The truth is, Nolan has a very, very nasty side to him and his tackling is not just reckless, it is brutal and sinister. Take a look at the pictures and, with today's challenge in mind and the rake on Zigic, tell me this is not a hatchet man!

Allardyce Defends Nolan
So according to Doctor Evil, Captain Kev was unlucky to see red against Millwall - well he's not going to admit that his pet player behaved like a complete cnut is he?
According to Allardyce, the tackle was not "endangering the opposition player" and was not "out of control" or "with velocity". Bollocks. As I saw it, I flinched and said, "He's off!" It was a disgraceful tackle, and Nolan is not a stranger to those is he? Remember the foul on Zigic anybody?
The truth is, Nolan has a very, very nasty side to him and his tackling is not just reckless, it is brutal and sinister. Take a look at the pictures and, with today's challenge in mind and the rake on Zigic, tell me this is not a hatchet man!

I see Zigic has been under the sunbed again or is it that tanning cream...
Must be a bloody big sunbed!
In light of the pictures you've found above I think his best quote was "Kevin's tackles don't injure players" so I guess the third frame would show how he pulled out of the Everton tackle!
The more I look at the second picture, the worst it gets. Look at the eyes......directly looking at the leg, not the ball! No slight turn of the head as he reacts (or not) to the deviation, nasty, nasty, player. (by the way not up late, just waiting for plane in Sydney)
hes our captain he might not be the best weve ever had but we should support him not slag him off theres no more players coming in this season we are stuck with what weve got so instead of writing negative things about nolan just support what weve got and hopefully nolan and co can get us back in the premier league where we belong and hopefully fat sam will get the england job
Trying to score points with the UP faithful and too pumped for the game. The only unprofessional aspect of yesterday's performance.
Definitely, that was a reckless tackle. I guess that challenge deserved a red card. However, Nolan being off proved we are a better side without him! COYI! I reckon he'll be out for 3 games?
The problem is that Nolan feels he is above criticism Jim. He can stroll around, offer next to nothing in a game and make tackles like yesterday's, and against Zigic - picking up a suspension in the process - and know Allardyce will both back him and pick him. That's a dangerous situation. Perhaps criticism might encourage him to get fully fit and put in a shift!
hf i think nolan is hyped up all i can say is i hope we win our next 3 games make a hatful of chances stay top of the table and then how can fat sam bring him back straight away i agree with a lot of what you say about nolan but we are stuck with him and i find it hard to believe how nolan has got such a career out of football as take his goals away and hes piss poor if he put away half the chances away hes missed this season hed be england captain not just westhams starting from a tap in header v cardiff hes missed countless chances but as i say hes all weve got but 3 wins on the trot and who knows captain from the bench
I still rate him Jim, but he needs a rocket up his arse. The trouble is, he's been untouchable up to now. Hopefully, as you say, three wins without him will show him that he can't expect to be picked automatically. We may then see a leaner and more mobile Nolan.
with all 11 players still on the pitch yesterday and the way cole held things up if nolan had have still been on the pitch he would have got atleast two or three chances but would have scored i aint so sure
Noble said: "I was pretty close to it and it was a 50-50 challenge. Their player made a lot of it.
"When it's nine minutes in and the ball is rolling between two players, you have to go for it."
Where you closer than Noble HF, I presume you were at the game?
No I wasn't at the game, I had great ringside seats in a pub with a massive screen. I saw it in wonderfull close up thanks. And unlike Noble and those at the game, I saw it replayed countless times. Nolan went in two footed, the debate ends there, whether you like it our not. Verdict on the Fottball league Show. Definitely a sending off. Verdict on Sky: "When Nolan started playing that sort of challenge was ok, but now it is unquestionably a red card". My verdict watching it live? I flinched and said red card. My verdict on replays. Red card. Verdict from West Ham fans on the Org? Red card. Noble is wrong!
By the way, I had no idea why the penalties were given against Forest UNTIL I saw the highlights on TV after being at the game and seeing the match live.
17:07 with all due respect you've rarely got much of a clue from what I can make out, mind you've I've never met you in real life as I've only ever viewed you through a computer screen.
