyer was on the scrap heap and he had the gall to demand more cash (and we paid it) and mccarthy was so far past it he would of been surplus, a drain on funds at blackburn but he managed to sell him for more than blackburn paid for him 4 years and 52 goals earlier. the west ham of old were mugs, we were the ones buying the trash and selling our best players for daft amounts, cole, carrick, bobby z, defoe, kanoute, johnson, tricky trev etc so i could understand yor viewpoint, but your living in the past. we have a new board, a new manager, new back room staff, we have signed 3 premiership players, two get 10 a season from midfield, the other gives us depth at cb. i dont trust blindly, there are compelling reasons to believe. we could start slowly and you will continue to moan but you better get used to putting on a happy face because we are building something good

Sav if you're so worried about stani, why don't you contact him through his blog?

Hammersfan said...

Now why did it take so long for somebody to hit on that idea?

Hammersfan said...

Hmmm, getting spooky. Stani hasn't updated his blog since June 16 and hasn't been on here since the same date. Perhaps we do need Interpol!

Maybe he doesn't exist hammers? Maybe he was the ultimate wind up. Stole your crown in that case!

Hammersfan said...

LOL Stani not exist? There's a thought.

Hammersfan said...

Perhaps I invented him?

I just imagine HF at his desk, raising the finger and saying:"Stani isn't here, Mrs. Torrance."

Anonymous said...

No, you have enough on your plate inventing yourself.

The greatest trick stani ever pulled, to convince people that he DOES exist! Lol!

20:25 is spot on, HF. There I go again with my happy pills. I think the message Sam was giving was to NOT think this is the West Ham of old in transfers. I have often mentioned the Dyer deal as evidence of Sams accumen there, so Im happy its been brought up again.

What is Stani's blog, by the way? Never knew he had one.

Hammersfan said...

If we have changed, why didn't Allardyce say, "Parker isn't foir sale. Tottenham can't afford him even when they sell Modric to Chelsea!"?

USA Dave said...

Because in our pisition he IS for sale, HF. But Sam is making it clear that he wont be bullied or dictated to no matter what the cost. You want Parker? Fine. Pay up, and do it in a way that works for US. Not you. US. Otherwise SuGrBrat will simply have to pay the contract they wrote up. Fine by Sam, I reckon. Come January the price will certainly jump and by then we may be in a position where Sam tells teams Parkerbis absolutely staying.
