Jordan Spence on 24 Hour Stand By

It sounds as if  young Spence is doing well down at Bristol City, with their results improving since his arrival. He is playing at right back, interestingly, and whilst it is only the Championship, he has done well enough for the Robins to extend his loan.

But Grant has insisted on a 24 hour stand by clause, enabling us to recall Spence should we need him. It would be great if we could pull sufficiently clear of trouble to allow the boy to enjoy a run out in the Prem before the end of the season. That's dangerously optimistic I know, so I'm going to retract it immediately just in case. But, you know what I mean...

Spence is tall and quick and has filled out since that picture! Let's hope his development continues apace. It would be great to see an Academy Graduate holding down a first team place in the Prem next season!

To any Bristol City fan visiting the site, how has he looked in a Robins shirt?

i hope we him and tombides get a few run outs and also hoping we start sears against man united instead of gary oneil also hope we play piquionne on the left again and demba ba as the striker down the middle then we could give man u a real game for thier money

Maybe him pictured in the number 6 shirt is an omen?

The Championship has it's strengths HF, particular for toughing up defenders. Don't be mean. I also heard somewhere that it's the 5th biggest league in the world.

Obinna on the left against man u for me Fred. But Keane's back too, provided he's not injured on int duty. Interesting to see what Grant does about Keane, Obinna, Cole and Pique. Ba's nailed on starter for me. I'd go:

.....Keane...Ba
Obinna..............

stani its intersting but obinna needs to play like he did in the 4-0 win and id rather not play keane as man u dont have a defnce for our game at this rate and i think its est if we play obinna/sears and piquionne on the wings with demba ba through the middle as hes more dangerous there but cole and o'neill definitley need to be dropped for the man u game in my opinion id go osmething liek this for a whole lineup

Ba
obinna/sears piquionne

Hitz parker noble

bridge upson da costa jacobsen

green

if piq isnt fit though i would go
with keane down the middle and Ba on the right as jabosen needs less covering then bridge at times.

HF stani is right aswell championship has become alot better over the last couple years and it will do spence good to be there and soon i hope tombides does aswell

Fred, I agree about dropping Cole and O'Neill for the manu game yet I would drop Pique for the same reasons. He will go missing in the game for too long, like he does. Added to that, Keane's something out of nothing ability could nick us a goal.
