Is international football easy or are some West Ham players uncommitted to club football?

Sorry, but you have to ask the question. Week in, week out, Spector and Barrera look crap, yet put an international shirt on them, and suddenly they look the part!

This weekend, Barrera had a hand in two Mexico goals, Spector played at right back - a problem position at West Ham for 3 years now - against Messi and Argentina and was not disgraced, Keane climbed off the treatment table and netted the winner for the Republic of Ireland, Ba scored a late winner for Senegal and Parker played a starring role for England, albeit against the might of Wales! And yet we are fourth from bottom in the Prem!

You can add to that list Tomkins who was a star for the England U21s in a 4-0 victory over Denmark and Green will probably play for England on Tuesday. Hitz famously captained Germany on the eve of this season, Cole has not looked out of his depth in an England shirt, Jacobsen is a regular for Denmark, da Costa has been in the Portugal squad, Upson played in the last World Cup and Bridge would be on England duty if Terry hadn't cocked up his international career - literally! Oh and Obinna and Ilunga have both ended up in the winning sides in qualification for the Africa Nations Cup. You have to wonder why we are not challenging for a place in the Champions League based on that list!

If I was Grant, I would be having a chat with Barrera in particular on his return and asking, through an interpreter, what the fcuk he is up to. If he can look so good for Mexico, why can't he pick a cross or a pass in the Prem?

did you watch all these games? OR just seen the scores and a bit from the OS who will make them sound good.
They weren't competitive, so who says Argentina went all for it? Mexico played Paraguay. not exactly premier league class. You may be right they may care more about their countries, but not a whole lot to back this up with.

In which case 2204, the conclusion is that international football is easy. I ask a question, I don't supply an answer.

What a load of crap. I can understand the criticism of Barrera but Ba, Spector and Parker - do me a favour. Barrera is clearly not up to the PL physically so it is always likely he is going to look better for a South American team against South American opposition. Spector is not a great defender - but always gives 100% when he plays for us in any position. Demba Ba only joined in January and has been a revelation. Keane and Bridge only joined in January and Hitzlsperger only made his debut around the same time You can hardly blame them for our poor league position can you?

A crap article with no substance to back it up

Ilunga? Obinna?

Take your point and all I can think of in response is the fact that the 'prem' is a much more physical, high tempo, pressurised enviroment. There is no other reason..Barrera,Behrami,Specs,CC,Gabbs,LBM(of old) have looked incapable of fizzy pop capability at best yet internationally they shine. Grant must be ringing his hands (and not just at temple). Was the young lad Neymar (Brazil v Scots) linked with us..he looked the business tonight.

It's probably happened more slowly, but do you think Saturday's game signalled the end of Joey Cole's international career HF? I cannot see him even getting in the squad now.

A career that didn't live up to the hype.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was back at upton park within a year.

Ilunga has been poor for 2 seasons. I still do not see a direct correlation between your accusation that these players try for their countries and not for their club. I have seen no reports that Ilunga has been sensational for DR Congo. Have you?

Obinna started slowly for us but is now becoming more of a team player. He is 23 years of age and has come from warming the bench at Inter to the PL. Not easy.

in the space of a few days, talking about the same game, Parker has gone from "Parker Efficiently Anonymous!" to "Parker played a starring role for England".

Its like you change your opinion to try and prove your pointless points that half the time are utter bullsh*t

God mate, you've lost your way and your mojo - I can't remember the last time you posted anything remotely interesting. This post is a waste of everyone's time.
