Maynard wasn't at the top of our shopping list but he is somebody we have been looking at. He may not be coming to the Boleyn but he is almost certainly on his way out of Ashton Gate. Given he can leave on a Bosman in the summer, the fee would be very low so minimal risk would be involved. If he aint good enough, he can be moved on again in the summer. Sounds like a Sullivan style deal to me!

How is it Bullshit? He was RUBBISH at Brighton two weeks ago and was rightly dropped, he's been in terrible form this season.
He's dropped to 3rd choice striker, because Wood and Pitman are both all round better players
He'll turn down West Ham, like he turned down Wigan and Leicester, he wants a decent Premiership move, despite his ability not justifying it.

Think he's genuinely dropped. Been poor for a few wks, we signed Chris Wood on loan & McInnes has played just one striker in 90% of his games so far.
Saw someone else wonder of you, Soton, Cardiff etc came in with £750k-£1m bid for him on Tuesday & offered him a 6-month contract whether club/player might take the bait. He's dead set on Premier Lge but that might be viable short-term alternative if no-one else comes in for him.
